Happy pub day to this cutie! I had the opportunity to read this book early - which you know I was happy about because I have been obsessed with line between 2 worlds for over a year. 🗡️ so when I found out I could get my hands on this one, I jumped at the opportunity!
I loved line between 2 fates so much! It felt like coming home and seeing some of my favorite characters after way too long! I did cry on one scene of this story, book one made me sob multiple times. 🗡️❤️🩹 I can’t wait to see what else author @audreywebblibrary has in mind for this series! 🤍
I highly recommend you read book one and then this one.

The writing is excellent however the level of spice was sad to read especially from a Christian author. There is innuendo. I get it by the evil woman. But the mind still fills in the blanks. It’s just unnecessary you can show how wicked she is without it. If it was truelly a no spice book I would give it 5 stars. The story is beautifu, engaging. Well written. I just hated the fade to black scenes and the little bit of innuendo.

I have LOVED this series and reading Valarie and Theo’s story! There were a lot of twists I didn’t see coming, but also it took me on an emotional journey to see Theos story and what his life has looked like over the last 10 years. It was beautiful to see how Valarie handled everything thrown her way! I can’t wait to see what Audrey Webb writes next!

My thoughts:
This book starts off immediately where book 1 ended. I saw major improvement in the writing style and the flow of the story. The characters had so much more depth in this book which I appreciated. The trauma of book 1 created such an interesting dynamic in a few characters which I liked to see. I also liked getting to see a different side of Emmerson- and I felt excited for her story as the series continues.
This book made me question how far a person can go and still be redeemable as a character. Val was a whole other level of gracious, and wherever you land with your feelings- you will definitely feel something.
The surprise new POV was such an interesting approach that had a massive pay off. My jaw was on the ground with the reveals, I was mind blown. Those moments were clearly intentional and that made me excited for future books by this author.

Ten years later after Valarie came back to the modern world. Her son Leo is now 10 years old. She along with Ted and Leo (Ted and Valarie aren't engage anymore just friends) went back to the lake side where she had fallen years back. Her son Leo fell into the lake this time and both Valarie and Ted jumped inside! All three came back to the Medieval Times! Valarie mission is to find Leo father Theo because he isn't dead! But when Valarie see's Theo, he isn't himself anymore. He is the most dangerous assassin there now. The Reaper
This novel had so many surprises! We get more background story of Theo family and what happened to them. The story of King Cyrus (who is the king of Noxura's) and of his obsession toward Theo. So many questions were answered here and the intensity of the background of Cyrus is insane. Overall, I truly enjoyed the last novel. According to the author this series will be a 6 book series. The first two books are about Valarie so I am truly excited for the future upcoming books!

My thoughts 💭💭
You know that feeling when you want to gobble up a book so fast because it's too good. But then, you want to savor each page slowly, because you're scared of getting to that last page and saying goodbye to characters that have left their mark in your heart. That's the dilemma I faced while reading this amazing book.
Audrey definitely cast a spell with this sequel; her writing was so immersive and vivid that every read felt like a movie playing in my mind. That's how impactful her writing is.
This book was paced perfectly; there were no dragging scenes, only rising tension, intense and devastating moments, and twists that left me gobsmacked.
Somehow, my love for these characters doubled in this sequel. I loved their growth and depth so much, especially Emmerson; seeing her as a mother added a beautiful layer to her character.
I applauded the fact that Ted gets pulled into the parallel world. It added a nice dynamic to the characters' relationship.
I must write about Valarie and Theo😍. Their love story was achingly beautiful. The pull and tension between these two was so strong. The way Valarie continues to love and persevere in her belief that Theo is still worth fighting for made my heart full. I love these two so much; they gave me butterflies and made me smile the entire time. Their romance is just sweet.
This book is a mighty fine conclusion to Theo and Valarie's journey. My only qualm is that I wanted this book to just go on. I didn't want to say goodbye to the characters and the immersive world that Audrey created.
This duology is already available, so do well to add it to your TBR list. It's an amazing series, especially if you're a fan of the Outlander series, without the spice.

I received an advance reader copy of Line Between Two Fates by Audrey Webb in exchange for an honest review.
This romantasy sequel completely exceeded my expectations. I went in thinking I had a sense of where the story might go after the cliffhanger in book one, but I was wrong in the best way. The plot took unexpected turns that kept me fully engaged, and I loved how the author wove everything together. Elements from the first book came back in meaningful ways, making the story feel cohesive and intentional.
The pacing was strong throughout, never dragging but still giving space for the story to breathe. The characters were especially well done, both for returning characters and new additions. Each felt purposeful and added depth to the unfolding story.
One of the most compelling aspects for me was Valerie. Her unwavering faith in Theo and her determination to bring him back, even after he’s become something she never imagined he would, added an emotional core that kept me invested the entire time.
The twists were incredibly enjoyable and kept me guessing, which made it hard to put the book down.
Overall, I absolutely loved this book and would highly recommend it to fans of romantasy who enjoy unexpected plot developments, strong character arcs, and emotionally driven storytelling.

So many little hits I either didn’t see coming or was just starting to figure out when it was sprung on me. The ending 🤌🏻 seeing the healing in Theo ❤️. Was such a good book. Feel so honored to be able to do an ARC for it. I wouldn’t recommend it as a story for anyone younger the 16, just because some of the things that Theo goes through/does could potentially be hard for them depending on sensitivity level. But it’s well done and needed for the story line.

I love how Book 1 was Val finding herself. Book 2 was Theo finding his way back to himself. Val’s determination and love for Theo really shows in this book. There was also plot twists that had my jaw dropping! This book is a fade to black, no foul language, there is gore and blo0d.
The one issue I had was Cyrus’s younger years. There were mentions of sexual feelings, looks, and then knowing it happened. No explicit details. I just felt like he was too young to need to know those things. I also felt weird reading those parts. If those pieces were missing, this would have made the book even better.

