Before We Touch is a quick, engaging read that balances emotional tension with plenty of chemistry between the main characters. It follows the previous entries and shows a leap of faith in the characters that most normal couples face, but is nonetheless compelling. The novella does a good job of building anticipation and developing the connection between the leads without feeling rushed. While I would have liked a little more depth in some areas, the story is well-paced, entertaining, and leaves you wanting to continue the series. A satisfying addition to the One Life collection.

This story has somewhat of a slow subdued vibe. If that's your thing, then you'll probably like this.

Personally, I wish it had way more hot intimate scenes. Even the threesome was a little on the melow side.

But, I liked how the casual sex came across as ethical and not viewed as bad or sinful. Which is a more sane attitude that I think people should have.
