I cannot recommend this book enough to romcom lovers who also love a little bit of suspense. Without spoilers, this was the perfect mix of a fake marriage romance with emotional stakes, a crazy ex, and a protective but teddy bear love interest.

I also absolutely adored following not just the plot but also the growth of Emmy and Landon. The connection and the chemistry between these two characters had me kicking my feet and giggling from the start. Their chemistry just felt so natural and I really loved that. From the small actions like knowing her coffee order to the protectiveness, I just fell in love with Landon’s character. Plus I’m a sucker for a billionaire single dad trope. Emmy on the other hand was just so relatable. Despite being a shorter book, I immediately felt her anxiety, her second guessing nature but I also felt her bravery and the moments where she grew into the character that became equally as special as Landon.

if I’m being honest, I flew through this book and couldn’t put it down. Usually I suck at visualising the books I’m reading but this entire book I felt like I was watching a movie unfold.

If you’re after a story that has a bit of everything; banter, love, angst, mystery, couple therapy sessions, bit of spice plus more - look no further! 👀

We follow Landon and Emmy who meet on a plane, fake a marriage and attend therapy to attempt to prove said fake marriage in order to try and access Landon’s inheritance early.

I absolutely loved following not just their story, but also the connection that grew over time. It was clear from the beginning that Landon was going to be protective, loyal and stubborn. Emmy, whilst agreeing to the fake marriage because she needed the money, was just as loyal and feisty when she needed to be!

Throw in an obsessed and somewhat unstable ex, and a scary Grandma who forces them to go to couples therapy to prove their relationship is real in order for Landon to receive his inheritance early, and it all makes for one fun, addictive and fast read! I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it!

I have enjoyed every one of A.M. Nelson’s stories so far, and A Billion Reasons To Stay was no exception.
Highly recommend for when you need something a little fun in between other reads 👩‍🏫

A Billion Reasons to Stay by A.M Nelson is such an addictive romance with the perfect mix of fake marriage drama, billionaire tension, secrets, and an angry ex that keeps things interesting from start to finish.
What really made this book stand out for me was the chemistry between Emmy and Landon. Their relationship felt natural and emotional, and I loved watching them slowly break down each other’s walls. The fake marriage trope was done really well because it never felt forced, and the emotional tension between them kept me invested the entire time.
Both characters showed so much growth throughout the story. Emmy became stronger and more confident, while Landon’s character development made him far more than just the typical billionaire love interest. Their secret struggles and emotional baggage added depth to the romance and made the story feel more real.
The angry ex added extra drama without taking away from the main relationship, and overall the book had a great balance of romance, tension, and emotional moments. If you enjoy billionaire romances with fake marriage tropes, strong chemistry, and character growth, this book is definitely worth reading.

Firstly, thank you to the amazing A.M. Nelson for an ARC copy, I’m forever grateful.

Ahhhh! What an amazing story!! I loved Emmy and Landons relationship from the get go! What started out as a means to an end marriage, quickly and organically evolved into something so beautiful and real. Seeing Emmy grow into herself in this new society and new world that’s so foreign to her, to see her grow as a woman, wife and step mum, truly warmed my heart. Landon’s parents, however, they are stubborn as they come (self centred, rich snobs).

Dammit, why did it have to end? Why isn’t there more?

I loved the whole thing by the way. Anything this amazing lady writes, I feel I’ll love it before finishing chapter 1!

ARC REVIEW

Craving a romantic comedy? Keep reading…

A Billion Reasons to Stay by A.M. Nelson provides a high-stakes, billionaire comedy-romance with genuine emotional depth and authentic character growth.

The FMC and MMC have great chemistry from the start. Their fun, effortless banter was easy to read and laugh along with. The slow burn tension builds up steadily throughout the book in different phases.

Theres a couple of twists… including an interesting, unexpected spanner in the words that adds a great high-stakes element to the story also.

Add this to your TBR. Expect a fluffy, romantic comedy, some high-stakes and lots of slow burn!

Initially, it took a bit for me to get into this book but as the characters developed and the storyline deepened, I couldn’t put it down. It isn’t a long story, but there are lots of unexpected twists and turns and with relatable characters like Emmy and Landon, I loved this read. 💞
