Knotted and Betrayed by the Alphahole

Rate this book
Liam doesn’t believe in fate—until his body chooses his mate… days after his engagement.

LIAM

I am the rational brother. I don’t make mistakes, and I don’t leave anything to chance. I planned my life down to the a strategic position in the family empire, a stable Beta fiancée, and an engagement party to cement a future built on logic, not biology. Love and fate are liabilities I refuse to indulge.

But when a logistical error with the centerpiece orders forces me to personally visit a local florist, my meticulously organized reality is blown apart. One breath of her scent destroys thirty-three years of ironclad logic. I didn't just meet my fated mate—I lost control and knotted her during our very first encounter.

STAR

I thought I had finally found my alpha. When the intense, striking man walked into Star Brite Flowers, my biology recognized him instantly. He claimed me, consumed me, and made me believe I was his entirely.

Then I found out the devastating the flowers he was ordering were for his own engagement party. To someone else.

Devastated and feeling like nothing more than a biological mistake, I do the only thing I can—I run. I leave my shop, my life, and my shattered trust behind.

But Liam Vaughn is a man who fixes errors. And he is about to learn that the only way to claim the omega his body chose is to completely dismantle the safe, predictable life his mind planned.

Meh.. felt a little like ai( or at the very least ai assisted). The alpha wasn’t really an alphahole more like a lying by omission scaredy cat beta.

He was promised to another, until his body chose her.

The Elevator Pitch: A guarded alpha walks into a flower shop with a plan for his future, only to have fate answer through the omega he was never supposed to touch. Their bond is instant, consuming, and impossible to ignore, but the life he built before her turns desire into betrayal. To reach each other again, they’ll have to decide whether biology is enough, or whether love only matters when it’s chosen.

Heat Level: 🔥🔥🔥 Ultra-Steamy / Erotic Romance

Liam Vaughn is the definition of a control freak. His life is meticulously planned down to the last second, and there is absolutely no chance he’s going to let it be derailed by an Omega the way his brothers did. After getting a glimpse of his grand life plan at the end of Knotted by the Alphahole Enemy, I was dying to see what fate had lined up for him and it did not disappoint. A simple mix-up with the floral arrangements for his engagement party forces Liam to make a personal trip to a local florist, never realizing that walking through that door was about to turn his entire world upside down. Star may run her own business, but beneath her independence is a hopeless romantic. Raised by parents whose love story still inspires her, she believes wholeheartedly in true love, fated mates, and the idea that somewhere out there is the one. So, when Liam walks into her shop at the exact moment she goes into heat... well, you could say the stars aligned. (And honestly, with a name like Star, that feels almost prophetic.) But this is where things get messy and where both of them make mistakes. Liam never tells Star that he’s already engaged, which is obviously a massive omission. At the same time, he never actually promises her anything beyond helping her through her heat. Star, on the other hand, is convinced she’s found her soulmate. She hears Liam’s warnings, but falls for him anyway, all wide-eyed hope and innocence. You can see the heartbreak coming from a mile away. So yes, I completely understood Star’s sense of betrayal when Liam walked away, but at the same time, it felt almost inevitable. Liam had made it clear there was no future for them. Of course, if that had been the end of it, this would’ve been a very short story... and a tragedy rather than a romance. But this is the Omegaverse, and fated mates are practically sacred... right? While Liam spends a lot of time doing some much-needed soul-searching, Star does what she feels she has to and runs, leaving everything behind. I’ll admit, I love a good dose of angst when I know there’s a happy ending coming, and both Liam and Star delivered on that front. That said, my biggest frustration was the miniscule amount of groveling once Liam and Star reunited. After everything that happened, I wanted so much more from him. Instead, it almost felt like he blamed Star for running away, especially when he assumed she was in another man’s home. His jealousy felt incredibly hypocritical considering he was the one who was secretly engaged and he was the one who walked away. What I really appreciated, though, was the fresh take on the Alpha/Omega dynamic. Unlike the previous two Omegas, who were both fighting for independence and equality in their own ways, Star fully embraces the more traditional Omega role, she’s just been waiting for the right Alpha to claim her. And perhaps what I loved most of all? This time, it was the Alpha who had to completely dismantle and rebuild his carefully constructed life in order to win his mate back. And honestly... that felt incredibly gratifying.

