Kaelar and Dr. Lila Marks find themselves going to the planet of Aelaria, Kaelar's home planet. She discovers that they are rigid in their thinking and feel that the bond between them is not valid since she is not a full Aelarian. They face danger from the council as well as his brothers. What makes it confusing is that his mother, head of the council, is anything but neutral while his father is helping them. Can it get any more confusing? But danger is never too far away and bodily harm is high up on the scale.
To the reader it will feel like hitting the pavement and running without stopping. The psychology of a planet vs the psychology of two bonded people bang heads and the reverberations hit the reader like a sledge hammer.
A fantastic story to read.

Forbidden Alien: Bound To The Stars by B. A. Star is an electrifying blend of romance, sci-fi, and high-stakes drama that completely pulls you into its universe. From the moment Lila steps onto Kaelar’s world, the story expands into something breathtaking, rich with culture, tension, and emotional depth. The connection between Lila and Kaelar is intense, beautifully written, and impossible to ignore. Their bond goes far beyond attraction, it feels destined, powerful, and transformative in a way that raises the stakes with every chapter. The “forbidden love” trope is executed flawlessly, layered with political intrigue and the weight of ancient traditions that threaten to tear them apart. What makes this installment stand out is its balance between passion and danger. The world-building is immersive, the action sequences are gripping, and the emotional tension keeps you hooked from start to finish. You can truly feel what’s at risk, not just for the couple, but for entire worlds.

I found this book to be a captivating read and quickly became invested in the characters. Although at first glance this appears to be an alien sci-fi romance, it also could be a statement on governance by fear.

I had not read the prior books in the series but was able to catch up fairly quickly. I actually plan to read them now before the next one comes out.

The way that Kaelar’s planet treats Lila is comparable to the way some residents have been treated over history. When someone is different it is easy to fear them.

There are many powerful scenes in the book and Lila is truly a strong female role model. Their bond is a link to so much.