I have to be SO honest - I was so upset after I finished book 1 and there wasn’t a second book out yet. When I was finally able to sit and read the second book, I was so excited with the results! I did feel that the beginning dragged on for a while, but once I hit like 40% through, I had such a hard time being able to put it down! I loved the different POVs, being able to understand some backstory of characters we hadn’t thought about. It was a great tie-in with the first book!! Maybe a little long, but it wrapped up stories well :)

Great book, it’s a little darker than the first with some heavy lore to go through, as well as present day physical and mental trauma. Great descriptive writing. Love the multiple POV.
Liked getting Cyrus’s POV as well….although I felt like we practically got more romance from Cyrus’s twisted backstory than between the main FMC & MMC?! (Or is that just me) - with that said, I loved Valerie’s determination to fight for the man she loves, and im pleased with how the story wraps up. Worth reading if you’ve started the duology!

Oh man, what a wild ride. I thought the first book was packed with adventure and twists and turns. This book was just as full and truly amazing.
What I love about Aubrey’s books are the adventures, the swooning and the overcoming spirit at all costs. The unconditional love theme intertwined with a dystopian society. If you’re looking for an amazing fantasy like adventure without the smut this is for you!! A must read!!

A worthy successor to book one, another enjoyable read with the added bonus of supporting an indie author 🙌🏼
I was actually a Beta reader for this book after enjoying Line Between Two Worlds, but picked it up after release to see the final product. The Beta copy was good, and the published novel is even better. I'm keen for book 3, I know who I want it to be about so fingers crossed 🤞🏻

I really looked forward to this book after the way things ended in book one but was a little disappointed with this entire book )): but did I still read it in 2 days— yes I did. I really liked the MMC last book but he became borderline unredeemable in this one. I felt as though we never got to see the MMC and FMCs relationship fully reconciled Sooo much death. Also a 10 year time jump between books is nuts

So good - loved it even more than the first! Beautiful writing. Well thought out storylines with surprises and twists revealed at perfect times! Just when I thought maybe something would drag, it would pick up and i’d be completely enraptured. The ending wrapped everything up well, which I love.
I loved Theo’s journey and the subtle mental health themes with it. And Valerie’s determination was admirable through the whole thing. And I appreciated how her relationship with Leo grew as the book continued and she healed from her past. Also, well written side characters that you grow to love! And some gut-wrenching moments as well.
Cyrus’ chapters were insightful and not too long that I got bored of them.

Words cannot explain how much I absolutely hated his book. Not only did the author kill basically everyone off, but they made you hate everyone, too. I don’t think I rooted for anyone other than Leo. If I could give this negative stars, I would, but I need some sort of review so I know never to read this again.

Let me say this, if you love yearning, morally grey MMCs, deliciously devious villains and fierce FMCs please please read this series! This was just the best sequel I have read in a while. Usually sequels just feel stagnant and boring but ugh it was like book one all over again. I won’t give too much away since this is book two but ughhhh I love Theo so much. Such a great character. And a special shout out to my mans Cyrus. I love you but I hate you! Iykyk

So, second installation of this duology is packed with twists and interesting new characters. At last, HEA. Personally, I found Emmerson and Cyrus (a little twisted in his mind) as the most impactful ones in this story. Kudos to the author! :)

I enjoyed the second book better than the first one! Her writing definitely improved so much! I did not want to put this book down when I first started reading it. So much details at the end and the shock of Theos parents….. left me speechless.
Can’t wait to see what Audrey Webb writes next!

this takes the cake. idk why this book caused me so much turmoil, but i loved it. first book ive REALLY enjoyed in awhile, and really impacted me in a long time. loved the world. the characters. the love. the plot twists. the redemption arc. the combat. the adventure. the suspense. well done audrey.

This book was actually quite entertaining, however was a little repetitive and slow and the major come back in the book felt a little rushed and easy. The characters were…fine but the main villain, the character development was just french KISSS, like girl I was eating IT UP, he was serving disturbed baddie 😝
What really brought the book rating up was the PLOT TWIST like when I tell you I was taken ABACKK to the point where a chiropractor was needed. Jaw was on da floor when the realisation hit.
But i mean the main character was a bit annoying, I didn’t really like her and was kind of annoyed when um something happened that I won’t spoil, like girl I was ready and then you were like SIKEEE. 😒
Overall book was okay last book was a lil messy, this one was better but the ending made it that way, although I will say there were a few plot points that were left just kind of sitting there and unexplored and they had so much more potential. But anyways the book was fine.

When I say I want dark fantasy, THIS is what I mean. The dark themes, the complex emotions, the ugly parts of reality. All of it. This one was much darker and more mature than the first book and I LOVED it.
The author does an excellent job at capturing the complexity of human emotions. The characters feelings are palpable. I felt like I was feeling their emotions as the reader. While the story and themes were dark, I felt like there was a good balance of other elements, like romance or humor, that kept it from being too dark or too political.
In the this book, we get two new POVs, which add a lot of depth and complexity to the plot. I loved also getting some backstory on certain characters. We get to see that villains are made, not born. I was able to empathize with the villain even though I didn’t agree with him.
Also, we have an FMC who is in her 30s and a mom!! Love to see that representation in fantasy. Valarie is so relatable as a character. There was also so much character growth and development in this book.
I absolutely devoured this book. I finished it the day I started it, and I haven’t done that in awhile. This is one of the best sequels I have read in a while! I devoured this book granted I tried to stall until the end just so I could hold off on finishing.
The story picked up in a good starting point. Being able to see how Valerie grows through her struggles of how her life has changed and seeing the emotional impact of what it’s like being a mother.
