Confessions of a First Lady 2

Rate this book
Six months after the shocking confessions and drama unfold in the church, the Millhouse family is left trying to pick up the pieces.

Their lives are in shambles with Veronica being gone. MJ is adjusting to fatherhood while Dynasty is taking the absence of her mother extremely hard. How could a woman who knows what it feels like for their mother to walk out on them turn around and do the same to her own kids. The apple definitely doesn't fall too far from the tree.

Meanwhile, Veronica has decided to rekindle her flame with Iesha. That doesn't sit too well with Adrian, who has also joined them on their little getaway. Although she's been Iesha's ride or die through it all, Adrian feels she will never have Iesha to herself because of the love she has for Veronica. This drives Adrian to extremities that will cause Iesha’s life to be turned upside down.

As the search continues for Veronica, secrets are revealed and pieces of the puzzle are put together. An unexpected visitor sheds some much needed light on the entire situation. Why did Veronica really walk out on her family? Is there more to the story? Will the Millhouse family survive and stay strong, or have these confessions destroyed them?

Nothing is ever what it seems and just when you think you have it all figured out God allows another bomb to drop. Who will be left standing when the smoke clears and can God repair all that is broken?

awesome

This was a great follow up to the first part. There was a lot of secrets that was revealed in this story as well a lot of twist and turns that was not seen before hand. I couldn't put this book down, and cannot wait for for the next part to see what happens next in this saga.

All over the place

I wasn't crazy about 1st lady 1. But I thought I would try the #2 and see if the writing had gotten better since it was free or discounted. The writer jumps to many thoughts without drawing each one out and building on it. My generation calls this a plot. It is written for a couple of generations under me which is the now generation which could explain writing style. I finally put it down 45% in.

Confessions

I made the mistake of reading the sequel quite some time after the initial installment. This mistake quickly became apparent once I realized that I couldn't remember the initial roles of some of my favorite characters. So I had to go back to the beginning and reread in search of the memory I had apparently lost . Thank God the author had a trained eye out for readers such as myself who made the mistake of leaving too much time in between reads. I followed her queues off and on for some time until it all began to come back to me. It was on from then until the very last page and once again I got hung unexpectedly !!! For all of the years that I have been in the body of Christ, I am not sure I am aware of a First Lady that has ever endured the trauma, pain, tragedies, crippling heart breaks and dangers that Veronica endured. This was some tough lady that the hands of God had to obviously be protecting or I simply couldn't imagine whether she would have lived or died or gone insane if not taking her own life. There were no lulls in either book that I can remember but I can remember being touched by so many of the characters and circumstances they experienced enough to identify as being real and still alive to this very day in the body of Christ. Evil has no respect of persons and sin forever rears its ugly head in the lives of God's people. Indeed, jealousy is as cruel as the grave as God's Word so boldly states and the manifestations of its cruelties certainly were depict in these two books. It was the catalyst that created death, betrayal, insanity, legal ramifications, family divisions, and emotional, spiritual and psychological trauma that only God can heal. This is a strongly recommended read for families, couples, church folks, preachers, law enforcement officers, as wells as addicts, gender identity problem individuals, and prostitutes alike to soak up and think about even if this genre is not normally your thing. And oh, gotta love some cliffhangers, because it is bound to sneak upon you every time that you aren't looking.

Sooo Good.

Omg this is my first time reading Denora Boone, and honey you showed out. I love this book girl you had me thinking and praising all the way through this book. Your characters was like the real thing. We as people always think because and person is a pastor or first lady that they never had problems. But most of the time they are where they are because of what they been through. This was such a good read for me . I'm looking forward to part 3. God bless you and continue to write.

A Crazy Mess

The first couple of chapters had me confused until I read further and realize that was Iesha crazy a$$. Marcus was going through a lot while they kidnapped Veronica. Adrian is just as Looney as Iesha herself. Keith that must if been some good stuff that she put on you to make you be a part of a dumb plot and loose your job. Sarita should of been told her daughter why she left her husband

Good read, filled readers in on what happened after the drama and tragedy in the church and her connection to ladies that brought the drama in pt 1. It wasn't until close to end of book when readers finally found out what happened to First Lady. Was not expecting the cliffhanger that will have us again waiting for the next book in series.

I was a little disappointed at the beginning because I was confused. Later on in the book I started to realize what was going on, but it was too late than because I was already irritated. This was an okay read. I just wish the author didn't make it so confusing at the beginning, but overall it was okay.

This book was pretty good, can't believe that Veronica and Adrian are sisters. The hatred was unbelievable.. I could not believe that Veronica use to be a pimp!! Don't let me get to talking about leash.. That untried is something else!! I still have some question though!! That ending thru me for a loop!!

Good Book

This book had me in the beginning, I was like no way did Veronica just flip like that. Although, I skimmed through some parts, the book was good. It definitely leaves you wondering what is going to happen next. I'm wondering how did Veronica know everything that she did in the end. I guess I have to wait until Part 3 to find out.

Lots of unexpected twists to the story. Real people who love God in a believable way. I'm looking forward to the next sequel.

I didn't like how crazy she was not how dirty the Police were. I recommend this book to people who do not like predictable storylines. Good testimony to real Christian example during tragedy.

Well geesh. The church has been tossed up for sure with the unspeakable events. That Adrienne is a mess and then some. I am like "Harpo Who Dis Here" when it comes to Ieisha, her character is totally off her rocker. She has not screws to be loose. this book had me on the edge of a breakdown. Loved the way the story was written. This book was the bomb!

This book picks up just where part 1 left off. It does not disappoint. You learn something with each turn of the page. I am so ready for part 3 to see how this story turns out. There are so many unanswered questions. Denora Boone, as long as you keep them coming, I will keep reading them.
