I loved how this little series came to an end, it was perfection!
Calloway is the younger sibling, but he will do anything he has to in order to protect his brothers and their mates. And once he discovers who his mate is, it’s game over! He is going to take down the Elite system and make sure it changes.
Romy has been groomed her entire life knowing she would be sold at the Elite auction. But it’s so much worse when the day finally comes. But she is not like the other women, she knows they aren’t going to go lead this elaborate and glamor lifestyle.
Calloway and Romy together were just perfect! The two of them working together to save the girls and take everything down? Yes please! They were connected in a way that just drew me in. I can’t help but love these two. And when they get together, the spice was good!
Last book in the series. I felt like this one was a slower pace and I was getting restless with the book. Towards the end, everything came together and it was a good ending to this trilogy.
Wow! What a way to end this trilogy. It felt complete, there was closure and this series definitely felt finished. There was no loose ends and everything just felt final. I can see how it could have gone on but I’m glad with the way it ended. It was wrapped up in a nice neat bow. What I loved about this one is that Romy was already hesitant about the whole thing and questioned if things felt right. She had a gut feeling that something wasn’t adding up and she didn’t feel right about any of it. This is what I wish Blair had. Also, with Romy, I felt like she had more of a deeper connection with Cal already since they were childhood friends and knew each other. They basically grew up together and it felt like a friends to lovers trope with this one except Romy already felt something for him. The bond felt more connected between them. I felt like Romy was in on everything with Cal and knew intentions and plans. She was very much working on instinct and trust in Cal. It felt seamless and natural. There was no secrets or cryptic warnings like Blair and Kylie had. The connection and togetherness Cal and Romy had is what I strongly believe that Kylie should have had with Rook, and Blair with Kane. That was what was missing in the first two books and why I hesitated in giving it a 5 because there was more dancing around the situation and I felt like Kylie and Blair were very much kept in the dark about things and how dangerous it could get, hell it already was. With Cal and Romy, she knew exactly what she was getting herself into, and if her instincts were correct, then Cal confirming it was the icing on the cake. Their connection and bond didn’t drag out either and I felt like it did with Kylie and Blair. It was a quick wham bam, thank you ma’am between them and I liked how the scene didn’t drag out. Romy understood exactly what Cal was saying and it didn’t require much explanation on his end. I wish it was like that with Kylie and Blair. Cal was to the point, and Romy immediately got it. There was no deeper or longer explanation necessary because she felt the bond too and knew where Cal was coming from because she felt the same. From there she made the quick decision to accept the bond and take Cal as her mate. She actually begged him to take her blood and not only asked once, but twice and Cal delivered. All of this happened in the course of five minutes, maybe less, and I was ecstatic. I also felt like I could get through this one more quickly and it overall felt like a more enjoyable read to me. Then there was the situation with Rook, Kane and Cal’s uncle. The whole time you are wondering what his motive is, and you don’t trust him until he pulls the rug out from under you and everything you doubted about him is like a splash of cold water to the face. You don’t see it coming and want to stand up and cheer for joy. This put the nail in the coffin for me about how awesome this book turned out. It’s figuratively, but it tracks because of vampires. The book closes out with a new council and step in the right direction for the fate of the women and vampires to come for the entire selection process and ceremony. It makes you wonder why it never went in that direction to begin with. It becomes a more natural way for it to happen. There is more romance and includes more passion, tenderness and love rather than being ruthless with the need for power, and greedy direction it was going in. Very well done for a duo that hasn’t written a book like this before. I’d say it’s a success and I hope Max and Monroe come up with more ideas like this one.

The final Slater brothers book! I liked it! It was suspensy, vampirey, sparky, sweet, funny, dangerous. I really enjoyed reading this. I loved the epilogues! Great final book in this series! I still wished the whole series would've been a bit more detailed and just longer. But it was okay the way it was.
How about that TV Show about the Slater brothers now?!

