Brooke Sinclair was supposed to be the one who made it out. The final girl. The survivor. Then Seth is ripped away, and her world turns into a trap built from unthinkable cruelty and betrayal that cuts deepest when it comes from the people who should have protected her. Alone, hunted, and forced to endure what should have killed her, Brooke has one question to answer. Will she stay the final girl, or will she become the villain?
Seth Kincaid is living in the space between life and death, stitched together by rage and one single purpose. Find Brooke. Get her back. Punish every hand that touched her. Pain doesn't soften him, it hardens him. If he has to burn the world down to reach her, he will.
This is the final chapter of their story. There are no rules left, only consequences. How far will they go to get back to each other, and what will be left when they do? Because some love stories live forever in blood.
B.W. Lacey writes dark romance and psychological thrillers that blur the line between love and obsession. Her stories are cinematic, brutal, and unapologetically raw where love bleeds, burns and sometimes kills.
A lifelong storyteller and teacher, Lacey brings emotional realism to her characters, weaving love, trauma, and violence into hauntingly intimate narratives. Her debut novel, All the Ways I’d Kill for You, introduced readers to Brooke and Seth, two lovers bound by darkness, and became a viral favorite among dark romance fans.
Outside of writing, Lacey fuels her creativity through travel, conventions, and horror marathons. Whether she’s exploring eerie new places or watching her favorite slashers, she’s always collecting inspiration for the next nightmare. Somewhere between plotting murder scenes and motherhood, she makes it all work.
My first 5 ⭐️of the year 🥹🥹🥹. Ms Lacey you ate that down not even going to lie cause why was I tearing up reading the authors note at the end😭. The story grew a lot from the first book and I’m happy I stuck it out. The character development with everyone was amazing, and the ending?🥹chefs kiss. You ate. Now write another dark romance trilogy thank you.
If I could give this 6 stars I would 🙌 I loved this so much!! It was a very dark emotional roller-coaster that had me in a chokehold. Seth and Brooke were everything 🫶 Loved Beau and Travis. The plot was soo good, I'm a sucker for a revenge plot and this was executed so well. And the spice was great as always 🤌 Can't believe I have to say goodbye to these characters but I'm so very happy with the ending and conclusion of their story 😌 Keen to see what B.W Lacey writes next!
First of all, WOW! Oh my goodness…! Part one had me in shambles and crashing out and had me staring at the wall and the ceiling for hours at a time. B.W. knows how to reel you in and make you have crashouts that makes you want to stare at the wall and asking yourself if it gets better throughout the book, which my commentary to B.W. was me crashing out reading book 3. Part One was a lot to read, especially when I reached to the card game scene…😳😳 that part I still think about to this day, after I finished reading the last book of the trilogy that got me out of a book slump.
Part Two of the book, I’m glad that Brooke got the justice she deserves and made everyone pay for what she went through at Elliot’s Manor!
It got better towards the ending, and epilogue— I’m sobbing🥲🥲🥹🥹
I’m sad that Brooke and Seth’s story is over but theirs will always have a special place in my heart, along with this trilogy will always have a special place in my heart.
B.W., you’re an amazing author and person inside and out, and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey and thank you for introducing me to reading this amazing trilogy which I’ll never stop recommending people, because it’s so good, you don’t want to stop reading 📖🥰 I’d recommend this trilogy to anyone over and over again, so they can know what an amazing author you are!
Continue doing all the things! Continue writing all the things!
You’re amazing! 🖤🫶🏼

All The Ways I’d Kill For You by B.W. Lacey is everything I wanted from the final installment of the Psychotic Devotion trilogy—and then some. This was an easy 5-star read for me.
From the very first page, she pulls you in and refuses to let go. That prologue? Immediate hook. The kind that has you settling in like, “yeah… I’m not doing anything else today.”, and I didn’t 😂. And it never lets up. The pacing, the tension, the emotional weight—it all hits exactly where it needs to.
What really sets this book (and honestly, the entire trilogy) apart is the way it feels cinematic. The descriptions are so vivid it’s like watching everything unfold in your mind in real time. Every scene plays out so clearly, so intensely, that you’re not just reading—you’re in it.
The relationship dynamics are dark, obsessive, and all-consuming in the best way for this genre. It walks that fine line between intensity and emotion without losing the depth of the characters or the stakes. Nothing feels surface-level. Everything matters.
As a conclusion to the trilogy, it delivers. No loose ends that leave you unsatisfied—just a story that fully commits to what it set out to be from the beginning. And it sticks the landing.
