I was lucky enough to get an arc of this book. Emily does new adult books so well. The story is about a girl who falls for a guy she doesn’t think she should. Lots of self mind games to mislead their hearts on why they shouldn’t be together. A few comedy pieces in there too that made me laugh. Emily’s writing gets better with every book she writes. She’s an auto buy author for me.

Fade to black for spice

This follows Olivia and Brecken as they both navigate how to make this new found friendship between them work with benefits. Both in collage and juggling the balance of that.

Olivia is coming out of a break-up with Carter. A relationship of three years. But she begins to realize how much she did and changed just to be with Carter. She doesn’t like this as she’s realizing that Carter didn’t accept her for who she was. She slowly begins changing things.

Brecken is single after his ex cheated on him with his best friend and all of this happened while he lost his mom. He’s given a hard time for being a playboy because he doesn’t do relationships since Brianna. He hasn’t even told anyone I love you since her, not even family. He’s fighting to be best man in his brother’s wedding. Caitlyn his soon to be sister in law just so happens to be best friends with his ex Brianna and Olivia which complicates this a lot more once Brecken and Olivia cross that line.

This is a slow burn in terms of them getting together and admitting feelings for each. I wouldn’t say miscommunication trope, but they both catch feelings for each other and assume things vs having a conversation. So it’s both of them assuming the worst and not speaking or having a conversation. With the collage setting I would’ve liked to see them have a conversation sooner than they did. Overall this is an enjoyable read that I enjoyed. You also get a different taste of Emily’s writing within Blurred Lines.

This was another great read by this author. There are not a lot of slow burns or closed door romances that can hook me like hers can. The fun banter and drama keeps going throughout the entire book. Breken and Olivia are acquaintances that end up in each other's lives more than they were expecting. Olivia's ex happens to be the brother of one of her best friends that is getting married soon. Breken is a brother of the groom to be. Since Olivia and her boyfriend broke up right before the engagement party, she decided to go by herself and breaks down on the side of the road. She's then "rescued" by the player that doesn't do relationships. The party is awkward for both of them so they end up hanging out together and end up leaving together. Olivia decides she's going to focus on her and what she wants instead of who she pretended to be for her ex. Olivia and Breken end up spending more time together, a month later her ex wants her back. Both Olivia and Breken have to be truthful about what they want to see if it's the same thing. Add that everyone thinks he uses every girl he talks to, will her friends support her?

Blurred Lines was an enjoyable, fast-paced contemporary romance that hooks you right from the start.

The story follows Olivia, who’s life gets completely turned upside down when her boyfriend of 3 years, suddenly dumps her right before his sister’s engagement party.
To make things more complicated, his sister, Caitlyn, happens to be Olivia's best friend, making the party impossible to avoid. Here comes Brecken. He is the youngest of three brothers who is constantly viewed as the family screw up.
When Brecken and Olivia cross paths, they strike up a mutually beneficial "friends-with-benefits" arrangement to help Olivia through her heartbreak. As their arrangement continues, emotions deepen, boundaries get messy, and the lines between fake and real begin to blur.

Overall, Blurred Lines is a delightfully entertaining, light, and engaging romance. It’s perfect for readers who love a good "accidental romance" setup filled with emotional tension and great chemistry. It’s a very solid, positive read that will leave a smile on your face!

This was a sweet and cute YA romance. Not typically a genre I'd choose to read but it seemed quick so as to not have a lot of fluff to weed through. That's just what it was, a cute, straight to the point romance. There were a few instances that irritated me but remindied myself of the genre and age of the characters, it was very well probably something I did at that age. *Were we that irritating lol?* I do like the author's writing style and how each character was relatable. I could see younger me in a situationship lol. There are a few areas I wish could have had a few more details and at times I wasn't quite clear how much time had passed in the story but outside of that a very cute and fun read!

*I received an ARC copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I received this book as part of an ARC team. Emily does it again !! The FMC is Olivia the story starts when she's on her Way to her friends engagement party and breaks down. she can't call her friends brother because he literally just broke up with her after 3 years. she can't miss the party and it's pouring. but just like a friend Caitlin calls and asks how come her brother is there and she isnt or why they didn't drive together. they end up sending someone to help her and help her he sure did. I cheered for them through the whole story. I loved it kind of want more to the story. but it was captivating.

I received Blurred Lines by Emily Camp as an ARC. This book is up for release on May 16! This was a college romance/sports book. This was another amazing read by Emily who I’ve read all of her books by now. She never misses with any of them. Imagine being in a college while tying to balance not only your classes but sometimes messy relationships as well. This turned out to be a sweet and meaningful book. I wanted to cray times but there were many laughs along the way.

Absolutely devoured this book! Brecken may have a bad track record, but when given a chance with the right girl, he can completely change. Lines are blurred, but can they overcome it all?

I love how Olivia just like him for him and didnt treat or see him the ways others did. I love the ending really great story.
