Just a couple of my favorite lines 🤭
This books is roughly 162 pages of pure adrenaline. Dark mafia with an MMC who stalks, demands, kills for her, & praises her with the two simple words that all dark romance lovers love to see: “good girl.”
We have Hannah, who has run away from her father and tried to create a normal life for herself. She becomes a paralegal while in school for criminal justice. One day, she has to call Tristen Maroni, the heir to the most nefarious Brooklyn Mafia: The Crimson Veil. Also known as the shadow king, the one all of New York fears. He tells her his tech guy will be doing a back ground check on her and that it’s something he has done with every person he speaks to. That is just the beginning for this fast-paced, deliciously dark love story.
Some things happen, and that sends her father on the hunt to fine her again. Tristen has laid his claim to her & will do anything to keep her safe…until he can’t… This very last line of the story, “Game on motherf——,” has me DYING to get to book two!!
The only thing that stopped me from giving this book five stars, was the constant repetition of “get it together, Hannah” & “get it together, Tristen.” It was slightly irritating because it was just so repetitive that it stood out to me. But that’s the only issue I had with this story! It’s a super quick read, and it will definitely keep you on your toes and your heart racing from the beginning to the very last sentence!

This book has so many good little pieces that made me squeal and kick my feet!
From Tristen knowing Hannah Googled him to using an unknown number to warn her she is in danger to finding out just how obsessed he is with her. And all it took for Tristen was hearing her voice one time! Eek!
There was just the right amount of spice for the book length in my opinion.
Thankfully, the cliffhanger didn't wreck me, it just left me wanting more!
I rated this book 4 stars instead of 5 because I felt somewhat confused at the way the MCs interacted after a time jump. I do wish we had more context as to what happened during that time. Overall, I really enjoyed this book, definitely recommend and cannot wait for book 2!

THIS… IS THE NEXT BEST BOOK IN DARK MAFIA ROMANCE AND I’M NOT SAYING THAT LIGHTLY. I’M SAYING THIS BECAUSE Devoted to the Devil BY KARA MURPHY COMES IN LIKE A FULL-BLOWN STORM AND DOESN’T JUST GRAB YOUR ATTENTION IT STRANGLES IT, DEMANDS YOUR TIME, AND DOES NOT LET YOU GO
Let me tell you something right now this book is an EXPERIENCE.
We follow Hannah… a woman just trying to survive her world… until one night changes everything. She’s working late, vulnerable, exposed and then BAM danger shows up wearing a familiar face tied to her father’s control. And just when things are about to go VERY wrong… Tristan steps in.
And Tristan? He’s not your hero.
He’s THE DEVIL.
He’s the SHADOW KING.
He’s a full blown mafia boss with power, presence, and a reputation that screams don’t touch what’s mine unless you want to die.

Devoted to the Devil is a short dark romance but dont let that fool you. DTTD is one of those books that completely pulls you in from the very first page. The author does an incredible job blending suspense, emotion, and dark mystery into a story that is impossible to put down. I had this finished in an hour. The characters Tristan and Hannah feel real and layered, and the tension builds perfectly throughout the book.
What stood out the most was the atmosphere — every chapter leaves you wanting more. There was a part during the time gape that i wish was more developed however it didnt take away from the story, I would just perfer more story. This books writing is vivid and addictive, making it easy to become fully invested in the story and its characters.
If you enjoy dark romance, psychological tension, and stories that keep your heart racing, this book is absolutely worth reading. Devoted to the Devil is gripping, intense, and unforgettable. I finished it thinking about the story long after the last page. I cant wait for book 2

Spicy, Dark Mafia Romance
Are you looking for a fatal attraction type romance? This book just might be for you! It has a fun, old-timey, black and white Minnie Mafia feel and lord help me, it made me laugh.
The main female character follows the rich girl rejects her parents money to make it on her own trope- but with a fun little twist- She's very attracted to power, especially the power wielded by our main male character.
Now about our main male character- the whole city knows him as The Shadow King, though Johnny law has yet to prove he's committed a crime.
I can't help it, I like those cheesy old time dime store novel tropes...
All its missing is the "Now listen here" that comes before the "Sweet heart". I can even forgive that one villain for his poor math skills.
Oh, I also learned something from this book... Did you know "penthouse" no longer means the super luxury suite at the top of a high rise? Me either. Turns out anything that has nice appliances can be called one by marketers these days. Who knew? Kara Knew, and now so do we!

🥀 Arc Review 🥀
This is one of the best mafia romances I've read yet. Tristan and Hannah has so much pull between one another that you'd think it was fate. Both from diffrent worlds however both with a connection so deep that nothing can break it. It ends on a cliffhanger but I hear from a creditable source (Author 🤣) book 2 will be im the works soon! Spice rating a solid 4/5! Plot is thriving for a novella! I highly recommend to anyone who loves mafia romance thats so gripping that you won't beable to put down.

OMFG tis book had me hooked from start to finish and still wanting more. Never thought I would be the one for a mafia boss book but comes to find out I got hooked. the way Kara told Tristen and Hannahs story is amazing and will make you not want to put the book down. I was still sitting on the edge of my seat making me feel like I was part of the book and that to me is a good book. I love a good book that makes me feel like I am in the story as the character. Definitely a must read book.

I absolutely loved this book! From the very first page, I was drawn into the story and couldn't put it down. It's a short read but page turning worthy.
Tristen is morally grey in all the right ways. His obsession with Hannah is a perfect blend of unnerving and delicious. I was captivated by the journey of Hannah and Tristen and devoured this book in 3 hours.
I cannot wait for book 2!!!

This book was perfect!! It had spice and an amazing thrill to it. Tristen is the protective mmc that we all want in our lives!! The way she writes bring so much emotion to the chapters😍 so excited to read her other book and to continue reading the series as it is released🤭

Not too spicy, not too dark for those who like to dabble in dark romance this is a good place to be!
This book had me blushing from the flirtatious devil known as Tristian. He gave me ALL the vibes 🥵 burn the world, literally kill for you, make you scream his name and then, fix you a bath.
Hannah and her simplicity normal girl yet has been through some things yet to be known. She is just like us, her perfect colored coffee, her books and dog by her side.
The way this ended having me kicking my feet for more! I Absolutley loved this read! Read in one day, I need more Tristian and I need him now! 🖤