The third book in the Blue-Collar Vigilante Vampires series centers around the youngest Slater brother, Calloway. With his two older brothers now with their fated mates, it’s up to him to tear this arcane society of elite vampires and their practices to the ground. Not that he has any choice in the matter when his “Uncle” Lucian shows up on their cabin doorstep and forces them to come with him. It was either go with him or be turned over to But it’s not before Lucian tells the boys that their mother was one of the last of her bloodline, which in turn makes the Slater Brothers part of the elite (not that they want anything to do with them).
Romy Spencer is one of the unlucky human women who’s participating in the auction and there’s nothing she can do about it. Romy can sense that it’s not exactly what her mom thinks it is, but she has no way out. That is until she runs into Cal Slater the first night of the selection process and immediately feels at ease. She and Cal went to a prep school together in Boston when they were younger. Romy’s always had a bit of crush on Cal. All those years apart didn’t really change her feelings for him.
As for Cal, seeing Romy was like running directly into a brick wall. Now he understood Rook’s connection with Kylie and Kane’s connection with Blair. Once Cal realizes his fated mate is part of this madness, he will do everything in his power to tear everything down or die trying. Unfortunately, he knew he needed to stay away from Romy to make this work but found ways that they could be near each other without (hopefully) tipping off Uncle Lucian. Plus, Cal knew he needed Romy’s help to be able to get the other woman out of harms way when the time came.
I’m not going to spoil what comes next. But I will say that it was everything I had hoped it would be. There are a few surprises thrown in there that even I didn’t see coming. I devoured this series from the first page of Garbage Man to the last page of Demolition Man, with the Repo Man tossed in the middle. The only vampire stories I’ve read are Twilight and the Vampire Lestat. Plus, I have a healthy fixation for the movie (and now the Broadway show), The Lost Boys. But these Slater Brothers are something else and I’m so here for them.
It’s here and the final book of the Slater brothers was the best of the three. Maybe it was because we got all the answers, maybe it was because the Elite got exactly what the deserved, or maybe it was because Rook, Kane, and Cal are finally happy.
Cal’s book picks up from where Kane’s ended. They are at the cabin and find an Elite vampire on their doorstep and while they expect the wrath the council is known for, that’s not what happens at all. Instead, they are taken by Lucian (the Elite council member) to join the rest of the Elite. Well sort of anyway. Rook, Kane and their mates, Kylie and Blair are locked away, and Cal is taken under the wing so to speak of Lucian.
This is particularly troubling for Cal because obviously he despises the council and everything they stand for. He has no choice to play along with their sick game to keep his brothers and their mates safe all while figuring out how to take them down from the inside. Things get complicated when Cal’s mate is one of the many women who are there for the selection.
Romy Spencer is that woman. She, like Blair, is aware of the vampire world and has been prepped for her future as a vampire mate. Unlike Blair, Romy doesn’t think its going to be the dream come true that Blair did. She’s scared, and angry about the whole thing. She’s not foolish though she keeps as much of her terror and rage locked away all while trying to figure out how to get out of the selection before it’s too late.
An added bonus to this story is that Romy and Cal already know each other. The two went to the same prep school and while Romy had a little crush and Cal was always careful with her, they never knew they would mean more to each other.
Now reunited and in the thick of some series danger the two are fighting the draw of fated mates while stealing moments together. On top of that they are planning to destroy the council rescue all the women and live happily ever after. Of course they have to survive it all first.
This book had everything I wanted. We found out about the brother’s parentage. We found that not all vampires that are considered Elite are evil demons and we found the magic of fated mates.
This was an unexpected series from Max Monroe but they nailed it and I’m excited to see if they venture into the fantasy world again. Either way I’ll always be interested in Max Monroe’s storytelling.
Still starting with the fact that I’m not a huge paranormal girlie…but Max Monroe’s ending on the last book in this series had me in a full sprint to the start of this read.
