Everything that falls into his ocean belongs to him. Including me.
They threw me out of an airlock. I crashed on a world made of nothing but ocean with no rescue and no hope.
Then something ancient rose from the deep.
Ishka is massive. Tentacled. He speaks inside my mind, and he doesn't ask permission. He healed my shattered bones. Gave me gills to breathe in his world. Keeps me like I was something precious.
He says I'm his. That nothing enters his ocean and leaves.
I should hate what he does to me. But when he takes me, it doesn't feel like captivity.
It feels like the safest place I've ever been.
Property of the Leviathan is a gay sci-fi monster romance with hurt/comfort, telepathic bonds, and a possessive tentacle alien who knows exactly what to do. HEA guaranteed.
I hope this was “written” by AI, because then the plot holes would almost be excusable. I’d rather a person be guilty of laziness, than the crime of composing this drek and actually thinking it was publishable. For starters, the airlock scene was wholly unbelievable. The human body doesn’t work like that! Physics doesn’t work like that! The cargo hold is depressurizing. Everything is being sucked into space. But the guy’s lover uncouples his boots from the flooring, flies through the air in his direction, doesn’t get ripped out into space, and manages to have enough power in his legs to break his hand? And come to think of it, weren’t they floating when they broke atmo? This ship didn’t have any gravity to begin with! But worse, his companions planned things out to the point that one of them was suited up in a pressure suit, but they couldn’t figure out a way to kill him without tossing out their cargo?! They couldn’t get him drunk and vent him from an airlock?! Moving on…the pirates and the other prisoner were just a convenient device to deliver information about the meat market, not because it was relevant to THIS story, but because the “author” was planning a series. The reason this is so short is because the only part that mattered was the sex scene. Character development? Clear motivations? Logical plot? They were all tossed out the airlock alongside the cargo, apparently. So if the whole point is a steamy, kinky sex scene, could you at least manage to write THAT well? No? Why am I not surprised?
The story would actually be quite interesting if it weren't used as a setup for the porn, but if they had just fleshed it out a bit more. But alas, as it is, it's just a half-baked attempt at world-building that might make me want to read more sci-fi gay books.
It was ofc, VERY fast paced, we need to get to the porn ofc. The porn was mediocre, but it had kinks I didn't expect Amazon to allow. That was a nice surprise. But... it wasn't exactly well-written either.
Also the covers are VERY sus *coughAIcough*, but ... you don't find a lot of monsterfucking-porn on KU, so i will read the rest too *shrug*
3.25⭐️ After stealing a spaceship to escape an alien planet, our main character is betrayed by his friends and ends up on a watery planet where he meets the Leviathan— a huge, tentacled monster that wants him for himself.
This is a very short novella, and it doesn’t have a lot of development. I found it entertaining, but I felt like so much more could have been done with the interesting premise.
This is good for a fun, quick, and easy monster f*cker story.
I think this novella had great potential and I wish there was more. The world building on the water planet was incredible. I’ll admit I started this book, got bored, then skimmed until the MC ended up splashing down on the water planet. Then the story got much more interesting. The plot and characters were so-so, the world building phenomenal, and the spicy bits were so good 🌶️
Novellas can be tricky- there is an art to writing one that feels complete, and this one didn’t. The emotions of the human MC and inner dialogue are the most prominent part of the book, followed by world building and then plot. Was it a bad story? No. I loved the world the author created, underwater civilizations are one of my favorite types of literary worlds and you usually don’t see them outside of YA pick-me girl UF books.
This feels like a plot bunny, a writing exercise, or just an excuse to write tentacle p*rn (yes please!), and this novella could be picked apart and used as bones for a 300+ page book. The author truly missed out on the opportunity to turn this into something amazing. The plot needs work, the characters need depth, but there is so much here. I’ve seen authors pick up a novella and turn it into a full length book and I would love to see that.
Some people are saying they thought this was written by AI and I’m not sure with how rich the descriptions are, although with the weak plot I can see what they are talking about.
I fell for the cover. I wanted monster peen, got more than I expected and caught unexpected feels. Loved all the scifi aspects, the water world, even if our human MC, Cyrion, didn't have much of a personality.
(Spoilers ahead) The beginning of the story is weak, but includes betrayal, capture by pirates, and sale by slavers. The story really shines when Ishkar appears (chapter 6 is his ship, chapter 7 is the Leviathan himself). There's no credible explanation for why our alien love interest, Ishkar, would travel across space to get Cyrion back, but he is awesome. I wanted his POV but the book is solely from Cyrion's perspective. There is one spicy scene that's pretty mind blowing. It has the expected tentacle action but it probably features the best knotting and inflation I've ever read. I loved Cyrion's feelings of healing, acceptance and love, though there are no heartfelt declarations from either male. The book ends very quickly after the spicy scene :( I'm going to try some of the later books on the series.
