Grace Meyers is an author of beachy feel-good romances and women's contemporary fiction. She was born in the south, but has traveled a bit since then and now lives in a small coastal town.
So far this series has caught my attention. Lindsey is in a rut and is trying to figure out how to navigate her life and find happiness. She is a struggling artist who is currently working at a gift shop in her small town to make ends meet. She is taking care of her grandma and trying hard to forget her past. Between having flashbacks to when she was in her twenties and trying to keep her bills paid, she is stressing out. After walking into a store, she stumbles upon a young girl whom Lindsey believes is in trouble, but things are not what they seem and it looks like Lindsey is going to find out what jumping to the wrong conclusion can cause. So far a good start to a new series.
A good start to a new series. Lindsey’s life is a wreck. She is living with her Grandmother, known as Nani, in a house that needs lots of repairs. Her art career is at a standstill with no inspiration. On top of that she is employed in a dead end job, working at a souvenir shop, with a supervisor half her age.
On top of that, a long kept secret is haunting her dreams.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.
Sorry, if you're going to write a book, write a book, not a series of short stories continuing the same storyline. It's a ripoff to paying customers. Luckily, I have kindle unlimited so I didn't purchase this short story. It is frustrating to get a few chapters into a story then there's a cliff hanger and it says continue with book two. Not going there ever again. I do not recommend this series.
A wonderful start to the series. The characters are compelling, each carrying a past they’re trying to rise above, and the house—and the woman who comes with it—are both in need of a little love and attention. There’s plenty of romance simmering beneath the surface, and I’m excited to see where it all leads.
The Shoreline House books are good but I don't like how they are just an extention of the story you are reading. Just make it one book! Don't make us read 6 chapters and the have to download another 6. It's very annoying, especially since it is one book sentence ends and the next book begins right where it finished. If I wasn't caught up in the story I would quit now. Sue Kaye
