⭐⭐⭐⭐ | A Tangled Web of Secrets!
If you are looking for a story packed with lies, deceit, and high-stakes drama, this is the ride for you. Kayaa pulls you into a whirlwind of confusion where no one’s heart is safe, and the secrets just keep piling up.

The character dynamics are what really make this "mess" so addictive:

*Huey is the ultimate standout—a no-nonsense man who knows how to put people in their place respectfully, all in the name of protecting the woman he loves.

*Then there’s Art, a selfish loser who truly believes he can have his cake and eat it too. His entitlement is infuriating in the best way possible.

*Jae serves as the heart of the story; she’s warm and naive, but her willingness to let the secrets continue keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Throw in Shane, the friend playing both sides of a love triangle, and Alexis, who adds her own flair to the mix, and you have a recipe for total chaos.

Between the unexpected pregnancy and the constant betrayals, I was hooked. Will Jae and Huey actually get their happy ending? I could tell you, but you honestly need to read this mess for yourself to find out!

I love when a sequel is just as good as the first👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾!!! I wanted to leave Alexis in the last book but she skated her way on over here🙄. The delusion in her Brain, Art too old to be thinking and moving how he is, and Shane…….If he was my brother I’d have to remove all the doorknobs and lightbulbs out his house or something cause who you feeling like?!😒🙄 Y’all go read it and come back and tell me☺️.

This is a MUST READ!!!

Kayaa got me again lol. Listen the further you get into this series the more the twists get to twisting, and the plot is always on point. Now I may or may not want to go upside a few folks heads in here but that's besides the point haha. I am patiently waiting for the next part because we need answers.

Huey... My Man, My Man, My Man.

Somewhere Between You Two: Huey was definitely a page turner. Huey is a true lover boy and definitely stood on business behind Jae, and I love that! I'm very much over Art and his foolishness, lol!

I definitely need Book 3 expeditiously.

sometimes we just gotta let go

Or actions have a reaction and I feel like art played his hand and caused some of this turmoil. Huey was a lover boy at the palm of Jade‘s hand, but the drama was just the right amount throughout this book with maybe Baby y’all know I love me, baby, but I feel like somebody in the background doing something that we don’t quite yet. Got the full story on it I feel like it’s a little piece of information being left out there. The book had me wanting more and more and more and more. It’s like watching your favorite show and waiting for next week’s episode must read.

come with the mess. i love it!

First things first, do not read Book 2 without reading Book 1. You need the full setup of Jae, Art, and Huey because this entanglement is layered and complicated from the start.

In Book 2 we get Huey’s POV, and the drama only gets deeper. Jae is clearly moving out of hurt and anger after Art’s poor decisions, and she’s not slowing down or looking back. Art made mistakes that may have been happening longer than we realized, while Huey is the patient lover boy who stepped in when the moment aligned.

This story honestly reads like a soap opera you can’t stop watching, messy, emotional, and addictive. I also have a feeling there’s more to Jae than we know, and somebody might be pulling strings behind the scenes.

Needless to say, I’m invested and waiting on Book 3. Highly recommend!

OKAYYYYYY HUEYYY!!!

This was a good read. Huey stood on business about his girl Jae. That ending had me though. So on to the next book. I can’t wait to see how everything unfolds.

There are times when the heart wants who it wants, making the eyes blind to what's in front of them-whether good or bad. That's the case for Art. He's so in love with his wife of 15 years, he forgot her threat to leave him if he disrespected or hurt her. Well he did that and she stood on business.
Finding out someone went behind your back and used your embryos for someone else's planned life is a steep form of betrayal. Especially after 3 miscarriages.
But Jae walked away from that life with no intention of going back and ran straight into the arms of a man who has been loving her since childhood.
All that happened in book one.
Now that she is carrying a baby of her own, pregnant from the man from her past, she has to navigate how to keep this baby and build a new life when the old was is still ever present. While dealing with the fact she has a daughter she didn't even know was hers.
This book comes full circle. From a husband finally understanding and coming to terms he has lost his wife and decided to move on with his own to him realizing he's still very much in love with Jae.
The big issue is...that childhood friend, who is now very much a man - a wealthy man at that- is not letting Jae go.
Huey has been in love. Now he has his dream life, the woman he loves, a baby on the way and a stepdaughter he instantly loves. Hes not letting any of it go. And he will build a compound of comfort to ensure she has a stress free pregnancy and life.
Until he cant. Huey is a crash out behind his family.
And something is coming to shake it up.
I love to hate the cliffhangers. Again, I feel the story keeps me so involved. But the grammatical errors cause pause making it not run smoothly for me. Fortunately I am not going to let that hinder my journey forward to book 3 when its released!