I've read my share of short stories and this one was good. No fluff, straight to the point. Though it could've easily have been a longer story but understand not every story needs to be complicated, filled with angst and miscommunication. Which most stories are film of lately. We have that in our everyday life, I don't need every book I pick up to be about....everyday life and it's hardships.
This gave just enough to be interesting but not overwhelming. It was a quick read, we got our HEA, but if Morrigan wanted to give us another snippet into Ishka and Cyrion world, hint 😉 hint, I'd dive into that.
What in the ever loving world did I just finish!!! Okaaaaay it was shooort like soooo short but ... Fulfilling?? In a weird way if I may say so... Well there were feelings, although with a pretty much nonexistent plot or okay let's say barely existing plot ... Not to be cruel here okay since I think I liked this... I thinnnnk ..... I believe I liked it ...some deranged unhinged part inside of me did haha. But okaaaaaay just give it a go it's good ....really. Nd to be fair it's still stewing in me .. I mean the emotions !! It's weird I've never had this whirlwind of feelings. Like ever while not being sure what exactly I've done.........
I don’t really know how to rate this book if I’m being honest. Plot holes aside, this is kind of a guilty pleasure read for me. Sometimes you just need something silly and out there to read in between the heavy and emotional reads, you know.
In saying that, I actually really enjoyed the writing. A very short read though. I wish there were a few more chapters. Also, I really want to know what happened to Ronan. ☹️
Ugh fuck let this be the reminder when this author shows up in my Rec list - I always think they’re a NTM author but THEY’RE NOT I DON’T READ THEM BC A REASON 👀 & I AM SO MAD IT ALMOST GOT ME AGAIN.
for reference - the cover - the facts: there is no illustrator credited in their copyright page, no formatting or editor - this is the second time I’ve almost been duped so putting this on. Frigin. Record.
This was a good, quick read. Not a lot of detail was given on the alien MMC. His appearance is described but besides that we don’t have any details on what he wants with the human MMC besides spicy times. This series skirts the line between consent and SA, so if that’s a trigger, please beware. Overall, it was good but forgettable read. Perfect to get you out of a reading slump but easy to forget.
What a fantastic find! It's like every craving is satisfied. It's deep and dark and delicious!😋 This tale takes you on a journey of discovery in a sweet and sexy way. The MC's are compelling and so well written. Makes you want gills so you can submerge to find your very own leviathan. MmMm good!😁 I absolutely loved this...highly recommended!!!😘
You know when you read a book with 50k-80k words and you fight to finish it only to reach the end and realize it should have been 10k-20k words instead?
That's not this book. This book is only 68 pages and I don't even know if it reaches 10k words. But it was so good I wanted it to be longer. I wanted it to be 80k+ words.
It would have been better if it was longer, so we learnt more about the leviathan's home and culture.
And also why did they throw him out of the ship? That was pointless, i mean they could have easily just dumped him on the first random planet they came to with people on it, instead of wasting half their cargo. I too hope that their stolen ship crashed into an asteroid, they'd deserve it

This was…I’m not going to lie…it was sooo much more than I expected and I’m mad it’s not longer. I wanted to see those two fall out of space for what they did to him. And Ishka is a DREAM come true. He did it Mom!!!! He’s loving the life you wanted for him! But I definitely need a book two!
The story itself was good. There was good details and character development for it being a short book. The only thing that is not my usual read is the MM trope but I needed a MM trope for my book group.

It was very good. It’s well written and gives us a good short adventure. I wish we had more time with them together and got a few more answers, but it’s good overall.
Um okay woah, this really worked for me. How was there so much going on in so few pages? Obviously, I want more. Like hundreds more pages. You’d better be okay with tentacles, but even if you’re not, worth it tbh.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dude I was so locked in until the “romance.” The storytelling was fantastic. Bro it was betrayal and high stakes and agony and then a lackluster 10 pages of “romance.” Whatever I guess I could’ve expected that.
Nicknames: little one Location: alien water planet
I agree with a lot of others that I would love more of this story. That being said, it was beautiful. I just hope that the author brings us back to that beautiful planet sometime.
I've read short stories before that I enjoyed even if they left me wanting more. This one? Ugh, wasn't even half-baked - it's like someone put it in the oven to heat but didn't even remember to turn the oven on. But hey, there was stuff in the oven so I gave it an extra star for having ingredients.
Barely worth reading it’s so short. Most of the story is him moving from point a to point b. Also plenty of grammatical errors even in a work so short.
I absolutely loved this First story. As an avid reader of this genre, I placed a lot of importance into the sex scenes especially the FIRST one and this book didn't disappoint.😊
This was honestly a novella I couldn't put down. To pack that much story and character into 71 pages takes talent. I simply wish the story was longer. I'll definitely jump into the next book.
I mean. It’s about what I expected. They call this PWP in fanfic world lol. Could’ve done without all the setup, tbh, since none of it was really useful except to give us the character’s “background” and even that wasn’t particularly believable lol.
This was a super short read but honestly I loved the realistic truth of acceptance. Of understanding. I really hope there's an eventual sequel because I have questions that need answers!
