U-Turn: Bayou Dogs MC Book 2
Greer
Despite living away most of my life, the bayou's calling me home. That’s when I meet Jude Clairmont—at a red light, of all places. Former Army medic. Current prospect for the Bayou Dogs MC. I’ve spent my whole life coming and going from this town, yet somehow, it’s only now that our paths collide.
He’s controlling.
Possessive.
Jealous.
A walking red flag if there ever was one.
But doesn’t red mean go when he has ink and a Harley?
—
Jude
What was I supposed to do when she drove off? Let her go?
Not a chance.
Every instinct in me said follow. Claim.
So I did.
I chased the town’s new nurse down the interstate with one word echoing in my head—
Mine.

Can’t wait for Delia and Abram story. Even though I don’t like reading about virgins and Manwhores. Hopefully Abram whorish ways have been exaggerated and has been celibate since meeting Delia. Also can’t wait for Flinch and Allie story.

Give me a possessive and obsessive man and well I will be here for it every time. EVERY TIME.
This was hot and fun to read and both MCs were just super well developed.

How can an MC book be this cozy?!
I absolutely flew through U-Turn by Annelise Devereaux. This is the second book in the Bayou Dogs series, following Greer and Jude from their meet-cute to their ridiculously adorable relationship.
You know those videos online where the hot biker gives a girl a smoldering look at a stoplight and can’t help but chase her down? This is their story.
I absolutely loved the world-building in this book. I’m a Colorado mountain girl through and through, but this story made me fall in love with the Louisiana bayous. The rich history, the sense of community, and the people themselves are what made this such a cozy read for me.
That doesn’t mean there isn’t any angst, but it felt so much more grounded and real than books that are packed with nonstop MC drama just for the sake of it. Jude was completely obsessed with Greer from the very beginning. He saw what he wanted and never once stopped pursuing her, and I ate it up.
I also loved that Greer had those very human moments of asking herself, “Am I crazy for following Jude down this road so fast?” It added a layer of realism that made their relationship feel even more believable.
The way Jude and Greer loved each other was everything, and now I’m already chomping at the bit to see who else in this series gets a book. I can’t recommend this one enough!

Beta/ARC Reader Review
I continue to praise, Annelisa Devereaux! She has once again brought us a high yielding romance between Greer and Jude. We got introduced to Jude in first book of the Bayou Dogs MC series, Free Fall.
Jude takes one look at Greer and decides that she is his and chases after when she drives away. Greer is a nurse trying to live her own life and struggles Type 1 Diabetes who has no time for a man but that will not deter Jude who is bound and determined to care for her bossing is way right into her life. If you love OTTP men but still have a heart of gold. Look no further than the men of Bayou Dogs MC

Loved this story! 🔥
Greer has TD1 and it was written into the storyline so well, loved Jude and his total acceptance of Greer's healthcare needs. I also loved how totally gone he was for Greer and of course the need to br33d and procreate was OTT in the best way! I can't wait until this book gets to audible, like Free Falling. I love this series and can't wait for Delia and Abram's (Mudbug) story. I also hope we get more of Flinch and Allie, hopefully she'll have a baby bump to match her cousin's either in the next storyline or maybe their own novella.