Overall, this entire series is top-shelf dark romance thriller. If you’re into stories that grip you from page one, drag you through emotional chaos, and leave you thinking about it long after you finish… this is it.
After the cliffhanger in book two I just KNEW this book was going to be insane… and I was right!
In part one, we are lead to believe Seth has died from the gunshot wound he received in the hotel and Brooke has been kidnapped by her own uncle who we now know is part of a murderous cult known as The Collective. Once Brooke regains consciousness, Uncle John informs her that The Collective is sending her to Elliot’s Manor where she will be tested to determine her worth.
The horrors Brooke faces in the manor are unimaginable. Family game night takes on a whole new meaning and survival is all but a pipe dream. But thanks to her bestie Travis (who I absolutely LOVE), our mystery caller shows up just in time to save Seth and help him rescue his final girl.
Part two is where the story REALLY gets wild. Brooke is battling not only the demons in the outside world, but also those in her head after everything she has endured. But being the badass she is, she decides she’s not going to be a victim and instead chooses vengeance…And I just LOVE when an FMC enters her villain era 😈
Long story short, this has become one of my FAVORITE trilogies and I would recommend it to anyone who loves all things dark, disturbing and dangerously SPICY 🥵🖤

I’m not even sure how to properly write a review for this book because… WOW. Like, big wow.
The best way I can describe All the Ways I’d Live for You is: imagine a slasher movie, an insanely intense dark romance, and John Wick all mixed together. This book went HARD.
There are two separate parts, and from start to finish it is nonstop action, chaos, obsession, violence, passion, and absolute madness in the best way. So much happens, and every single page had me locked in.
And let me tell you, there were scenes in this book that had me physically cringing from the visuals my brain was creating. Not because they were badly written—quite the opposite. The writing was so vivid and immersive that I could picture every horrifying detail. If an author can make me cringe, squirm, and simultaneously refuse to stop reading, that’s a testament to just how talented they are.
What a way to end a trilogy. Truly.
I don’t want to give too much away, so I’ll just say this: if you love horror films, dark romance, and an FMC/MMC who are both completely obsessed and would kill, burn, and destroy the world for each other, read this book.
This was the perfect ending for the trilogy. The plot is dark and tense but raw and emotional, pulling you in and refusing to let go.
Brooke’s journey is brutal and unforgettable, constantly blurring the line between survivor and villain in a way that feels completely earned. Seth is relentless, driven by a love that is consuming and dangerous, and it adds so much intensity to every moment.
The spice adds so much to the plot and atmosphere, deepening the connection and making the emotions hit even harder.
This trilogy will leave an everlasting mark after reading.
I am so sad to finish this trilogy because it was so freaking good! I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC copy of this book, and after becoming obsessed with books one and two, I decided to apply for the street team and was accepted. I couldn’t be more grateful 🫶🏻
I’ve honestly never felt this way about a book before. I laughed, I cried, I was grossed out, I was scared and I loved every minute of it.
Yes, it’s a dark romance and very spicy/sexy, but it also had me on the edge of my seat with my jaw on the floor. It was unlike anything I’ve ever read before.
I will forever recommend this trilogy. Bravo, B.W. Lacey 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This was the perfect ending to this trilogy and I couldn’t have asked for anything more than what we got 😭 I had my calendar marked for the release of this book and dove in as soon as I could get my hands on it.
I’ve read lots of dark romance but never thriller dark romance and I think I’ve found a new fav genre. I love horror movies so the gore in this trilogy left me shook but so pleasantly surprised.
The whole trilogy was amazing. The plot was solid, the character development and depth was so good, and the smut was top fucking tier.
Seth and Brooke will be living rent free in my head for awhile. A reread will be in my future at some point. 🖤
Words can’t describe how amazing and thrilling this whole series was . All of them were amazing but book 3 was my favorite. I can really see the changes in the writing and the stellar world building and descriptions in this. Darker than the previous books and exactly what I needed. This gave scary movie mixed with some wicked Stephan king vibes. Such a beautiful ending and story twist . I am going to miss this world 😩 Forever team Seth and Brooke 😩😩🤭
Rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice : 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Dark hearts : 🖤🖤🖤.5
I would give this book 10 stars if I could! Two people who’s survived trauma and battled mental health issues who doesn’t believe they deserve love or family. Who ultimately deserve it all. They burned it all down for each other and found the perfect family. I cried so many happy tears at the end I’m pretty sure I need therapy. Seth could have killed every single person he came in contact with and I would still believe he deserved it all.