Tropes: Cheating, Fated Mates, Rejection, Second Chance,

Knotted and Betrayed by the Alphahole is the third book in Amara Bonds’ Rejected Mates Omegaverse Series. While a bit shorter than the first two books, Liam and Star’s journey is just as intense as the other two stories.
Each of the Vaughan brothers has handled their denial of their destiny in different ways. Trying to be proactive, Liam has decided to dictate his own fate. He, ever the stoic businessman, has selected a Beta, who is a business associate, as his mate. This maneuver will ensure that his holdings flourish while his mating doesn’t potentially destroy him like his father, win, win!
Star knows what a loving and successful mating looks like; she wants nothing less than what her parents enjoy, so she waits for her own prince charming. When Liam enters her store as a customer, their bond is unmistakable and fierce. Star is sure that she has found her true love, but what will happen when she realizes that Liam has no intention of honoring their connection and he simply walks away?

Conclusion:
Liam does walk away; however, there is nothing simple or easy about his decision. He thinks he is doing the honorable thing but to Star it appears to be the vilest of rejections. He soon learns that there is no existence where he can live without his mate, his only recourse is to explain his reasoning and grovel. Readers can understand Star’s extreme anguish and her reluctance to place her heart and soul in Liam’s keeping. In my very humble opinion, Liam did not grovel hard enough (there should have been some snot involved😊).

Final words, this book is another little gem from Ms. Bonds, quick, enjoyable and tautly plotted; we did not get many sightings from the other brothers (Hunter and Grayson are most likely busy) but I imagine that easy-going Roan will be a fun story to read!

Favorite Lines:
"I'm so embarrassed to know you sometimes."
"Don't." The word comes out flat. "Don't sell me your father story again."
As bad as it is, it’s so much worse knowing my mate could be here but chose someone else.

If you love quick, steamy omegaverse reads that completely pull you in, this one delivers. What starts as a simple “I’ll read a chapter” turns into inhaling the entire book in one sitting. The pacing is fast, addictive, and satisfying, with just the right amount of heat balanced by genuine emotional payoff.

Star was such an easy heroine to root for. Her heartbreak felt real, especially after discovering Liam’s devastating secret, and I appreciated that she didn’t simply forgive him immediately. She knew her worth, even while hurting, and that made her character stand out. Liam, meanwhile, spends the story learning that logic and control can’t fix everything instantly. Watching him unravel, regret his choices, and genuinely work to earn Star’s trust made the romance far more satisfying.

The dual POV worked really well here, giving both emotional vulnerability and intense chemistry. The scent-match/fated mates dynamic was deliciously dramatic, and the intimate scenes were incredibly steamy without overshadowing the emotional core of the story.

It’s a short, fast-paced read, but it still manages to pack in angst, heat, groveling, and a satisfying emotional arc. The ending felt a little abrupt, but overall this was an addictive, well-written romance that left me wanting more from this world.

Knot your ordinary Alpha/Omega book

This is the third book in this series and in my estimation the best written storyline yet. Amara Bonds started the series with the typical A/O structure. Alpha meets Omega, alpha is pushy and obnoxious, alpha takes what he wants while the omega mysteriously falls in love. This is NOT that storyline. Without giving the whole book away, let me highlight a few things that made Liam and Star's a greater story than Graysons.

To start with, Star has a personality and dreams. She is a main character in her own story. This is something that Amara is getting better at developing. Star interacts with others, not a part of the series thus far, humanizing the fmc giving her depth...and a backbone. Another notable change to the series is the evolution of the mmc. We were able to see vulnerability and pain, not just from the female perspective. My favorite piece of this story was the glass slipper. It shows that Liam was able to understand not only Star's needs but his own limitations to growth in some meaningful ways.

The real world is messy and the average reader does so to escape it. But give us an unrealistic story line and/or character and you fail the brief. With the way Amara is growing in instincts and abilities, I can not wait for Roans turn!

If you are looking for a high-intensity shift into the fated mates trope where meticulous planning is utterly decimated by biology, Knotted and Betrayed by the Alphahole is a gripping, high-heat read. The story centers on Liam Vaughn, a man who prides himself on being the "rational brother." Having mapped out his entire life—including a strategic engagement to a stable Beta—his world is thrown into chaos by a simple logistical error. A trip to a local florist leads him to Star, and in one breath of her scent, thirty-three years of ironclad logic are replaced by an uncontrollable primal need.

