The third and final book of the Durand Supernatural Academy Trilogy.
Being kicked out of Durand Supernatural Academy was supposed to keep Jackie safe.
It didn’t.
The rebels are closing in, witches are demanding answers, and the power growing inside her is becoming harder to control.
Meanwhile, Tate refuses to leave her side, Julian fears losing her, and Kyren is finally done pretending he doesn't want her. As secrets unravel and enemies strike, Jackie is forced back into the fight. But saving the people she loves may cost more than she's willing to pay.
Erin Bedford is an otaku, recovering coffee addict, and Legend of Zelda fanatic. Her brain is so full of stories that need to be told that she must get them out or explode into a million screaming chibis. Obsessed with fairy tales and bad boys, she hasn’t found a story she can’t twist to match her deviant mind full of innuendos, snarky humor, and dream guys.
On the outside, she’s a work from home mom and bookbinger. One the inside, she’s a thirteen-year-old boy screaming to get out and tell you the pervy joke they found online. As an ex-computer programmer, she dreams of one day combining her love for writing and college credits to make the ultimate video game!
Until then, when she’s not writing, Erin is devouring as many books as possible on her quest to have the biggest book gut of all time. She’s written over thirty books, ranging from paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and even scifi romance.
Also, third person is really weird when writing about yourself. Just putting that out there.
2.5 ⭐️ Though I thought this was a decent end to the story I felt like everything was so rushed, including the editing. The author managed to cram the entire ending in under 300 pages…. I really loved these characters, book 1 + 2 got high ratings from me. I felt like the romance was fun, the vibes were good, I wasn’t expecting a masterpiece of plot or writing, I was here for the vibes. But even with that said, there were so many typos and missing words in this, the editing was obviously so rushed through and I felt like so was the story/writing in general. It had potentional to be better. We don’t get much resolution between the relationships between the 3 guys and our fmc. Some of them getting together was again just so rushed and not thought out well. The last chapter just like abruptly ended and then it was a the end.. For a book that was mostly romance and smut with the subplot of the overarching mystery and plot, the end left much to be desired with the romance of it all. No love declarations, just some half done apologies and makeup sex??! I don’t know, I was just really disappointed with the rush job done on the end of this series. It could’ve been really good
This was great except for the weirdest book ending I have come across so far. It is definitely… a choice?
While a lot of the plot gets wrapped up here, there are some parts that have been left open for other spin offs. The relationships between Jack and the guys definitely seems to be in a much better place. You can feel the love that she has for them and vice versa. I do wish we had some sort of love declaration but we do get some small apologies so I guess that’s great for us?
We learn who the rebels are and what happens following their discoveries. We never really know what the actual reason is besides they hate rules and one of them has their business affected (seems like some weird supernatural mafia type thing but who even knows).
The book ends part way through a family dinner. Very unsatisfying. No epilogue, no after the dinner. We just get a very sudden ending and that’s that. If the end was better I would have rated it higher because I did love the characters and the storyline but the end was so strange it made me rate this a bit lower.
Bond of a Vampire is the third and final book in the Durrand Supernatural Academy series. WOW... So, much action and and heated spicy scenes... I loved it. Miss Bedford didn't disappoint. I was pulled in quickly into the Durrand world with the FMC having be saved and protected even though she is strong it's ok to ask for help. The FMC Jack is extremely feisty specially when it comes to her life and she doesn't like to be put in the corner even when it's for her own good and protection. She likes to be where the action is at all times. The MMC's are super protective and would rather have the FMC stay out of danger... As one of the MMC's quotes "I don't want to loose you." Such feelings in those six little words with such a strong meaning. So if you love Shadow Daddies, Protective Werewolves, Protective Vampire Parents, A Feisty FMC and Hot and Spicy scenes then you should read Bond of a Vampire. But I highly recommend that you start with the first book in the series and also read The House of Durrand series as they are connected.
As an ARC reader, I was eager to sink my teeth into Bond of a Vampire, and Erin Bedford delivers a dark, romantic, and suspenseful story that keeps you hooked from start to finish. Bedford’s writing draws you straight into a world where passion, danger, and the supernatural collide in thrilling ways.
The romance between the vampire and their love interest is intense, layered, and filled with sparks—both emotional and literal. Bedford does a fantastic job of balancing the heat of their connection with tension-filled stakes that kept me on the edge of my seat. The story also weaves in a gripping plot with secrets, rivalries, and high-stakes challenges that deepen the intrigue.
The characters are complex and compelling, with motivations that feel real and relatable despite the supernatural setting. While I would have loved a little more world-building in some areas, the story’s fast pace, suspenseful twists, and emotional depth more than make up for it.
Book 3 of Durand Supernatural Academy. For maximum enjoyment read the books in series order.
'Because this time? Love isn’t just a weakness. It’s a weapon. And Jackie is about to learn exactly what it costs to use it.'
The characters were very appealing and complex and compelling and complicated and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and intense and exciting and well paced. World building continues to excel and impress. All in all a satisfying conclusion to the series. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

I love it when an author writes another series in the same world as another, you get tid-bits of the other series characters whilst exploring some new ones. I loved Jacs dynamic with her mum and dad’s just hilarious ! I liked that her relationships developed a bit differently and that they weren’t quite as strong as she’s still a bit younger. Great storyline that I sped through even though I did guess who was behind and threatening notes at Jacs school. Would definitely recommend this series to a vampire romance lover x
I've really enjoyed Jack and her guys, I still loved all the banter with her mom and dads too. I know other things are coming in the Durand world, but I really hope theres gonna be more about Jack, and the guys. So many thing I want to know. I can't wait to read whatever comes next, I love this world!
This story is full of drama, and action and spice as Jack and her men must deal with everything going in in the story. It felt rushed in a few spots but overall it was a good read. Had to see what Jack would end up doing. Enjoyed seeing more of the boys too. Learn a lot in this one but not everything so hope there are more books in this universe.
I need more of this please! I want to see more of the relationship between the main characters, I need it! I’ll admit, I’m an addict now😂 to be able to see the characters’ developments was a pleasure and I feel like I could easily read another 10 books of this!!
This is the third and final book in the Durand Supernatural Academy series. I love the Durand world and it was fun watching Jack find her guys. The banter between the parents was hilarious. The story had action, drama and spice. I look forward to the next book in this world.
Durand Supernatural Academy comes to a close with a bang here. I have enjoyed all of the Durand books and liked the buildup in this series. I recommend it to anyone but especially if you’re a fan of the originals.

This conclusion to the series brings danger, drama, angst and betrayal mixed with some sexy times between Jack, Tate, Kyren and Julian. Entertaining from beginning to end.
Oh my fluff, I love Jackie, and wow, she’s in for quite a ride in this book! There’s so much happening, and I’m really enjoying the shift in dynamics. It’s such an engaging and thrilling read!
Perfect way to end the series. Loved the angst, drama and violence with spicy vibes. Loved the why choose aspect of the series and how they all complimented each other. Great vibes, lots of spice and drama. Can’t wait for Erin’s next book
