End Game is the last book in the best-selling Roll for Love trilogy, an MMMFM polyamorous romance filled with found family, D&D-coded chaos, marriage-of-convenience consequences, consent-forward kink, ridiculous group chats, emotional healing, and five people discovering that happily ever after doesn’t have to look the way anyone else expects it to.

They rolled for initiative.

They learned how to play with advantage.

Now they have to figure out what happens after everyone falls in love.

Cami is learning that being loved by four people might be the least complicated part. Griffin is still trying to protect everyone. Ronan is learning that control is easier than feelings. Micah is finally taking up space. And Dex remains three bad decisions in a trench coat—with a guitar.

Somewhere between campaign nights, shared beds, questionable uses of rope, family drama, and enough emotional processing to make everyone deeply uncomfortable, they’ve built something real.

A family.

Now they just have to keep it.

Because happily ever after doesn’t come with a rulebook.

And if the universe thinks it can break them apart?

It better roll for initiative.

Bestselling author Maelana Nightingale writes romance that bleeds, breathes, and burns—stories where love is messy, healing is hard, and desire is sacred.

Her novels span contemporary found-family romances, dark and taboo stories, and sweeping romantic fantasy, united by raw emotion and unflinching realism. Known for intimate, character-driven storytelling, her work explores connection, power, and trust in ways that feel lived-in rather than performative—and never shies away from the complicated edges of love.

A nurse by trade and storyteller by soul, she brings authenticity to every page—from medical precision to the psychology of trauma, trust, and connection. When she’s not writing, she’s usually wrangling one of her five children or navigating the controlled chaos of her corporate healthcare day job.

This book was a fucking beast and it wasn’t perfect by any measure, but it was packed with tons of heart, and I’m gonna always show up for books like that every damn time. Unlike these characters who hate getting emotionally weaponized, that’s my own personal favorite kind of masochism.

Okay, so yeah, there were maybe some small errors and there were things that I wanted differently for the group, specifically solo time between Micah and Cami that I couldn’t help notice was missing in 1000+ pages. (After two books, it sometimes felt like their love was only an extension of “through Dex” or “through Ronan” and I missed when it was just them.) But having said that, this polycule has experienced so much fucking growth in their love, their kink, and how they express themselves individually, in different dynamics within the polycule, to their families, and in and out of sex that involves scenes and different kink elements and consent. I loved the way they all kept showing up for each other. I laughed and blubbered my way through every one of these pages, and I feel like these characters will probably stick with me a long time. They’re flawed and human, and they admit that on the page, and they keep trying to grow, keep choosing each other, and there is something so fucking beautiful about that.

Now I’m gonna go clutch a pillow and cry about this campaign being over, and then maybe pull myself together long enough to go see what Jeremiah is about because I didn’t know that these cameo characters in this book actually existed outside of this book. Go figure.

Beautiful ending

I tried to finish this one by release day, but she is a beast, in the absolute best way possible! These characters have burrowed into my heart and made a home there. It's so hard to see their story come to a close, but is was worth the wait! Everything is tied together so nicely. This book covers a lot of ground both in storyline and the amount of time that passes, so settle in, get comfortable, and give this series a chance. I think you'll come to love it as much as I have!

