Reading this felt like sitting down with a friend to hear of God’s continued faithfulness in her life.

I originally read the intro and first chapter of this to prep for a YouTube book mail video. I couldn’t get those first few pages out of my mind and decided to continue reading a few days later.

The Daily Grace Co’s founder, Kristin Schmucker, tells the testimony of God’s faithfulness and daily grace in her life throughout the pages of this book. It is real and raw and filled with daily grace. To use her own words “I don’t feel like an expert, unless the expert you’re looking for is an expert in weakness.” All throughout scripture we see God use humanity’s weakness for His glory and Kristin has done just that with this beautiful and raw look into how God has met her time and time again.

I’ve been anticipating this memoir for a long time, and it did not disappoint- though readers should be aware that it deals heavily with the subject of stillbirth. My experience of loss is different from Kristin’s, but I still resonated deeply with the grief conveyed in these pages. Those dark days of wondering how in the world you can keep living with agonizing pain are still fresh in my mind.

But as Kristin says so beautifully, “For every question I ask, You answer with Yourself.” I wish I had this book when I felt isolated and brokenhearted after my miscarriage in 2023.
