Bonded Veil was a definite 5-star read for me. I was hooked from early on in the story and genuinely cannot wait for the next book in the series.
The romance was especially well-paced. It wasn’t overly spicy, which worked well for the story, but it still felt intimate and emotionally engaging. The relationship develops through forced proximity with some initial animosity, and watching that shift over time made the connection feel natural and very satisfying.
Emotionally, this book felt like a gradual rollercoaster. It builds steadily, with moments that pull you in deeper and keep you invested in both the characters and their journey.
There were a few moments that felt slightly off in terms of structure, almost as if certain scenes had been shifted and didn’t fully blend into their new placement. It stood out just enough to notice, but not enough to take away from my overall enjoyment of the story.
And without giving anything away, I was absolutely not expecting the ending. The final chapter genuinely caught me off guard - in the best way - and left me needing the next book immediately. (I may have screamed out loud a little.)
Even with those small issues, the story, characters, and emotional payoff more than made up for it. This is the kind of book that keeps you engaged and leaves you wanting more by the end.
I’ll definitely be continuing this series and would love to see where these characters go next.
I received an advance review copy of this book and am sharing my honest thoughts voluntarily.
