Framed, hunted, and forced off the grid, Danny Cortez has one shot at staying alive—become someone else entirely. But a fake name won’t hide him from Project Widow, a black-ops conspiracy so deep, even the CIA is expendable.
Armed with nothing but a burner phone, a kill list, and a trail of bodies, Danny races to expose the truth—before they silence him for good. With a senator missing, a journalist compromised, and every move tracked, Danny must outthink, outfight, and outlast an army of killers.
Because when you're marked as a national threat, survival isn't just personal—it's war.

The only reason this didn't receive a higher rating was the excessive, drawn-out descriptions that padded the narrative unnecessarily. I found myself skipping through large sections just to reach the core plot. This approach felt unlike L.T. Ryan's typical style. As a result, I don't plan to continue with Book 4.
Widow Protocol was nothing like the previous two books. The story was okay but the repetitive wording was becoming too much of the whole reading. The words were slightly changing but basically the same things being repeated. Every wave of water hitting the wall was mentioned. Every time a bird flew by, it was mentioned. Too many filler words that did not do anything for the point of the story. I will try the next book of this series because I have enjoyed the previous ones but if it is anything like Widow Protocol, this may be the last.
Slow and repetitive. Not as good as the first two. And a lot of inconsistency over details, like talking about an old woman at the reservoir, then not knowing where the old woman was. Plus, how many kids did Carlos have? Sometimes it was two, sometimes one. And then all the italic sects, which were numerous and confusing. Why were in italics? I did skip a lot because of all the repeated introspection. So, not his best but I’ll stick with the series.
This is a book that has continuous tension. As the story evolves and grows fuller so does the tension and suspense. Then it lets you down slowly as it fills you with something new, something true and purposeful. As unusual book with a storyline that could only belong to Danny Cortez. Awesome as always.
Between L.T. RYAN. AND Andre Cortez, there isn't time to breathe with all the action in this book. And I thought this was the last book in the series, but another one is coming in Jan. 2027. Gives the hero time rest and heal from his wounds before the next battle against corruption!
This book was very thought provoking but it had the usual excitement Danny Cortez books have. It was an excellent read very enjoyable. The reader will not be disappointed in the action and outcome. I am looking forward to thd next book in the series.
I liked the first two installments in this series. This one was a drag for the first 300 pages and finally had a decent finish. But every chapter till then was basically identical to the one prior. I love L. T. Ryan’s writing and will read book four but if the story line does not improve that will be it for the Danny Cortez series
I couldn't stop reading this book. The excitement was off the chart. L.T. 's books just keep getting better and better. You can't go wrong reading anything he's written.
I love L.T.Ryan books, but this one was the worst book I’ve read in years! So much sad boring depressing details, that you wanted to quit reading but also wanted to know the ending! Don’t waste your time! I almost gave up reading all together!
Excellent chapter in the Cortez story. Now he has no reason to panic and stay cornered. He took care of Calloway and Nadia is at his side. Start over give life a chance . 10 stars plus!!!! Thanks Carl Clause
My favorite Danny Cortez book by far. The way he tapped into the CPTSD psyche was so well done. I literally felt validated and I kept notes for the first time. His journey added dimension to a heartbreaking condition that plagues so many people. Thank you for this book!
Good characters and plot. Finally dawned on me that lead character, Danny is an analysis type and not a special force operator type and so the actions he takes are right in line with that.