I am UGLY CRYING. I loved this series so much, especially this book. This was like the EOD trilogy mixed with HD's cat and mouse duet. The DETAILS of the revenge scenes were so in depth I felt like I was actually there. The character development, especially Brooke's, was done so steadily and gruesomely beautiful. I just loved it so much. Five billion stars. I will be reading every single book this author puts out
So this is wraps up the story of Seth and Brooke. When I tell you it’s non stop and takes you to the depths of darkness and deprivation. The darkness of some people. Then turns around and takes you to the trauma and darkness of a survivor. True revenge and love. This book has all the things from the monsters that lurk in the dark corners of human kind to th monsters that dwell within a person who has been abused. So. Damn. Good.
My GOSH what a fantastic way to end such an amazing trilogy!! There was so many times I was on the edge hoping the worst wasn’t gonna happen to both these amazing characters. Chef kiss to the author for writing just an amazing story about survival and finding love in places you would never think of! I’m so curious about Beau and his side now knowing that isn’t even his actual name!! This series is definitely one of one top favs now!
Omg so good! I found myself shocked in all the good ways throughout this book, which is saying something because I enjoy dark romance. Believe me when I say this is DARK. Had my jaw dropped for most of it. This was such a satisfying ending to an amazing trilogy!
This two part book was the perfect ending to the trilogy. The first part was sooo pitch black whew! Lacey took me through it that first part. Part One: Brooke was a victim. Oh but part two, the prey became the Hunter! I loved seeing Brooke’s transformation. This was worth the read every time!!!
HOLY SHIT!! this is the fastest i have ever read a book. i absolutely devoured all 700 pages in less than 48 hours with little to no sleep, food or water, because of how locked in i was 😅 i have so much love for this series and B.W. Lacey. this trilogy and this author is so uniquely beautiful and unlike anything i have read before. i have never felt so attached to characters before as if i knew them personally. i had this weird internal dilemma of wanting to slow down to savor the book knowing i would be sad when it was over, but also not being able to stop. unfortunately, i just could not put it down. i tried, but i couldn’t. the longest i had it put down (besides the minimal hours of sleep i got at night) was for a doctor’s appointment and that was only an hour long and unbearable. i canceled plans with friends because i knew i would have to put it down again and it killed me to imagine doing that 😅 i knew today was my last day off before working the rest of the week so i was hoping to finish it today and im glad i did! I definitely am going to reread it when it is officially released in May too because that’s how crazy i am 😭🫶🏻
something that i have loved so much throughout the series and has gotten stronger with each book is how much Seth and Brooke would do for each other and the lengths they would go to to protect each other. i seriously love them so much and they just make perfect sense for each other.
this book is a very hard read at times. B.W. Lacey said pitch black and she MEANT IT. please read the trigger warnings and proceed with caution 🖤
i seriously do not have a single negative thing to say about this book other than the fact that it’s over. but even then, it ended in a very satisfying way. i could not of asked for a better ending. i’m going to miss this storyline and these characters so much, but im just so glad i got to experience it at all, and i know that there are 3 beautiful novels waiting to be reread! so excited to see what this wildly talented and amazing author chooses to do next. 🖤
The final book in the psychotic devotion series DID NOT MISS. Please check your triggers before reading, there are some heavy themes in book 3. I’m so glad I found this author because it is painstaking to wait on the other authors I love sometimes. If you like Leigh Rivers, H.D. Carlton, Steph Macca, L.J. Shien and/or Katelyn Taylor you need to get on this series. All the characters get more development, the love between the two main characters deepens and we get so much flipping action omg! I will say the spicey scenes come later than the other two books but I promise she did not forget our smut it is strategically placed for the story line. I’m so lucky to have been an arc reader, you guys need to pre order or remember to buy on May 22. If you haven’t started this series as a dark romance reader…. GO NOW. You can thank me later
I took my time reading this book since it’s the end of the trilogy. I’m completely obsessed & in love with Seth & Brooke. Travis is the hysterically sarcastic bff that everyone should have in their life.
In this final chapter for Brooke & Seth, they go after everyone that’s attempted to destroy them. There were twists & turns & OMG moments throughout the entire book. I laughed & cried. I held my breath through chapters not knowing where it was going or what was about to happen.
B.W. did another amazing job writing this one. It’s perfect & I loved every page of it. This trilogy will live rent free in my head for the rest of my life. It’s that good & should be read immediately by all the dark romance lovers.
