A good story and good beginning to a series. A little repetitious and verbose, but lived up to its name of being a slow burner. Will move on with the series, thank you.

Medical drama
I love a medical setting for a sapphic romance so I was pleased to find this book.
It does a good job setting out the repetitive nature of the A&E department, the shifts, the staff and the highly stressful work required. I might have liked a bit more of an overarching story arc, and less focus on this medical repetition, which became too much for me by the end
It was great to have a book set in Manchester, UK, rather than the USA. As an English person it just feels more realistic!

She doesn’t just fall for Erin; she shows up as a leader, a colleague, and a woman who knows her worth. The way she demonstrates her expertise and value to everyone around her is deeply satisfying. It ensures that no one can claim favoritism or question her position, and it makes her romance with Erin feel earned rather than risky.
Together, Sam and Erin work incredibly well. Their chemistry is fun, their banter is engaging, and their teamwork feels natural. Yes, falling for a coworker can get messy—but the author shows how two adults can navigate that complexity with honesty, restraint, and respect. If this is book one, I’m going to need this writer to speed up her deadlines and deliver more of this series soon.
What did I like about this book? Pretty much everything. The chemistry between Sam and Erin was delicious. The side characters were woven in with such attention to detail I felt like I was working the floor with the team.
It was a treat to read this book and I very much wanted it to continue. A great read.

Great chemistry with the leads and the author gave us a full rounded cast with medical details that made the setting feel real. Some chapters felt extraneous and didn't say anything that added to the plot (rehashing the same feelings for several paragraphs). Could use some editing. All in all I enjoyed it and will give other books by this author a read.

Sam and Erin were a lovely couple to read about. I really enjoyed the book. I was rooting for their relationship, especially when I wasn’t sure Erin would her head out of her behind.

I enjoyed this book
I really enjoyed this book. The characters and storyline were engaging keeping me reading from the first page. If medical dramas is your thing, I highly recommend this book.

Great first book in a new series. Lots of angst and tension but HEA does happen! Took a chance of this one and looking forward to the rest of the series!