Somewhere Between You Two: Huey is a messy, emotionally charged read centered on Jae trying to navigate a complicated situation where her heart has already made a decision, even if everything around her hasn’t caught up yet. From the beginning, Huey is very much the emotional pull in her life, while everything else feels more like pressure, convenience, or obligation she’s trying to untangle herself from. The story really leans into that tension of wanting peace but being surrounded by chaos that keeps pulling her back in.

What makes this book so addictive is how personal and intense Huey is when it comes to Jae. He is decisive, emotionally present in his own way, and not afraid to make it clear where he stands, which creates a strong contrast with the outside noise trying to complicate things. A lot of the conflict comes less from a true love triangle and more from interference, misunderstandings, and people who are way too invested in a situation that isn’t theirs to control. Lexi especially had me side-eyeing the whole time, because the pick-me energy and forced positioning in places she didn’t belong just added fuel to the mess.

Overall, this was dramatic, addictive, and full of emotional turbulence from start to finish. It’s really about Jae finally stepping out of confusion and into clarity, even while everything around her is still loud and chaotic. If you like messy dynamics, possessive energy, and stories where the main character is slowly reclaiming her peace while everyone else is spiraling, this one will keep you locked in.

🚨 Public Service Announcement: We still don't like Art. That's all. Carry on.

Now that we've gotten that out of the way...

I absolutely loved finally getting to experience the story from Huey's perspective. If you thought you knew him in the first book... think again. Being inside his head added so much depth to his character, and let's just say he's officially earned a permanent spot on my book boyfriend list. A man who stands on business, protects the people he loves, respects his woman, and never leaves you questioning where you stand? Yeah... my man, my man.

One thing I appreciated most was that this didn't feel like a repetitive retelling. So many second books in a multi-POV series lose their spark because you already know what happened. Not this one. Every chapter added new layers, answered questions I didn't even realize I had, and completely changed how I viewed certain moments from the first book.

The emotional tension stayed high from beginning to end, and I found myself just as invested—if not more—than I was in the first installment. Kayaa did an incredible job making Huey's story feel fresh while continuing to build the overall series instead of simply replaying familiar scenes.

If the first book had you hooked, don't even hesitate with this one. Huey's perspective is exactly what this story needed, and now I'm even more ready to see how everything comes together.

And just one last time for the people in the back...

We. Still. Don't. Like. Art.

What a wild ride this was! Kayaa B. For sure knows how to grab her audience’s attention from beginning to the end! This is a continuation of her previous book, Somewhere Between You Two, based on Janine’s POV mainly. This time we’re seeing things mainly through Huey’s POV & things turn out to not be what I originally thought it was going to be. The twist & turns, the plot started thickening, & the ENDINGGGGGG ! 😩 I cannot wait to read this again on April 4th, 2026 because my goodness this was AMAZING ! Literally had me locked in from the beginning to the end. Absolutely amazing I loved it!

GAGGED! I read book 1 yesterday and was happy this book was already out cause I was stressed and now I’m stressed again. Why? Cause I have to wait on the next book 😫 Kayaa knows how to get a reader hooked. This book is so messy! While I want Art’s whole chest to hurt…cause he deserves it. Jae did annoy me when she started playin games with the kids. Huey…I knew he was a bit touched lol, and this book confirms it.THE CLIFF HANGERRRRRR! Oh my goodness! I need the next book!

This book is seriously my favorite so far! I feel like the drama kicked up a NOTCH while reading this! If you’d read book 1: Janine, you’re in for a real treat with Huey!!!

Janie begins to fall back into a “lost alignment” with Huey and the start to hit it off. Huey finally gets his moment, and when he does… he IS NOT letting it go. But how will this all work out in the end???

READ THE BOOKS!!!
