Retribution: A dark romantic thriller

Rate this book
A dark mafia enemies-to-lovers romance featuring a ruthless, morally gray king and a heroine who won’t bow.
Welcome to The Diamond Dynasty.

Protect her. Seduce her. Marry her.
That was the mission.
Not my choice.
I’m just a piece on my father’s chessboard—playing a game where losing means that I win.
Refuse, and I face his wrath.
Comply, and I chain myself to a woman I’ve never met.

Then I met her.
Tiffany Zaferelli.
A novice nun.
Stubborn. Righteous. Infuriating.
A cross I’m forced to carry.

She challenges everything—my control, my patience, and the darkness I keep buried.
For a man who’s built his life on power, she’s gasoline poured straight into the fire.
If her enemies don’t kill her first, I might do it myself. Free of charge.

But then the truth about her past begins to surface.
Ghosts are coming for her—violent ones.
Suddenly, the monster everyone fears is the only thing standing between her and the grave.
The darkness inside me isn’t a curse.
It’s exactly what she needs.

Because prayers won’t save her.
Saints won’t protect her.
Only a demon will.

And this time, the story doesn’t end the way it should.
This time, the villain gets the girl.
Whether she wants him or not.

For fans of enemies-to-lovers, arranged marriage, forced proximity, and a heroine who will only accept it on her terms.

Sanctuary
Without the darkness…..both Tiffany and Joseph, thrive in and with the darkness, need the darkness. Can they find the light?! And if not the light, can they find peace? Because when they are together and their passion flares, so does peace in their minds and hearts.

Ms. Andrews is a good writer, therefore I am going to give this series a pass, until next time.

I skimmed the second half of the book in order to get done because I was growing so frustrated with the plot and the CHARACTERS. I really tried to like this series and got through Rose's story, but Alice's and Tiffany's stories were complete busts. I deleted Alice's story half way through.

I could not stand Joseph throughout the entire book. Even when Ms Andrews tried to humanize him, it failed. I am no shrink, but this guy definitely suffered from some mental issues and was a borderline sadist, evil man who wallowed in his guilt to the point of obsession and craved not only his pain, but Tiffany's pain. Honestly he needed professional help, not the black room or some other kind of "out of the box therapy" that seemed temporary and pointless.

Taking young women that were sent to a convent and forcing them out for a year; and expecting them to flourish in a society made up of underworld criminals that wanted them either dead or married with a kid in their bellies by Tiffany's 25th birthday was interesting, but just didn't feel like it was executed as well as I would have hoped. There were contradictions that were inserted into the plot that were exposed as the book progressed with little explanation.

Joseph and his brothers were forced to intercept the three young women, marry them and knock them up because their father wanted their inheritance of the Diamond Dynasty, like so many others. They were no different from any other crime family that wanted what the girl's father had left them. Morgan was the only character that was of real interest as the ex-stepmother of the girl's late father.

I never saw Tiffany and Joseph as a couple or eventual love match. She was a sex starved MFC, that had NOTHING to compare him too. She was strong in her own right, but had a physical thing for Joseph "because he was soooo handsome" which drew her to him; as well as her dark past and memories that plagued her. I think she thought they were kindred spirits because they were both so messed up.

The ending had everyone pregnant and in love (really??) with the brothers which was ALSO a hard sell. Not one of them deviated from marrying these guys after finally experiencing sex and saddling themselves into arranged marriages with men from the criminal underworld, just like their father's world. The delivery of the boxes and the diamonds for each main character, was anticlimactic since their father certainly wasn't a man who showed love for any of these girls; actually just the opposite.