What I Loved
Jude Clairmont is exactly the kind of romance hero I fall for. He is completely, unapologetically obsessed with Greer from the moment he sees her and somehow manages to make it feel romantic instead of ridiculous.
What really sold me wasn’t the possessiveness or the dirty talk—it was the care. This man learned how to operate an insulin pump. He memorized carb counts. He carried emergency supplies. He paid attention to every detail of Greer’s diabetes without ever treating her like she was fragile.
Greer was the perfect match for him. She doesn’t simply accept everything Jude says because she’s attracted to him. She pushes back when she disagrees, questions his choices, and maintains her independence throughout the relationship. Their dynamic felt balanced, even when Jude was operating at maximum intensity.
The Louisiana setting was another highlight. The Cajun culture, food, family traditions, and bayou atmosphere made the entire story feel authentic and lived in. It added so much charm and personality to the book.
And then there’s Hank.
Every book should have a diabetic French bulldog.
What Didn’t Work for Me
There were a few storylines that clearly continue into future books, so some conflicts aren’t fully resolved here. Personally, it didn’t impact my enjoyment because I’m already invested in where the series is headed.
Favorite Moment
Jude standing up to Greer’s father.
Greer’s parents have spent years worrying about her health and treating her like she’s breakable. Watching Jude calmly explain how capable she is—and all the ways he actively supports her—was one of the most romantic moments in the entire book.
Protective is nice.
Respectful and supportive is better.
Final Thoughts
This book delivered exactly what I wanted: an obsessive hero with a soft center, a heroine who never loses herself in the relationship, plenty of chemistry, and a romance built on genuine care.
Jude may be completely unhinged, but every grand gesture is backed by love, attention, and devotion. That’s what made him work for me.
Also, if a man looked at me once and immediately started researching my medical equipment, planning our future, and adopting my dog as his son… I’d probably be done for too.

Disability rep ( FMC has type 1 diabetes - and her dog does too)
🌟Military vet and military brat
🌟Medic and a Nurse
🌟found family with MC and small town
🌟no cheating / OW drama or 3rd act breakup
Jude (MMC) sees Greer (FMC) at a red light and does an immediate U-turn to follow her and get her info. He knows she’s his, and there’s no changing his mind.
Jude understands boundaries tho-
“If this is Greer’s home, it’s our home, just like Hank is now ours. Same goes for anything that’s mine. Except my bike. Some boundaries are important in any relationship”
And Greer knows Jude comes with red flags, this is after he finds her socials and comments on every post!
“It’s by far the fastest I’ve ever seen red flags flying around a man. Normally, they would make me run for the hills. On Jude, it’s sexy and makes me want to put on blinders. Red means go when he’s got ink and a Harley, right?”
As always with this author, expect humor, great banter, family drama, a HEA, and lots of k!nky fun. I love how this author writes the pets in her books, you can tell how much she loves them and gives them so much personality.
This is a MC lite book- where the MC is morally grey while also protecting the town and innocents. This is second in the Bayou dogs series, it can be read as a standalone but I do recommend reading Odin and Darcy’s story too!

I LOVE this author, but this one just didn't hold my interest like the previous books have. It felt like the whole story was focused on other things, besides the couple. In the last book, there seemed to be side stories going on, and I was really interested to see what came of those couples, so was surprised when I got to the epilogue and it was a heroine we hadn't met, and a Hero we barely saw. The same thing happened in this book. There was a whole other story going on in the background with the cousin, so yet again, the epilogue floored me to see that it was another Hero who I don't think was even mentioned once during this book, and a heroine who was more prevalent in the first book. There was also the storyline of the Hero's sister's family, which felt like it came out of nowhere, and got way too much time on-page. And finally, the diabetes. I'm glad there is some representation for common medical issues in books now, but it almost felt like a third main character. I didn't need it to take a back seat, especially as the author has a real life connection to it, but I feel like I got more info on the T1DM than I did on the couple. Overall, they whole thing just didn't pull me in like other books have. I will still continue the series though, as I think little sister in book 3 is going to be a banger.

I have been following this author since her first novel. Each time I think the next won't be better than the last. But each time she outdoes herself. Her books have honestly become my comfort reads. I know I will find a OTT MMC who would never cheat, who is dedicated from day one and always a little bit of pregnancy/ baby thrown in. This one is no different. I LOVED that from the first minute of seeing our FMC the MMC was like "she's mine" and he was determined, but he gave her just enough space for her to think that she actually had more space than she really had lol. But at the same time, he was so caring. He educated himself on her needs and her medical issue. The MFC was strong but not overly so. She was sweet and independent, and she pushed back against the MMC without being too much. I would recommend this book and honestly every book this author has read to anyone who is looking for a love story that will make you laugh and swoon. This was an awesome read and I can't wait for the next!.