Calloway Slater is the mechanic of the Slater brothers. He’s made a living in tearing things apart & he’s not afraid to flaunt his lack of elite status in the vampire world. But with a few knocks on the door of their secluded cabin in the woods, he finds himself face to smarmy face with Lucian Wrath—Vice President of the Elite Council. When a war between classes of vampires finds its way to their doorstep, the Slater brothers are prepared for the battle of a lifetime. But in a surprise to them all, they are all instead forced away to an Elite’s compound where Calloway proves that he will do anything to save & protect his brothers & their newly found mates. Even if that means becoming the intended protege of the Elite Council’s pawn. Finding himself at the forefront of the gala auction as a participant, Cal is mentally calculating the risks & processes of taking down the society from within. But when he runs into an old friend, he feels the draw that makes him understand his brothers on an entirely different level. He’s known Romy Spencer since prep school, & has always been nice, kind, & careful with her. While Romy had harbored quite a crush on him, she never knew that he would be such an integral part of her existence from here on out. Like Blair, she has been raised knowing her fate lies in The Elite vampire auction. But she isn’t fooled into believing that a life a glamour precedes her. She skeptical & doesn’t trust a single thing she’s being told. She’s determined to come out of this nightmare & take the other women with her if able. While Romy & Cal are not afforded the luxury of spending time together & getting to know each other on a deeper level publicly, they find ways to meet in secret. Neither trust The Elite, but they trust each other. And when they devise a plan, cooperation of outside factors is key in the execution. Watching these two bond was nothing short of the universe’s nod at a perfect match. And watching the utter chaos unfold had me on the edge of my seat & cheering for them both. With surprises around every corner, this series closed out in an epic battle giving The Elites exactly what they had coming.
Fantastic conclusion to the mini series. You will want to read the three books in proper order to follow the storyline. (Garbage Man, Repo Man, Demolition Man.) Each book features a different brother and his fated mate, though all three brothers have strong roles in each of the books. The Vampire brothers are doing what they can to save their mates from the clutches of the Elite vamps. Where they would be sold to the highest bidder and used and abused until they are destroyed. (All in the name of family legacy.) Though the women (and their families) don't know the truth about what happens once the girls are sold. In book one, they had to kidnap a woman who was scheduled to be part of the auction. This put a target on the brother's back. (No one goes against the Elite council.) Book two also required a kidnapping and not only was there a target on them, but now it was war. This book required no kidnapping, but the battle was brutal. Each of the brothers bring their own strengths and powers into play. Rook (Garbage Man) can read minds. Kane (Repo Man) can read intentions. Calloway (Demolition Man) has superpower hearing. Together they work to save the women and with a little luck, end the 'Choosing Ceremony' once and for all. Wonderful characters all round. Romy, the featured Fated Mate in this book, is strong and level headed. She didn't have a choice in being part of the Selection with the Elite, and she definitely didn't 'drink the kool aid.' She knows it's not all rainbows and sunshine like the Elite would like everyone believe. Hopefully Cal can save the day. We get to meet the guys family (when they also meet them for the first time.) There are a couple of surprise reveals. There is a tiny amount of sexual content (really only one scene.) A few laughs (though not many.) This was, in my opinion anyways, was more emotional then the other two. I don't know if it was because the clock was ticking on their chance to succeed in their mission, or for the fact that we were in the thick of the ceremonial weekend (and all that entails,) or because there was more anxiety with everything. Probably all of the above. There is a nice epilogue that we get from each of the brother's POV that was kinda cute. :) The books all read fast and easy. Alternating POVs.
Demolition Man Blue Collar Vigilante Vampires Series, Book 3 Max Monroe
Calloway and Romy
The finale to the Slater brothers trilogy. These should be read in order, starting with Garbage Man, then Repo Man, then Demolition Man. So, let’s recap. If you haven’t read any of these books, there may be spoilers.
The three Slater brothers grew up different but always stuck together. They are very close and would do anything for each other. The Slaters are blue collar workers; Rook a garbage man, Kane a repo man, and Calloway a demolition man. Oh, and they are vampires. So in the vampire world, because of blood lines there is a hierarchy. The wealthy and powerful vampires are the Elites. And for decades, the Elites have run things the way they wanted, keeping themselves wealthy and powerful. Rook, Kane, and Cal are blue collar so not part of that world, and just try to live life and stay far away from the Elites, as much as possible. But something happens to vampires around the age of 28. There is a force or draw when they see the woman that is meant to be their fated mate. The woman they are meant to be bonded to forever.