Simply captivating, heart filled read where an Angel saves a Demon and in doing so brings together a family dynasty
Joseph Ravera is not like his brothers he has a darkness that lives within since he experienced a terrible fate when he was still a teenager and this had brought a demon to the forefront of his psyche. When he was instructed that he had to marry the third and final sister Tiffany who is the youngest of the sisters he is cold and calculated and he is totally unprepared for the equally cold shoulder she gives him on their first meeting.
As they travel to London and his home Joseph is shocked to discover that his bride is no shrinking violet when it comes to dealing with his actions and this actually inspires him and he decides that perhaps he is going to find married life more interesting that first believed.
When she finds him bringing in another woman Sue Lin, she insists that he explain why he needs her and as he explains and lets her share his dark space, she finds that she also is able to find peace and release with the help of her husband.
As the girls and their husbands are determined to prevent the supposed Step mother Morgan from capturing the sisters and selling them into a life of sexual slavery, then when they were no longer of use they would be murdered and cast aside. However, Morgan never anticipated the determination of Enrico’s daughters and their husbands the powerful Ravera Brothers and the bratva dynasty who had raised them all to be strong and loyal to their family.
I guarantee that readers will be blown away by this wonderful read and there is still another book which I cannot wait to read.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Retribution is the perfect ending to The Diamond Dynasty series. 5 full stars!!! This book wraps up the story we’ve been following since book one in a powerful and emotional way. Joseph and Tiffany completely stole my heart. Joseph fights his demons alongside his angel, Tiffany. She becomes the outlet for his pain, but in the best way. She is exactly what he needs to face his past and let go of the darkness he carries. And Tiffany too… she has her own demons, yet she is strong, fierce, and unwavering. She never backs down, knows exactly what she wants, and isn’t afraid to demand justice for herself and her sisters. Their dynamic is intense and beautifully balanced: light and dark, innocence and ruthlessness. The emotions hit hard, and yes… I cried. The girls suffered so much in this trilogy... so much pain, but there is also so much joy and satisfaction. I love when a story makes me feel that deeply. While I do think the girls were a bit too forgiving, it fits their nature; they’re kind, pure, and compassionate, while their men are the complete opposite, ready to burn the world for them. This was a gripping, emotional, and satisfying conclusion. Stella Andrews truly delivered. 💎🔥.

This has been an amazing read.
Tiffany is unwilling to leave the Sanctuary of the sisters convent, not knowing what has happened to her own sisters she is playing it safe. Joseph Ravera arrives telling her she must leave with him as she is in danger.
Tiffany finds herself an unwilling bride to a man who appears to have a very dark side, haunted by demons from the past. As she gets to know her husband well it seems she has a few demons of her own that want to come out and play.
As the story unfolds Tiffany becomes less worried about fulfilling the terms of her Father's will, married and pregnant by the age of 25. Joseph it seems is just what she needs to actually embrace the feelings she has hidden for years. With his help she is reunited with her sisters and their husbands, Josephs brothers. Together they slowly unravel the plots and betrayal that run through the girls family so their stepmother can inherit everything. Everything it seems is dependent on a set of keys being held for the sisters, to be given to them when their fathers wishes have all been fulfilled.
This has been a fabulous read, so many lies, secrets, betrayals, twists and turns it will keep you guessing right up to the end, unwilling to put the book down until the secrets are all laid open.

The Saga and danger continue in this last instalment , Retribution Book 3, when it’s Joseph Ravera’s turn to rescue Tiffany Zaferelli the most important sister related to the inheritance and the most broken one. Joseph is the most feared and most broken of the Ravera brothers. He needs an angel to help him confront his demons and nightmares and Tiffany is that angel as she to, has lived and witnessed his horrors as they both lead the same lives. Having been abused and victimized by her stepmother Tiffany must once again face her demon and obtain retribution in completing her healing. Together they’re carbon copies of themselves, better, stronger , fierce, and protective and they stand together for it all. When all three sisters obtain their keys that unlocks the treasure , they’re not prepared for what they find but end up being a « wish come true » for ALL THREE SISTERS. All three books have kept me reading past my bedtime as this amazing series is addictive and captivating, just like ALL BOOKS Stella Andrew writes. She’s my number one favorite author and it’s very hard to stay away from her books😉…

He's a Mafia man that has lived through trauma that has darkened his life since he was 18 years old. He lives the way he wants, does what he wants, but does what he told by his father the Don. He is to marry and protect the 3rd sister and get her pregnant before she's 25.
She doesn't want to leave the safety of the convent like her sisters did. She has no idea what's waiting for her, her stepmother. When she finds out she has to marry a stranger for protection to save her and her sister's inheritance she's not exactly jumping at the thought of who she has to marry. They don't mix well when they meet, he's big, he has empty eyes, and nothing but good looks, and she's beautiful and a bit naive but has a mouth that can get her into trouble.