I adored Jude and Greer's story so I'm going to try and do this amazing couple justice! Greer is such a sweetie! She has worked hard towards her career and she is ready to make the leap to live on her own. Her family is a little out there and that just elevated the story even more! The Bayou Dogs are so much fun; the family feel, the shared history, I wish I knew them in real life. Confession time: my favorite main characters are the ones with illnesses, conditions, disabilities, etc. That said, this is the best representation of type 1 diabetes that I have ever read! How they meet, I could have swooned. He is hooked, smitten, obsessed. He knows she is it for him and sets out to show her how he will cherish her every single day. Another confession, I wouldn't have held out as long as Greer did (she didn't last long, not really). The heat, the sweetness, the dash of suspense, all combined into a phenomenal romance read!

Safe MC books are my crack! I know instalove is not everybody’s jam, but it sure is mine! Who doesn’t love a man who sees what he wants and goes after it relentlessly?? Is it realistic, no. Do I read books for the realism. Also no 😆. I love dreaming away in this world Annelise has built. These MC men are scrumptious! Super protective, possessive, jealous and sexy as sin. And the women! So strong and independent. I love this dynamic. The chemistry between Jude and Greer was off the charts and the spice scorching because of it. We get some action and a wonderful found family. I’m here for all of it. Can’t wait for the next book!!
Safety:

- OM: OM is into h and tried to kiss her in the past. He helps h move and H is not happy about that. OM gets dealt with. H is basically jealous of any man that breathes near h.
- No cheating
- No separation / no third act break up
- Deals with type 1 diabetes

I had SO much fun with Greer and Jude! Having met them both in the previous book, I wasn’t exactly sure how their story would play out. Well. Let me tell you. This is instant, she’s my only one forever, fast paced, kind of crazy obsessive love. I was so into it. The spice was supremely spicing. My goodness these two are a hot couple. More than that though, Jude and Greer have some serious depth to them. Jude being a multiple tour combat vet medic prospecting with the MC and Greer, a nurse and type-1 diabetic with some bite to her. She makes it clear: she doesn’t need Jude but she WANTS him. Is Jude normal within society’s standard? Nope. Defiantly not. Did he immediately commit when he found her and never wavered in his choice? HELL YES. I am so into this new series and it I think I liked this one even more than the first.

I loved Jude and Greer's story. So so good! I have read the other novel in this series and really enjoyed it. I was excited to jump back into this series and this novel did not let me down. From the first chapter I was sucked back into this series. So good! I loved Jude's character and how he knew right away that Greer was going to be his girl. I loved how obsessed he was about her and learned everything he could about her diabetes and was prepared for any kind of emergency for her. I loved Greer too! I loved how spunky she was and how she was not afraid to stand up for herself. The chemistry between them was so good! I loved the dialogue and banter. Once I started reading I couldn't put this novel down. Even if it meant staying up most of the night to finish.
so worth losing sleep over. Love it! I can hardly wait to see what this author has coming next. So so good!

Absolutely fantastic read! All the characters were so well developed with goals, flaws, and quirks. I adore Jude and his completely OTT possessiveness! Greer is one tough cookie putting up with his brand of crazy and managing her own life. I love the type 1 diabetes rep!
Loved the glimpses of Darcy and Odin. The wedding cake sample delivery in the beginning absolutely tickled me! Then, we got the adorable meet cute between Greer and Jude. Ahhhh…I love them so much.
I hope we get more from Allie and Flinch. It seems like he’s also OTT possessive and I am HERE for it!
Loving this series so far! I need more! I love this author!.

This is the second installment in The Bayou Dogs MC Series and it just keeps getting better with each book. In this book we meet Jude and Greer. From the moment jude saw Greer for the first time it was game over. She was his, no question. I did like the fact that she didn't put up too much of a fight. The chemistry between Jude & Greer is evident right from the start and it pulls you head first into their journey. Greer has a medical condition but Jude doesn't give it a second thought. He is there for her and will do anything for her. I loved every second of Jude and Greer's story and was truly sad to see it end. A fantastic read.