As Rook, Kane, and Cal’s stories proceed, each of them find their fated mate. But they run into a big problem. The Elites want those women for themselves. Now the Slater brothers will have to go up against all the Elites, to fight for a balanced life, and to end the outdated and barbaric way of the Elites. Most importantly, they will fight to the end to protect the women they love. But there will be some surprises along the way as the brothers learn all about the vampire world.
I really liked this series. I try to go into every book with an open mind and not make comparisons. Every book is different and that is what is so great. Everyone should give these a shot. They are not that long and quick paced and can be read in a few short hours. True to Max Monroe, these books were easy to read, entertaining, and a lot of fun. Generally, I do not read paranormal books, but when some of my favorite authors write in that genre, I will try just about anything. So yes, this is vampire brothers, but Max Monroe style…Rom-Com Vampires! Thank you #HambrightPR
"Calloway Slater is quiet, methodical, and the kind of man who makes his living tearing things apart with steady hands and zero hesitation."
Give me a sexy vampire who will demolish anyone who tries to harm those he loves or gets in the way of him getting his girl! I loved all of the books in this trilogy, but Calloway Slater's story was my favorite in the series! It was action-packed, steamy, and entertaining. We get answers to questions we had in the previous books and a few shocking revelations. There's lots of action and the steam is off the charts!
Cal is the only one of his brothers who hasn't found his mate yet. He was quiet and mysterious in the previous books, so I couldn't wait to peel back those layers. I was not disappointed. He is fiercely loyal, calculating, and protective. Once he realizes Romy is his fated mate, he'll stop at nothing to get her.
Romy comes from an elite family who has spent her entire life preparing her for her fated vampire mate. But Romy doesn't take everything at face value like the rest of the girls at the auction. She is strong and has a mind of her own. She is curious, asks questions. Will curiosity kill the cat, or will satisfaction bring it back? You'll have to read to find out!
This was the perfect ending to the series! It was captivating, action-packed, and entertaining from the beginning to the HEA in the end. Cal and Romy were a perfect fit. Romy's character evolved greatly from the beginning of the story. She had a strong backbone and was stronger than she realized. Cal was such a contradiction! There is so much more than what's on the surface. He is tough on the outside, but he is a softy on the inside. This was a great series that I thoroughly enjoyed. I recommend reading this entire series, not just because it's awesome, but also because it greatly enhances your understanding and reading experience. You won't regret it! This is a standalone within a series that ends with a HEA.
Wow what a journey! This series isn’t your Max Monroe books but I loved every second of it. The first two books were entertaining and held your attention while also setting up the story. This third book however was my favorite. In the first two books Cal was very much a side character that we didn’t get much depth from. But his and Romy’s book in my opinion just put the series over the top.
Going into this book I wasn’t sure how I was going to like it since we really didn’t get much from him in the other books aside from his willingness to fill up for his family, which was evident in this book as well, but we got to see the man/vampire that he was. It starts out with Cal being separated from everyone he knows and loves and being forced to partake in a ceremony that he is wholeheartedly against, Throughout the book you can see Cal trying to come up with a plan on how to save his family and get his fated mate.
Romy from the very beginning of the book knew that this was not the fairytale that her parents tried to sell her. She was forced to go to the choosing ceremony to be selected by a vampire within no regard of how she felt, luckily for her she got to run into the most unexpected person, giving her hope that all was not lost.
Wow, I like an enemies to lovers. I loved how in this book we got to see what a fated mate pairing looks like when the couples choose each other and fight for each other. I also liked how we got to see everyone’s happily ever after in conclusion to each storyline.
Overall this book and series was a fun read that keeps you captivated and hooked until the very end. I highly recommend it.

OH MY - this is a fantastic ending to this series!!
