The story was a cutey patotey story. I liked the mild drama and the friends to lovers storyline. I liked and enjoyed their journey to happily ever after.
A quick Friends to Lovers read! I can’t lie, I feel like Lucky was an overly complicated character for such a short read. She had so many emotions going on that it kind of made her annoying since there wasn’t much time to break them all down. There was a few inconsistencies in the book as well like her mentioning changing Lady’s diapers but she was 3 when her mom was pregnant or mentioning they were all 2 years apart but again she was 3 when Lady was born. I loved Navi but that conversation with Grant seemed out of character for him, it would’ve been more believable for him to be talking to Davis. Overall, it was a good and short read.
This short novella about Navi and Lucky was a friends to lovers story about childhood best friends. He had loved Lucky forever but felt he had been permanently relegated to the friend zone. She asked him to pretend to be her boyfriend for the weekend of her sister’s wedding, and he couldn’t keep his feelings hidden any longer. She had a lot of insecurities about her lack of a love life and being single. It just took the weekend of pretending to realize that what she always wanted was right in front of her. The story had deep emotions, family bonds and insecurities, steamy scenes and language, and a HEA.
I’m not sure how this beautiful story got packed into so few pages but it was perfect. Feeling overwhelmed by the pressure of her mom Lucky calls on her bestie Navi to pull off a plan to get her mom off her back. All the while lines get crossed and their relationship drifts off into uncharted waters but it may just be luckiest day of their lives. It has some life gems in there as well such as setting boundaries, being honest with how others make you feel, having difficult conversations, and love out loud those that see you!
Hmmm, “Just His Luck” 🍀 (4.50 ⭐️’s) was an entertaining read. However, both Lucky & Navi been searching 👀 for love in all the wrong places. Only to discover, (que the music DJ🤭), “I’ve been looking around and (Ms. & Mr.) you’ve been here all the time” 🤷🏾♀️. Well, bettet late than never‼️
When you need a quick date for your sister ls wedding who better than your boy bestie l. This was so amazing my favorite tropes friends to lovers and fake dating. It was just the right amount of drama and love to keep you drawn in. I wouldn’t be mad if we got more or lucky and Navi .
I enjoyed reading about Navi and Lucky. Navi did not play when it came to Lucky. Timing is everything. Some things you have to go through to really appreciate when you get that good thing.
Ms. LB did her thing with this one! Short and sweet, there is an entire arc here, the type you get with a 200 page novel. This was lovely and Navi is a dream guy with flaws, which makes him so real
This book was so cute! Laquana is a new author to me and I’ll be reading her work again! Great job, even with the drama, the story was perfect. A friends to lovers will always be TOP Tier! 🩷🩷
I was looking for a quick read with a cute storyline and this was perfect. I ended up wishing it was longer or had a part two to follow their journey, but I’ll be reading more from this author for sure!
I love a good friends to lovers stories and this one just might be one of my favorites. Navi took the opportunity to go for what he really wanted and got it.
Ughhh I love these stories but most importantly, your writing was perfect through each chapter. This was a love story waiting to happen and I’m happy it happened. The transition chapters at the wedding rehearsal told me you knew exactly what you were doing 👏🏾