Jude & Greer
These guys from Bayou Dogs MC are really no joke! They see their “one” and that’s it. Game over. They fell for each other at a red light. Of course, Greer tried to fight her feelings, but Jude is relentless. I love these bossy, over protective men! The way Jude slipped right into taking care of Greer and helping to manage her diabetes, was just so natural. Taking care of her in every way is definitely his love language. It’s no wonder she fell head over heels so quickly. I love this couple and the way they interact with each other - through some pretty big stuff within a short time of being together. Such a good book. I know I’ll be reading it again!

I absolutely loved this book! This is the second book in the Bayou Dogs MC series, and it is amazing! Annelise Devereaux writes the best MMC's, and I am here for all of them.
This book follows Greer and Jude, and what a ride it was. Greer delivered cake samples to Darcy, and when she left she met Jude. Jude, road name is Band-Aid, starts as a prospect for the MC, follows her until she pulls over. That's a very vague way of telling their meet cute, but I don't want to give too much away. Jude is really supportive of Greer and Hank's medical condition, and does everything he can to make life easier for her. He is literally the perfect guy.
Greer is just moving back to town when she meets Jude. I love that she didn't fight Judes claiming too hard. As you will find out, once a member of the Bayou Dogs MC claims you, you're claimed for life.
I 100% recommend this book, and any other book written by this amazingly talented author. I will definitely be re-reading this in the very near future.

She seemed pathetic and desperate and gave no resistance. She does mot seem smart enough to be a nurse. She would say lets slow down but than do nothing. There is no way she is that dumb to not recognize the baby and mom were being abused it was beyond obvious. I find it extremely hard to believe as a nurse she would not be smarter at recognizing abuse. How did she not recognize what was going on with her cousin her supposedly best friend.

Such a great continuation to the bayou dogs series
I really enjoyed meeting Jude and greer! It was so good how Jude was obsessed with greer from that first moment and didn't stop being obsessed with her for one second! As strong stubborn and independent as greer was she could not resist Judes charms and watching them fall in love was so great... of course there was also some fun suspense and drama thrown in but the spice was on fire and I cannot wait to read what comes next!

I love Jude. I LOVE HIM. A MC hero who isn't a calloused manhoe but also isn't without edge and teeth. He sees Greer and immediately pursues her, which is so typical of a cocky MMC, but you quickly see his depth of emotion and character. Greer, the MFC, was working hard to establish herself and her independence, and I loved how supportive Jude was of her and her medical condition. The banter and chemistry was a delight to read, and I will definitely be rereading this soon!

2.75⭐️ Not that I completely disliked this book but some aspects of it just didn’t do it for me. I think that there were 3 main characters in this story, Jude, Greer, and Diabetes. It was so focused on the illness that it took me out of the story. I really wished there was more of the MC featured in the narrative. I enjoyed book 1 and this author’s writing style so hopefully the next book in the series is better.

Awesome !!! Loved it!
I inhaled this book! So so good. We all need a Jude in our life. Loved how it was like destiny all the little signs they were meant to be together and great representation of Greer’s chronic illness !!! Can hardly wait for Delia and Mudbug’s book, And holy heck where did Sully come from! His book needs to be soon too. Enjoyed book immensely!

Love reading Jude and Greer story. I love the intensity Jude has of loving and getting what he wants.he was so sure of himself. Greer didn’t stand a chance of not loving Jude. Love reading their story and I’m so looking forward to more of this MC men!

Soo good. Especially with all the side characters. Definitely makes you want to read their books next! Definitely need an Allie novella at least. But definitely want to see mudblood next!

cute
It was a cute story. Kind of got a little short one because of her cousin too. But I can’t wait for the next one! I like the clips of Darcy’s sister. I was just waiting for her to want her freedom !!

I loved this book! Greer and Jude were great together. Meeting at a red light of all places. Greer the towns new nurse a Jude a prospect. Greer was never meant to settle down. Jude hoped to change that.