It's full of lots of action, dangers, disappointments, impossible choices, and questionable alliances that keep you on the edge of your seat. As we have seen all through this series, when one of the guys finds their fated mates, it's overpowering. When Kane's story ended, the Slater brothers were in trouble and sure of their imminent demise. Fortunately, that wasn't the case, but their "safety" comes at an almost unthinkable price for Calloway. Especially when he finds out who and what is actually driving the events. (If you can't tell - I'm working really hard to avoid spoilers people...hahaha) Finding his mate where he does, and who she turns out to be is a HUGE problem for Cal, and requires him to really dig deep for patience and self-control, so he doesn't take revenge on everyone without a plan. How his plan comes together, and why it's allowed to occur is both heartbreaking and perfectly deserved, and I loved the retribution!
The way these brothers work together and support each other are my favorite parts of this one, and I appreciate how things turned out for Romy and Cal. I did not anticipate many things in this storyline, and it kept me very entertained. I recommend reading in order (a binge is a wonderful idea) to avoid spoilers. Once done here, revisit this author duo's catalog of work for more unforgettable reads. Worth your time, IMO.
I thank the authors for my ARC and happily leave my review.
Demolition Man is book 3 in the Blue-Collar Vigilante Vampires series, I highly recommend you read them in order to understand the characters and storyline. It was a fast read that I binged in a few hours. This series was fun as a whole and entertaining. This one had some nice action scenes and we finally got to see the whole resolution with the Elite Council. I thought the ending was great and it concluded the series well.
I thought this one was the most insta love out of the bunch in the sense that they literally see each other twice and say I love you.. I get it for this type of book and style, but for me it throws me off a little. It's just not realistic to me. This was definitely the relationship I enjoyed the least. What I enjoyed in this one was the action and suspense was very present making it an even faster read. Garbage Man remains my favorite of the series.
Overall, this series as a whole was fun and entertaining. I do feel it lacked development in some parts and the relationships in book 2-3 felt very underdeveloped for my enjoyment. I still think it's a good palate cleanser if you just want something mindless and fun.
What an amazing conclusion to this series! This book gave everything it had in it and left nothing remaining. It was everything I was hoping it would be and more. The way we got to know Calloway after the first two book left him as a mystery to us and then getting to meet his mate, (I mean we all knew we would get to meet her, he wasn’t NOT getting one) Romy, she’s absolutely perfect for him.
This book not only gives us the last brother getting his HEA, but the systematic (actually more like the detonation) of the system they have been living in and how they will rebuild it. This is the best finish of a series to me because it was fast paced with no slow parts, and a full conclusion with what happens afterwards even (which was of course one of the best parts). I love the recap to all the characters we have met through the series and a perfect send off into the sunset for these characters. There’s no real what if or anything here.
I highly recommend this if you are looking for a series that checks the box on all of these things for you and has the following tropes: vampires, fated mates, he saw her first, hidden bloodline, touch her and die, brothers who protect, HEA, fast paced
After the cliffhanger from the last book, the Slater brothers are left with a choice - death or accept their long-lost family. As two of the brothers have mates to look out for, Cal opts for the family, but not to involve his brothers or their mates. The last thing Cal expected to find at the Selection was his fated mate, and to know her from his childhood. Romy knew about vampires from an early age, but never suspected that the Slater brothers, of whom she had had a crush on Cal for the last decade, were vampires. Now with a mate to protect, it is imperative that the Slater brothers take down the elites. So what happens when they find an unlikely ally in their fight?
Cal and Romy get their happy ending in this standalone book in a series.
This book was the perfect end to the trilogy, and the mates that everyone found were perfect for each of the Slater Brothers. I loved how easily Romy accepted that they were fated mates after she had a brief freak-out about Cal being a vampire. The ending of this book was perfect, and I loved that the guys continued with their everyday jobs as well as their new positions. Hopefully, they also relied on their mates to help them make decisions, too, as they seem like level-headed women.
