This issue is bonkers! Shredder is in Japan and has a run in that turns into some Resident Evil style body horror. Love the direction that this issue took. Kotian's artwork is really good in this one.

This title is inching closer and closer to being the first one cut from my pulls. The start of a new arc should be fresh and exciting... this one is just reminding me more and more of what this title lacks. Agent Avon is reduced to a background character here, where she checks in with another clichéd private contractor type. She's been the most interesting character in this story so far, and I can already see the plot getting away from her.
The story shifts to Japan where we meet some technologically enhanced thugs that don't impress me in the slightest. Shredder shows up in probably my favorite look for him so far, the simple black suit with the Hannibal Lecter type mask and the wrist blades. He makes the thugs look like complete asshats, which makes me wonder why he'd even consider recruiting them to rebuild his army in the first place.
Next we get the horror movie aspect that this seems to want to turn into, where we find there's a virus downloaded into the technological enhancements the thugs have on their bodies, and it's illustrated by one poor sap who meets an extra gory demise. Last, we meet the latest villain pulling the strings, and he's a young tech bro. Just what we all need, another one of these dipshits being behind everything. Maybe it'll make it worth it when Shredder guts his arrogant ass.

Damn good
This series rocks out so hard. Shredder is an absolute beast. I can't help but to root for him. So cool!