The emotional core of the novel lies in the devastating betrayal Star feels. After an intense, soul-deep encounter where she believes she has finally found her Alpha, she discovers the brutal truth: the man who just claimed her was ordering flowers for his own engagement party to someone else. Bonds masterfully handles the hate-to-obsessed transition as Star flees her life in heartbreak and Liam realizes that "fixing the error" requires more than just logic—it requires him to dismantle his safe, predictable empire to win back the Omega his body chose. It is a raw, possessive, and ultra-intense story of fate overhauling a life built on strategy.

Star and Liam . . .

Liam Vaughn considers himself a highly rational man whose meticulous planning leaves no room for mistakes. His planning has made him the success that he is. He even arranged for a Beta fiancée to firm up his future with no thought of biology, love, or fate interfering with his decision. So when an error occurs with the centerpiece orders for his engagement party, he will confront the florist face-to-face to make it right. However, even Liam's logical approach to life could not predict or ignore the out-of-control biological response when he meets his Fated mate and shatters the omega's lifelong fantasy of a gentle loving claiming, instead unleashing his wild dominance as she urges him on. He takes full control of Star's body and makes her his! When Star finally can think again and realizes this customer is the groom in the upcoming party she is preparing to decorate, she panics and runs from him in shame and embarrassment, feeling like she was just a bad mistake. Will he actually let her go and move on with his rigidly planned-out life? Or will he realize that his body has chosen its mate and his life will be chaotically and permanently scrambled... but only if he will change his ways and work to gain her forgiveness?

KNOTTED AND BETRAYED BY THE ALPHAHOLE is the third book in the Knotted by the Alphahole series, and tells Liam and Star's story.

Liam has seen two of his brothers fall for omegas now, but he has a different plan. He has a fiancée, all neatly tied in with a merger. He refuses to let pesky hormones or emotions ruin his life. That all works okay until he walks into Star's flower shop and all hell breaks loose.

This is my least favourite of the three, as Liam really is an a$$hole. Grayson and Hunter were, too, in their own way, but Liam was by far the worst. I really felt sorry for Star and what he put her through. There is a warning saying there is a grovelling at the beginning, but honestly? There wasn't enough!

A good book that I enjoyed, just not as much as the others.

4.25 stars. This short story is dual POV, well written and edited, and a fast-paced, fated mates/scent match, contemporary omegaverse erotic romance between Star, the female omega florist lead, and Liam, the male alpha business owner lead, engaged to a beta and who abandons Star after initially bonding. I empathised with Star’s distress and appreciated her self-awareness that caused her to leave her known location. I enjoyed that she was not willing to accept Liam’s return at face value. I enjoyed Liam’s pain in Star’s absence, and enjoyed his recognition that Star deserved sincere and repeated apologies. I enjoyed the erotic intimate scenes. I enjoyed Star’s re-iteration that intimacy did not equal trust and that Liam needed to atone. I found the ending somewhat abrupt but mostly settled.

This short read kept you turning the pages! A nice read during your lunchbreak. Chemistry plays a large part in the Omega world. Once you smell your Omega or Alpha your body only what's them. The first 2 books help you understand this family so much better. But you can read this as a stand alone. One smell is all it took for them to know. She had a vision a dream of her alpha. He had bad memories and a merger to complete. I liked how she did not just give into him. She fought for herself and not fate not chemistry. She did what she needed to do for herself. He was an Alphahole for sure . His explanations were only half truths. I was happy she called his BS.
This story was really good. The whole series has been.

I have to say that Amara Bonds has become one my favorite authors, and before her I wasn’t into this trope. I read the other two books in this series, but you don’t need to read them to enjoy this book. The FMC, Star has been waiting her whole life for her mate. The MMC Liam is set on never becoming “weak” in his eyes by being with his mate. This was the first book where I really did feel the MMC was an A- hole. He rejected Star and made her feel “less than” in the worst way possible. The drama was real and I’m glad Star didn’t make it easy on Liam, even if it meant physical pain for herself. This book had instalove, 🔥, drama, and a HEA. I highly recommend this book.