I got an arc! I really liked demolition man! This is Calloway, and Romy’s story. This is the final book of this great series. It starts exactly where the last book left off so they all need to be read in order. This book starts off with them meeting their Uncle Lucian who basically forces Calloway to go to a Vampire auction. It was either go with him, or he and his brother, and there fated mates were dead. What's crazy is when he gets there, and it turns out a childhood friend is his fated mate. Him, and his brothers must proceed to protect their loved ones, and help others and take down the evil Elite Council of Vampires that have been against them since book 1. The connection between these two characters is so good. There is such chemistry between them. It was like instantly they knew they were right for each other. It turns out Romy had a crush on Calloway when they attended school together as young children. Calloway is the youngest of the bunch. He officially began to really understand what was going on with his brothers, and it clicked. The connection between these two are so dynamite, and they work together perfectly to save everyone from the evil Elite council, and some good comes out of it. I really liked it highly recommend.
This was such a fun series, and I loved how this book wrapped everything up, while also not sacrificing Cal’s story at all. This series felt like a cute, classic romance style, with the covers, the plot lines, and just overall the feel. For this book, we head to the Elite headquarters after the brothers are found, and now Cal is working on saving the girls from the inside with the plan to burn it all down, then finds his mate, and his plan becomes so much more important. Romy and Cal have a history, they’ve known each other for years, and can’t believe their luck when they find out they are mates.
I loved that each of these three books felt so similar for a lot of reasons, and yet each plot was very unique, each stands out for different reasons and I think that goes to show how cohesive but unique Max Monroe’s writing is, and this series showcases it so well. I don’t want to spoil anything about this plot, but this one you really see the power play between the brothers come to a head, you learn some family secrets, and also just overall get to see a change in their world.
If you are looking for a fun, suspenseful vampire series, give these blue collar vampires a chance!
"Because once destiny ignites, Calloway Slater doesn't surrender. He destroys."
What a great conclusion to the series! Demolition Man is the third and final book in The Blue Collar Vigilante Vampire Series. The series follows three brothers who will stop at nothing to save their fated mates, including risking it all to destroy the system.
I LOVED Calloway’s story! I was already hooked with the first two books in the series Garbage Man and Repo Man and this one was no different! I flew though this book and it DELIVERED!
Tropes: 🖤Quiet but Deadly Hero 🖤Protective Alpha 🖤Fated Mates 🖤He Saw Her First 🖤He’s a Vampire...She’s Human 🖤Secret Auction 🖤Anti-Elite Rebellion 🖤Destroy the System 🖤Superhuman abilities 🖤Childhood Crush
Calloway may be the youngest of the Slater brothers, but he will still do anything he can to protect his older brothers and their fated mates. Together the three brothers decide the only way to stop the Elite and put an end to the auctioning off of women for their bloodlines is to destroy the system. But when a surprise family relative shows up at their door, Calloway is given an ultimatum to either participate in the auction or he and his brothers, along with their mates, will be killed.
Romy Spencer has known her whole life that she was to be sold at auction to the Elite for her bloodline. But unlike the other women she isn’t naive enough to believe it’s going to be a glamorous life. She knows it will ultimately lead to her death. But when she runs into Calloway the first night of the choosing ceremony, her destiny as she knew it changes.
Now that Calloway has found his fated mate, he not only has to rush against the clock to destroy the system before the auction, but he has to find a way to protect Romy and get her out of the hands of the Elite before before time runs out.
Calloway might be my FAVORITE of the Slater Brothers, which was a hard choice because I loved them all. Max Monroe did it again and brought their style that I love so much to Demolition man. It was a fast paced paranormal romance full of comedy, witty banter, suspense, and emotion.
Demolition Man is the third book in The Blue Collar Vigilante Vampire Series. The series needs to be read in order to understand the overall timeline and plot.
Demolition Man wraps up the Blue Collar Vampire trilogy with Calloway and Romy’s story, and it’s a solid, action-filled conclusion. There’s a lot going on—intrigue, danger, and plenty of spice—which kept things moving at a fast pace.
Romy really stood out to me. She was brave, capable, and I loved seeing her step into a bit of a leadership role, especially in her interactions with the other women. Cal, true to his nature, is steady and intense, and fully locked in once the bond hits.