I have loved Stella's Diamond Dynasty series so much and am sad to see it coming to completion. It's been a ride. With that said, I wasn't really sure how to feel about this book. I struggled through the first part, not really able to connect to the MMC- he came across as almost cruel. It wasn't til nearly two thirds through the book that I was even starting to warm to him- when we were finally able to see his redemption and rebirth. Even the entire Morgan storyline was completely anticlimactic. The whole series built it into a whole massacre- that never happens. The series is tied up into a nice, neat bundle at the end but, sadly, it felt rushed.

Worth the read, but disappointed.

Retribution brings us the youngest sister, Tiffany's story. Tiffany isn't like the other two. She isn't excited about leaving the convent like her sister's were. But, she may just be the fiercest of the three of them.

"She challenges everything—
she’s gasoline poured straight into the fire."

Joseph and Tiffany both learn quickly that he's her only salvation and like it or not, being with him is her only choice of survival.

"This time, the villain gets the girl. Whether she wants him or not."

Retribution is a fantastic wrap of the these three sister's and is an absolute must read!

Oh my!

This series has me on the edge of my seat. I am so in love with this couple. By far the most damaged individuals of the three couples. Joseph is hurt and battling demons from his childhood sworn to not allow anyone in in order to protect himself from further hurt. Tiffany has her own demons to fight abandoned and afraid. I couldn't see how the two could help each other fight while healing but that's what happens. Joseph and Tiffany's book wraps the series up quite nicely. All questions answered with a nice visit from Club Mafia 😉. I would love to see a next generation series.

As they both live in darkness, they will have to help each other find the light. Their journey will not be easy. Tiffany will challenge Joseph at every turn. This is Book 3 in The Diamond Dynasty Series by this author. It is an enemies to lovers mafia romance between Joseph and Tiffany. These flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an interesting read. What starts out as a forced marriage turns into something more. It is a thrill ride with drama and steam, danger and suspense, secrets and lies, sexual tension and chemistry, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters. An emotional page turner.

This book is a great mafia read. This is the last in this series.

Joseph and Tiffany meet and don’t really like each other in the beginning. They do love each other in the end. Joseph changes the most. They have major chemistry.

This series comes to an amazing conclusion. The other sisters and brothers are in this book at the end.

What a thrilling conclusion to a series. Tiffany comes across as the meekest sister of the 3 & Joseph has a brutal past that he just can’t shake no matter what. Two broken souls don’t make a whole one but with love could they cleanse the sins of the past.
This series has everything you could want in a dark romance.

What a great ending to this series. Joseph and Tiffany have their own demons to conquer, but together they are unstoppable. The black room was a new concept for me, and I loved it. I think my heart cracked when Joseph was looking for Zac and couldn't find him! Thankfully, Tiffany was there to help guide him.

Great ending to a fantastic series. Tiffany is Joseph's angel. Joseph needs Tiffany, they are two sides of the same coin. The intensity between the two of them made for a truly compelling read for me. Stella Andrews definitely hit it out of the park with this book and this series. I have read numerous books written by Stella Andrews and this one is so great and I loved every moment of it.

what an absolute gem of a story. Great world building, peeks of characters from other series and books. This author isn't far my favorite writer. Everything about this story is building a fictional world that never disappoints. Pick up your copy, then read everything this author has written. You can never go wrong with that.

"This time, the villain gets the girl."

Tiffany is forced to leave the convent with Joseph through dominance, fear and deceit, and it gets even darker and more twisted as secrets are revealed. Be prepared for cruelty, violence, passion, emotional turmoil, abusive traumatic pasts and a long overdue bloody retribution. The three sisters get their closure and their happily ever afters.

Another great trilogy with the Ravera v Zaffarelli mafia unions becoming more and more complex in each book.

I really loved Tiffany's character and you couldn't help becoming endeared by Joseph as the book evolved.

What a tangled web Stella Andrews weaves, there is always a twist in her tale.

Retribution is Stella Andrews at her best. The world of the Diamond Dynasty is gritty, dangerous, and beautifully written, but it’s the characters that make this story shine. The emotional depth, the slow‑burn tension, and the fierce loyalty between the leads make every chapter feel alive. Stella balances romance and suspense perfectly, creating a story that’s both thrilling and deeply satisfying. I couldn’t put it down. Five stars without hesitation.

The last Zafarelli sister leaves the convent with the last Ravera brother to get married, Joseph. He had tricked her into believing she was in danger if she didn't leave with him and marry him. When she found out, she tried to resist him but failed. There are many twists and turns as this series draws to a dramatic conclusion.