This book is an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. You feel like you’re right there beside Brooke and Seth as they navigate a harsh, unforgiving world that seems determined to break them at every turn.
The suspense is constant—every chapter leaves you wondering what will happen next and what new challenge they’ll have to face. The tension, the twists, and the emotional depth kept me completely hooked.
The chemistry is intense, the stakes are high, and the story is absolutely gripping. B.W. Lacey has done it again—I can’t wait for more of her books to wreak havoc on my soul in the best possible way.
The final book in the Psychotic Devotion series seriously went ALL in. All the Ways I’d Live for You definitely felt heavier emotionally than the first two books, so please check triggers before jumping in because some scenes are A LOT.
What I loved most is how much deeper everything got in this one. The relationships, the obsession, the chaos… it all felt more intense and emotional at the same time
And yes, the spice is still there. It takes a little longer to build compared to the other books, but honestly when it finally hits, it HITS.
Quickly bumped to my #1 favorite book! I will forever recommend and reread this trilogy! The family gets broken only to pull themselves back together again. They will never be the same as before but they build themselves better. We get to see them accomplish all that they set out for and more. I don’t want to spoil anything at all so I’m trying to be vague. Read this trilogy you will not regret it!
Sad to see this trilogy go. I became so invested in the characters. The author’s pen was on fire for this one and this third book was executed amazingly. I really loved how the story played out, there were some graphic scenes that were just a little too much for me but hey the author warned us of what was to come so I can’t complain too much. Looking forward to whatever the author does next!
Hold crap!!! You aren't ready for this! If you thought Seth couldn't get more creative, think again! If you thought B.W. Lacey couldn't possibly make you feel more uncomfortable with delicious horror, then make sure you check the triggers! This book delivered!
Powerful writing. This series is truly one of a kind and keeps you on the edge of your seat with each page you turn. If you love a good thriller and something that draws you in. You don’t want to miss this series
My immediate reaction to finishing All the Ways I’d Live for You by B.W. Lacey was just… raw, unfiltered emotion. The good, the bad, the beautiful, and the ugly all at once. I cried, I tried to breathe through it, and then I cried again. And somewhere amidst the despair, my heart warmed. There was this quiet sense of peace in seeing everything these characters went through—everything they survived—and how they came out of it more or less on top.
“You know why I'm good at this,” he said. His voice stayed even. Direct. “It's not talent. It's not training. My body's been in fight mode since I was a kid.” He didn't look away. “I didn't get to run. I didn't get to freeze. It was hit or get hit. Win or get chained to a wall. That switch flipped and it never flipped back.”
And right there—that’s what this entire book felt like. Survival wasn’t a choice—it was who they became.
Finishing this book wasn’t just one emotion—it was a whole army of them. Relief, rage, anticipation, grief, love, healing… I felt completely emotionally wrecked in every possible way, and somehow still grateful for it.
If I had to describe the ending of this book in one dramatic sentence it would be: " They walked through hell together and came out on top flipping off all the motherfuckers who hurt them along the way straight to their rotting graves"
Here's a Brief Synopsis of the story for you: Brooke Sinclair was supposed to be the one who made it out. The final girl. The survivor. Then Seth is ripped away, and her world turns into a trap built from unthinkable cruelty and betrayal that cuts deepest when it comes from the people who should have protected her. Alone, hunted, and forced to endure what should have killed her, Brooke has one question to answer: will she stay the final girl, or will she become the villain? Seth Kincaid is living in the space between life and death, stitched together by rage and one single purpose—find Brooke, get her back, and punish every hand that touched her. Pain doesn’t soften him, it hardens him. If he has to burn the world down to reach her, he will. This is the final chapter of their story. There are no rules left—only consequences. How far will they go to get back to each other, and what will be left when they do? Because some love stories live forever in blood.
There were so many themes, emotions, and circumstances in this book that hit painfully close to home for me. And it wasn’t just one character—it was so many of them. The depth and complexity that was poured into these characters felt so real it almost stole the air from my lungs.
“I still miss the girl I was before everything,” I say. “Not in a sad, desperate way. Just… sometimes I grieve her. The version of me who didn't know what it felt like to kill someone, or be hunted, or tortured.”
That line didn’t just hit—it stayed with me.
I come from a broken home. I carry trauma and PTSD that I’ll probably be unpacking for the rest of my life, and there were moments in this story where I had to stop and just sit with what I was reading because of how deeply I understood it.
Seth was one of the characters I connected to most because of everything he endured, especially with his family. I didn’t see myself in his actions—but I understood him in a way that honestly shook me.