Lucien ended up being more complex than I expected—his true intentions and backstory don’t fully come to light until the very end, which adds a last-minute twist.
Overall, the book does a good job tying up the main storyline while still leaving room for more. The epilogue especially opens the door for future books in this world, which I’d absolutely pick up.
A satisfying ending to the trilogy.

The third and final book in this series depicts Cal and Romy's story. Part three of this series had me hooked. I fought the battles with Cal, Rook, and Kane. I cheered for Romy, Blair, Kylie, Hilary, Abigail, and the rest of the girls. Max Monroe tied this series up nicely. I loved how the connection between Cal and Romy began way before they knew they were fated for each other. You could feel the love between Cal and Romy. These vampires love their women so well that you can feel it through the pages and words. I was so glad to see that Lucien was their uncle and a truly good guy. It is good to see that The Council will now be in good hands and that positive changes are going to take place in the vampire world. Thank you for including epilogues for all three brothers. It was so sweet reading about the births of their first born and the names each of them was given. Again, I am not a fan of vampire, paranormal, etc.., but I did enjoy these three books and would gladly read them again. What an ending!! Bravo!

🔥HAPPY RELEASE DAY!🔥Demolition Man by @authormaxmonroe
ARC Review: Demolition Man Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Spice: 🌶️🌶️
Max Monroe turned up the chaos with this one—in the best way! A couple of surprising twists in this one, and I was here for it!
Calloway Slater is quiet, controlled, and absolutely lethal, but the second Romy enters the picture, all bets are off. Their bond hits fast, but it feels inevitable, and his whole “burn it all down for her” energy delivers.
The auction setting added a great layer of tension, with danger coming from every angle and the ongoing family and council drama keeping the stakes high. It gave the romance something solid to push against. Romy held her own too, which made their dynamic feel balanced despite Cal’s intense protectiveness.
This was fast-paced, addictive, and packed with action and devotion. Definitely a must if you’re following the Slater brothers! Includes an HEA for all couples!
Thank you to @authormaxmonroe for sending me an ARC to review!
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by the authors)...
This is Calloway and Romy’s book.
I liked Romy, she had been groomed for that terrible auction like Blair, but unlike Blair, she knew the reality of what came afterward and it wasn’t happily ever after. Her mother believes otherwise, but there is nothing Romy can do, luckily for her she bumps into Cal on the first day of the auction, she has history with the Slater family, specifically Cal they went to school together. Cal and his brothers are trying to bring down this terrible unction and society and things re not going too well when he bumps into Romy and everything shifts for him; he now’s understands what his brothers meant when they met their mates.
Everything is different for Cal, it was important before, but it’s life or death with his mate on the line. I liked that Cal and Romy had a past connection it made their mating feel a bit more deeper. With all that was going on, I don’t want to reveal too much, but it was nice ending to a good series.
This is the third book in the Vampire series. Cal and his brothers unexpectedly and concerningly meet an uncle who they haven't known about before. All three brothers had the same mother, but three different fathers. The two older brothers have found their fated mates. Cal, the youngest, has been invited by his uncle to the big event where elite vampires bid on human girls with special blood lines.
Cal and his brothers are vehemently opposed to this event, but the uncle allows no dissent. Cal will participate, but his brothers will be there, with their mates, in secrecy. Cal immediately gets recognized by a former schoolmate who is one of the girls up for bid. The elite vampires are aware of Cal and his brothers and are not pleased that this blue collar vampire has been invited into their midst.
This is the conclusion of the series and the reader should read the first two books first, and in order.
Thanks to Max Monroe for access to an early version of the e-book.
The third and final book in the series. Calloway Slater is the youngest of the Slater brothers. When their uncle comes knocking on their hideout Calloway agrees to go to the auction to not only put an end to this barbaric ritual but also save the lives of his brothers and their mates. Now he is walking around and notices a woman that seems to be familiar. Romy Spencer. An old school friend who had the biggest crush on Romy. Their friendship was strong in school and now Calloway has felt the Click of his mate in Romy. The draw between them is so strong that Calloway is climbing in her window so he can just talk to her. They know they are fated so they MATE to stop her from being auctioned off. Now this upsets the Elites and its all out war. Will the Slater brothers wipe out this auction so the blood of 3 doesn't get wiped out? I can't tell you that. Just read the series. You won't be disappointed. Bravo Max Monroe on your first Vampire Series.