I have been counting down the days before getting the chance to read this book. The semi cliffhanger that we were left on had my nerves frayed. I was so worried about Ronan and how he would react to the event that happened at his family home. It was intense and I love how he handled it. This book is full of so much emotion and it emphasizes communication within all aspects of the group. They are a multi relationship polycule and each person has different needs and it takes a lot to make things like this work. I felt part of the characters lives being able to witness the growth they each had individually and together. This is one of the most realistic series I have read and it truly brings to life the real battles people struggle with and learn from in the real world. This also helps us to understand that being different is ok and that what we feel is what matters vs how other people see us and whether it is worth the struggle or not. Love is totally worth the struggle BTW. It was intense seeing how the characters changed and grew. I was so impressed with Griffin especially when He and Ronan were first intimate with Cami. It was surprising and quite perfect. This book has all the spice, it revs up high. The scenes are well written and also educational. Communication and awareness are key is the top lesson and that each person has the power even in a power dynamics arranged. Throughout this book I felt a complete array of emotions. I was all over the place, there is so much that happens. The family drama among the families, the public drama, work stresses and the D&D campaign, medical scares and other dramas that happen. I've laughed and I have cried, I feel like a cheerleader for this family and it brings me joy and sorrow that we have concluded this story and campaign. I cried at the end no doubt and it was surprising how emotional I felt. I loved the entire trilogy. Book by book the romance grew and exploded in the best of ways. The build up was worth it all and I adore all 5 of them. So different each of them are but kindred all the same. The last chapter of the book brings it all together in a magical and beautiful way.
I highly recommend this book for those who love why choose, in it's truest form. This series will give you a true understanding on a real level of the challenges and joys of this sort of lifestyle and love is love. I enjoyed the D&D aspect as well, it was creative and relatable.

1,000,000/10. No notes. 150+ highlights.

Maelana is an incredible author. These characters? Yeah, they will forever be in my heart. Didn’t think I could become more attached to them after Initiative and Advantage… they are home. (Yes, my eyes are wet as I write this.)

I’ve reread the first two books (TWICE) and cannot wait to reread this one. It had everything. It was hilarious, emotional (both good and bad), and so much perfect found family with imperfect characters.

Emotional

Oh my goodness this series what a beautiful series. I laughed and cried. I Read books 1 & 2 together and waited for the last. But had to re read 1 & 2 to remind myself. They were even better second time around but 3 wrecked me. These characters I don’t want to say goodbye to…..

End of the Campaign

I have been enthusiastic for this whole journey. For this one, I got to 50% and was worried that there was still so much of the book. Turns out, there was much left to go through. Such a satisfying story and hopeful ending. Thank you for the campaign.

ITS OVER???? Noooooooo! These characters have my heart. All the way. I want to walk into that house on a Thursday night, give them a big ole group hug, and sit down for the D&D campaign. They had so much growth, resilience, and finally made their family. The kink dynamics were amazing and the banter was top tier. I laughed and cried happy tears throughout the whole series. They fought hard for their little family and deserve all the happiness. I loved how the ending made everything come full circle. I hope this gets a full cast audio someday. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

**Screaming, crying, throwing up**

This was the perfect, and hefty, ending to the series.

I was so anxious to read this one after the ending of Advantage. I needed to find out how our favorite polycule was going to handle such a situation.
I was not disappointed.

While I do think the book didn't need to be as long as it is (I'm sorry, Maelana! I know you already struggled to make cuts!) I think everything was wonderful and so spot on. Maelana wrote these amazing, lovable, flawed but growing, characters that will stay with me forever.

I hate that the game has ended ::crying face::

Being chosen to ARC read all 3 of these books was so awesome. I wasn't ready for this one in that I wasn't ready for their story to end!

Maelana gave us a beast of a book for the end of their campaign, but our favorite Polycule definitely didn't disappoint!! Cami, Griffin, Micah, Dexter, and Ronan certainly loved, joked, and even faced some serious moments in this final book. They cemented their lives together in more ways than one, and the spice was top tier! My heart broke a little when the campaign ended, but I am hopeful we will see them again!!

Thank you Maelana for a great series!!

The third book in the Roll For Love series, End Game is amazing. It is quite thick, but doesn’t feel like it drags on. It is sad that we won’t be having these characters anymore, but their growth as individuals and how all their relationships were developed was well done. This book has it all from drama, stress, spice (quite a bit), banter and found family. I look forward to seeing what’s next from Maelana.

I demolished this series in a matter of a few days, I slightly regret it but I couldn't put it down... I need more. Dex and Micah are my favourite characters by far and I dont want to let them go im too emotionally invested in this series. I stumbled onto these books by chance and loved every second of them.

The whole series is great but for great, authentic representation of kink polyam and queer in general this book is amazing
