Andy's Bravo Scrapbook: Twenty Years Behind the Scenes of the Real Housewives and the Bravoverse

Rate this book
From Emmy Award–winning host, executive producer, and New York Times bestselling author Andy Cohen comes a gorgeously illustrated, behind-the-scenes look back at twenty years of Bravo reunions and headline-making moments, featuring hilarious recollections and 600+ photos from Andy’s personal archive.

Before Bravolebrities and BravoCon, there was simply Andy Cohen, some fabulous women living in Orange County, and a camera crew. From there, the Real Housewives franchise was born, incredible spinoffs like Vanderpump Rules came to be, and competition shows like Top Chef and Project Runway went on to become the blueprint for all reality TV to come. Cohen has seen it all as he shepherded the network to “much watch” success, snapping pictures the entire time—originally from his digital camera, then a BlackBerry, and finally from every model of iPhone ever. Cohen’s personal scrapbook of reality TV history is on display for fans for the first time.

The Real Housewives franchises are featured—Beverly Hills, Orange County, Salt Lake City, Potomac, New Jersey, Miami, Atlanta, New York City, DC, Dubai, Dallas—along with fan favorites like Southern Charm, Married to Medicine, Summer House, Vanderpump Rules, and Shahs of Sunset. This incredible book filled with over 600 exclusive images and never-before-told stories is a true ode to the network that built Cohen’s career, and countless others.

A must buy for the Bravo fan in your life!

ANDY’S BRAVO SCRAPBOOK is a coffee table book full of photos, quotes and behind the scenes scoop about the Real Housewives reunion shows. While the focus is mainly on the franchises still currently airing, Miami (R.I.P.!) is also featured along with some mentions of other popular Bravo shows like Vanderpump Rules, Top Chef, and Shahs of Sunset. In the 20 some years Andy has been working on camera for Bravo, he’s taken a lot of personal photos at the reunions as well as at various parties with Bravo talent which are included in this collection.

For the Real Housewives superfans this book is a nice trip down memory lane. Each reunion gets a two page spread with a photo or two, quotes, a list of cast members, and a brief thought from Andy about the filming or an opinion about a housewife.

I had fun flipping thru this 300+ page book over the course of an evening. I liked revisiting those early years when the cast showed up to the reunions looking like normal people and we hadn’t hit the eye roll worthy glam squad era yet. More relatable and less staged back in those days. I will say this collection isn’t full of brand new info as Andy throughout the years has shared many of his thoughts on the housewives and filming and all that.

Still though it makes for a good gift idea for fans of Real Housewives and Bravo.