Book 3 of Knotted by the Alphahole. Can be read as a standalone.

'But Liam Vaughn is a man who fixes errors. And he is about to learn that the only way to claim the omega his body chose is to completely dismantle the safe, predictable life his mind planned.'

Ooooh, groveling! )

The characters were very complex and complicated and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and exciting and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. Another great addition to the series. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

Liam, our seemingly together “Mr. Rationality” thought he had everything in life planned out. Boy was he wrong. All it took was one wild night with Star and he was hooked beyond reason. Chemistry, cheating and emotional turmoil fuel this book.

This book has a lot of internal struggle with Liam wanting to be in control of everything and his connection with Star. I really enjoyed reading Star’s pov as she dealt with feeling like second choice after finding out he was engaged. She even walked away from him which made her stronger than just your typical romantic lead.

This was one of my favorite in the series. The first was great and this was a very close to being better than that one. The one draw back with this one is that I wish it was a little longer or even had an epilogue so that we can see how their story is going. I had gotten used to them being around the table at the end to follow-up with the family. I didn’t realize how much of that little bit of information I enjoyed.

Short quick read. Biology rules this one in the beginning. The Alpha was an ass … before … and after and honestly in the coherent moments during their first 4 days.

I honestly do not think there was enough groveling … as in yet again biology lead the way.

Well written though .. and many will completely enjoy this read .

Liam & Star

This was a short & sweet read.
Liam & Star met on an off chance that they both did not think really meant anything.
Until the mate bond hit.
Things take a turn as Liam had some prior arrangements to take care of. Star ditches the city, Liam turns into a crazy A*hole, finds
Star, kisses her butt and the rest … is forever.

Totally worth the read.

This felt incomplete. Star meets Liam when he comes in to her flower shop about an issue with his order. Her heat starts, things happen, she realizes he’s engaged and runs. He finds her, they get back together rather quickly and the story ends. There wasn’t much substance and then it ended abruptly with weak resolution. Told from dual POV, it was okay but needed a bit more.

This was almost exactly what I thought it would be, except I expected Liam to fight it a little harder. I wouldn’t call what he did groveling so much as using her biology against her and then giving a very good speech. But there is something about that, that speaks to the Alphahole nature of him. To all the brothers really. Roan’s story is going to be interesting and I’m just as excited for it as I have been for this entire series.

Out of all the books in series this one has been my least favorite. To me the story line seemed a bit rushed and over exaggerated. I was happy that Liam and Star was able to move past there problems to find their happy ending. Despite this not being my favorite I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Liam should have known from his other brothers that he would lose the battle to resist his Omega.

Liam and Star's relationship hits momentum early after first meeting. I enjoyed their tension. I enjoyed Star's backbone and standing up to Liam and his a-hole tendencies. Very enjoyable quick read.

Ughhh....I felt for Star. Finding her mate wasn't what she probably hoped it would be. She really had to hang in there.

Liam had me giving him side-eye extremely hard most of the time. However, he came through in the end. Barely!

A quick in and out read.

Yeah, Liam definitely pissed me off initially with his internal battle. I love a little groveling, and he deserved all of it. It was good to see him find his way forward after the pain that he and his brothers harbored because of their father's unresolved grief.

Liam and Star

I am enjoying the Knotted by the Alpha series. I especially love how these
a$$whole Alphas try to deny the pull that the Omegas has on them.
Liam was so determined not to be like his father that he was willing to enter into a contractual marriage to avoid it. That was until he met Star.
You will enjoy this short story. 😊

Great Story!❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

What a great story! I really enjoyed it. Loved the MCs, and how the MMC handled his whole situation, and he’s was so resolute in his decision knowing it was going to cost him big time monetarily, but you can’t put a price on a soulmate, and he was not ever going to lose! What a good book!❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Loved the Book

Better than the previous one as I liked the type of action more. So maybe just better to me cause of that. Full of the action, it went so fast-like a jet airplane. Could not avoid the crash of the end happening. Lucky me the next, lightly connected story comes out in 3 days!!! It’s about a different brother. Don’t miss these books!

Star's story is one of waiting for her fairytale only for it to be thrown in her face. Liam has lived a life of regiment and structure, no omega will dictate his life. Their bond forms and he runs. They both have to come to terms with the facets of their past that affect their future.