And Brooke… what she goes through in this book—without spoilers—completely wrecked me. There were moments where I felt like I was experiencing it with her. I wanted to step into the story just to tell her I understood, that I’d been there. And somehow, through all of that pain, this book made me feel less alone in things I still carry with me every single day.
I feel like this entire book hit close to home—the intensity of love, both romantic and familial, the grief, the loss, and what those things do to a person. Especially the idea of chosen family, and how powerful and necessary that kind of love really is.
My favorite character might honestly surprise people, but it’s Travis. Not just because of what he’s been through, but because of the energy he brings. In the middle of all the chaos, darkness, and violence, he adds this humor and light that made me love him even more.
This book broke my heart in a lot of ways, but if I had to choose a character's story that really broke my heart—it would be Miles. The impact he had, even in the short time we got with him, was unforgettable.
The characters that frustrated me the most were honestly the kids. Their choices had me wanting to scream—but at the same time, knowing everything they went through, I understood why they acted the way they did. I didn’t always like it… but I got it.
And Samantha? She deserved better. That’s it. That’s the statement.
As far as the love in this story—it comes in two very different, but equally powerful forms.
Brooke and Seth’s relationship is intense, consuming, and unapologetically dark. It’s obsessive, passionate, messy, and deeply intimate in a way that feels both dangerous and addictive.
“Brooke… you act like you forgot who the fuck I am and what I'm willing to do to keep you alive.”
And if that doesn’t tell you everything about their love, I don’t know what will.
And then there’s the found family—the kind of love that is fierce, protective, and unwavering. The kind that makes you feel like you’d burn the world down for the people you care about.
From the very beginning, every relationship in this story felt earned. So when everything finally came together, it hit in the most emotional and satisfying way possible.
There was never a moment where I wasn’t rooting for these characters. I was smiling like an idiot, giggling, yelling, cheering them on—fully emotionally invested at every turn.
The love in this book felt dangerous as hell… but I ate it up every single time.
The moment that hurt me the most—without spoilers—was the deeply personal loss Brooke experienced. It hit way too close to home, and I felt every ounce of it.
“It's been two weeks. Two weeks of hell dressed up as silence. Two weeks since we ended Grant, since the ground swallowed him whole, and the world kept moving. It doesn't bring back the people he took from us. It didn't undo the damage. It left a space where rage used to sit, and that space hurts worse.”
I had to stop reading after that.
There were multiple scenes where I had to pause—not because it was “too much,” but because it was so much. The writing demanded that I sit with those emotions and actually feel them.
This book broke me open—but it also took the time to put me back together.
The writing itself is incredible. It’s raw, immersive, and so emotionally charged it felt like a movie playing in my head the entire time.
The pacing? Perfect. The twists? Insane. And the banter—especially between Travis and Beau—had me laughing and kicking my feet every single time.
The ending was everything I could’ve hoped for and more. The final stretch of this book is packed with emotion, resolution, and such deep connection that it honestly left me speechless.
“You've done the work, Brooke. You clawed your way out of something most people couldn't survive. You lost things. You let parts of yourself die. But you're still here. You're still choosing love, you're choosing yourself. That isn't only healing. That is transformative.”
And somehow… after everything, they did.
It gave the kind of closure that hurts—but in the most satisfying way.
I just finished it and I’m still reeling. Brooke and Seth’s story is going to live in my head rent-free forever.
I wouldn’t change a single thing—but I will always want more of these characters.
If you love dark romance, thrillers, morally gray chaos, unhinged characters, and stories that will emotionally devastate you but still have you thanking the author for it—read this.
If you haven’t started this trilogy yet, fix that immediately.
This is for anyone who has walked through darkness, fought their way back, and came out stronger—even if they’re still healing.
First off, ⚠️ CHECK YOUR TRIGGERS ⚠️ this book is DARK. A lot darker than books 1 & 2. And while I loooooove me a long list of trigger warnings, I understand this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.
Second. This book was absolutely EVERYTHING. B.W. Lacey truly outdid herself AGAIN. The plot was wild, the kill scenes were disgusting in the best ways, the spice was HOT AF 🔥 I was on the edge of my seat the ENTIRE TIME. I’m telling you, from start to finish, straight from the damn prologue, my anxiety was sky high.
