Fitzwilliam and Elizabeth Darcy have been married for a year. The initial tender intimacies of marriage have matured into something that is definitely more kink, than vanilla.
Suddenly they face yet another scandal caused by Elizabeth's family.
The loud, vulgar Mrs Bennet and the vacuous Kitty, descend on Pemberley as uninvited guests. They are running from something, but won't admit the details.
Darcy is trying hard to protect the family from threats of violence and ruined reputation.
He retreats from Elizabeth, slipping into old patterns of behaviour.
The intrigue is suitably engaging and unpredictable.
The intimacy is erotic, explicit and includes novel uses for a hairbrush!

I have mixed feelings about this one.
First off, the writing and style I liked. The through story I liked more and more as I read and the tension between ODC (is anyone surprised that they had issues with assumptions and communication?) and the Darcys and the Bennet women were believable and well played.
The things that didn't sit quite as well - I found myself skimming the first few chapters. I have read plenty of racy JAFF and in principle do not object, but I found these a little jarring in the transitions. Perhaps because ODC was NOT very OOC in the tame scenes in line with my head canon that I had a hard time integrating those two views. It's likely just a failure of imagination on my part because I don;t think that I would have that issue if they were not cast as ODC. YRMV.

Great! full of spice and engaging story-line.
Well written. The spicy bits are good, playful and perfectly in character. Loved how Darcy suppressed some of his darker fantasies, even thou I would love to read how those would play out. The conclusion of the main plot was somewhat surprising and the comeuppance satisfying.

It's been a long time since I read an adaptaron of two of my absolute favorite characters and it's a hit or miss when I do. With this one, I wasn't disappointed. I felt like I was really following Lizzy and Darcy, with a lot of appreciated heat! I can't wait to read more from this author.

Well done! If you like some spice
In your variations, you will love this book. It's the perfect amount to make a nice change from the more tame stories. There is no overuse of the same old phrases. No excess of nasty words.
But that's not all! The temporary relief from being in charge is explored in a very loving way. It explains this dynamic of bandage in the bedroom in a non judgmental way. There is a mystery to solve. There are tense situations. It has it all!

I didn't do it for me
I can't really place m.y finger in why this was not a great book. The romance was not steamy, it came off pornish. The mystery storyline was interesting but was kinda meh at the same time. It didn't feel real...I think that was it. First time reading this author and i was not pulled in.

Spicy good
Great story. Lots of twists and turns. The spicy sex played an important roll in how our couple dealt with life. Enjoyed.