I don’t think I’ve ever read a series so quickly! Max Monroe can literally write anything, and I’m here for it all!!
M&M brought us back from that cliff edge they left us on in book 2, and hit the ground running. Not sure exactly what their Uncle Lucian is up to, but he doesn’t give Calloway much of a choice. Now he finds himself in the middle of the “selection” weekend and imagine his surprise when he feels that pull and then sees who’s causing it.
Romy is not one to go quietly, she is resigned to be a part of the “selection” even if she is against everything it represents. When she feels that pull, and sees a blast from her past everything changes.
M&M absolutely killed it with this series, it fun, filled with action, heart and the perfect amount of heat! Read them all, step out of your comfort zone and read them all!
The Blue Collar Vigilante series continues with the third of three brothers who find love while fighting against the powers that be. Each book continues the story so while each book is one couple's, the underlying plot moves through each book. Thankfully, they are all coming out within a short period of each other so you should be able to maintain your momentum without interruption.
Cal has a job as a mechanic and demolition man when he is not fighting the Elite. In the last book of the series, Cal and his brothers are pulled in the Elite orbit where he reconnects with Romy who he was friends with as a child. Romy has been raised knowing what was expected of her but she is cynical about the promises she has been given. As they say, if it sounds to good to be true...
Cal's reconnection with Romy adds to his incentive to finish this battle with the Elite and get his family out of danger.
The wild ride started with Garbage Man, continued through Repo Man and you will not be disappointed at its conclusion here.
*An advance reader copy was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.*
You must read these books in order to fully grasp the stakes of the finale.
This book follows the youngest brother, Calloway, and Romy, a woman who, much like Blaire, was raised knowing the vampires' secret. However, the similarity ends there; Romy knows the human auction system is wrong and refuses to accept a fate she never chose.
Fighting alongside his brothers and their partners, and backed by an unexpected alliance, Calloway leads us through a story filled with danger, action, and intrigue.
While the paranormal world is not something that we, Max Monroe's fans are typically used to, it is ultimately an entertaining and fast-paced read that brings the Slater brothers' journey to a satisfying conclusion.
Well the series is complete and as always Max Monroe did not miss a beat! Although this isn't their usual genre this series was fun and exciting in an all new way, and yet comfortably familiar too. Cal who has been strong, stoic, and somewhat silent is about to make some noise as he sets out to demolish the elite vampire society. Of course he isn't happy he is all but being forced to participate in an auction by his Uncle, but if that's what he needs to do to keep his family safe so be it. He also meet his strongest supporter at the auction. Romy our heroine is my favorite of the series, she's been groomed for the vampires her whole life but unlike many others she hasn't been blinded by the sparkly things they've all been promised she knows things aren't what the seem. When Cal and Romy connect at the auction you know things are about to get real. This was a great ending to the series and I couldn't have been happier that these two characters were in this together making bond a different read then Cal's brothers. So get ready for explosive fun, steamy connections, plenty of things to demolish along the way and a well fought for HEA. I have voluntarily left this review.
Calloway is the youngest sibling and the only one who hasn’t found his fated mate and now he is thrown into the world he hates. What he doesn’t expect is finding his mate and the fact that he already knows her.
I love Romy. Her parents prepared her for the Elite for her entire life, yet it isn’t something that she wants. The second she sees Calloway she recognizes him from her childhood and is drawn to him. These two have a connection and are fated mates. They have a bond that is special. I love the two of them together, I love Romy’s strength throughout the process and her trust in Cal.
This was the perfect wrap up to the series and the Slater brothers. They all found their mates and find their happily ever afters.
If you’re looking for a fated mates, vampire/human, childhood crush romance check this one out, but you must read the first two books in the series first.