Now, for the characters. What Brooke and Seth went through was devastating. Catastrophic. The character development in this book couldn’t have been more perfect. The torture, trauma, everything Brooke went through, you could practically feel it. It killed me. So when she decides she’s not going to be a victim and she’s going to get revenge… I LOVED IT. She was brutal. Lethal. And perhaps a little twisted. But she needed to be. Brooke is a badass. And probably my all time favorite FMC. And Seth? Don’t even get me started on Seth. 🥵 He takes “morally gray” to a whole new level and I love him for it. He’s not just a “touch her and die” MMC. He’s more of a “touch her and I’ll torture the hell out of you until you’re almost dead, then I’ll torture you some more” kinda MMC, and I love him for it. His obsession, his love, his devotion to Brooke, it’s everything. He loves her the way we all wish to be loved. Just maybe without the murder 🤷🏻♀️ Travis. Ugh. Travis. I freaking LOVE Travis! The banter between him, Seth and now Beau is legendary. It really helps lighten up all the darkness. He’s funny. He’s sweet. Loyal. Selfless. And I’m so glad he now has Naomi after everything he’s been through. And let me tell you, I thought he was dead I almost threw my kindle out the window!! BEAU??? Pleasssseeee tell me we’re going to get book about Beau sometime in the future because I. AM. OBSESSED.
In the end. I am so happy that Seth & Brooke got their happily ever after with their baby, Mila and Seth’s siblings- Elise and Ryan. After everything they’ve been through, they deserved that. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this book, or this series as a whole. This is a 1000000/10 read. I can’t recommend this enough.
I can’t wait to see what B.W Lacey comes up with next!!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
All The Ways I’d Kill For You by B.W. Lacey is everything I wanted from the final installment of the Psychotic Devotion trilogy, delivering a flawless, top-shelf dark romance thriller.
This series and this author are uniquely beautiful and unlike anything I have read before, featuring a storyline and characters that make you feel so deeply attached it feels as though you know them personally.
The book establishes an immediate, captivating grip, balancing sharp pacing and heavy emotional tension perfectly from the start. It creates a captivating struggle for the reader, balancing the desire to pause and admire the sheer craftsmanship of the prose against the relentless momentum of the plot.
What has grown increasingly powerful with each book is the absolute depth of Seth and Brooke’s connection and the extreme lengths they will go to to protect each other. Their relationship is dark, obsessive, and all-consuming in the best possible way, walking a fine line of intensity without ever losing character depth or making anything feel surface-level.
If you thought Seth couldn't get more creative, or if you thought the author couldn't make you feel more uncomfortable with delicious horror, think again.
The writing style feels entirely cinematic, with descriptions so vivid that every scene plays out in your mind in real-time, making you feel as though you are experiencing the psychological chaos right alongside the characters.
As a conclusion, this book fully commits to what it set out to be from the beginning and absolutely sticks the landing, wrapping up perfectly with no loose ends. It is rare to find a book with absolutely no flaws, save for the fact that the final page has been turned.
This trilogy is a masterpiece of its genre, and B.W. Lacey has proven herself to be a brilliant storyteller.
It is important to note that this is a very hard read at times, and when B.W. Lacey promises pitch-black themes, she absolutely means it, so checking the trigger warnings and proceeding with caution is highly recommended.
I was chosen to do a beta read of this book from the author. I've been on her arc team for the other books in this series and I can't say enough nice things about B. W. Lacey. She is just incredible and her writing style is perfection for my dark reads side.
This book deserves so much more than 5 stars! And I'll give it 10 chili peppers.
As the ending of this fantastic trilogy, this book is dark. I loved everything about this story and how it played out for Seth and Brooke. Now, with that being said, there were some very dark and emotional chapters that had me just staring at the wall with tears running down my face, and a what the hell did I just read mantra in my head. I had to put it down and walk away a few times when the loss and grief really took a toll on me. But I wouldn't change a thing with this story.
Brooke goes through what can only be describe as walking through the pits of hell with no end in site. But she is one badass FMC and the way she fights will have you cheering at the top of your lungs. And then there's Seth, who will die before he gives up on finding her. He will literally burn the world down to find her and destroy everyone who stood in his way. This MMC is dark, dangerous, and so freaking sexy you won't even care that he's covered in blood. The way his obsession for her just completely consumes him is toxic and so freaking HOT! Us dark romance girlies understand what I mean. He might be the best MMC there has ever been in any slasher horror movie ever made. I would love to see these books turn into movies. They would be amazing.
This Trilogy is a must read for the slasher/gore/horror/dark (pitch black) romance lovers. Check the TW's because your mental health is the most important thing. But if you don't have any TW, then move these books to the Top of your TBR NOW so you are ready for this one to come out May 22nd, 2026. You can thank me later!!
