This was a “YES” for me, but I think it will be a “MAYBE” for some.
(Also, this is a LONG review, but we’re all readers right?)
Let me start off by saying this was such an easy book to read and thankfully doesn’t suffer from “second book syndrome.” There’s nothing too complicated to follow or understand. We pick right off where Awakening ends, and the author makes it easy for readers to get right back into the story without having to reread Book 1. The tension, the flirty banter, the dialogue, the found family…I really enjoyed it.
While Awakening introduces you to the world and magic systems, Becoming expands more on the romance, relationship, and bond between Thane and Amara. Sure, we get some light action, but we get more of them as a unit as she strengthens her magics in the face of a looming war. I love this pivot from Awakening where there was more of a heavy training concept. Not only do we get the payoff from that (along with more -but not as much- meaningful training scenes), we also get a more relaxed version of Thane and get to experience who he is as a Warlord and partner. We learn more about the history of the realm, which is so exciting because we get a build up for what’s to come.
More challenges are presented in Becoming. This is an engaging, intertwined journey with a mystery and discovery that raises the stakes! There are no time jumps, so a lot is happening in a short period of time. There’s a lot to follow, and while some plot lines appear to be abandoned, it’s evident that each of them hold weight and will be revisited.
For those reasons, it’s a “Yes” for me. It may be a “Maybe” for others who don’t enjoy a slow, multifaceted, deep-rooted story and who are looking for hardcore action. The ending was also a bit anticlimactic, and there’s quite a bit of repetition on Amara’s inner monologue. I will say it is a bit long and could have been about 100 pages shorter.
Now, I’d be remiss if I didn’t say this..there are TONS of Empyrean parallels. While it is a beloved series of mine, some may find it off-putting. I thought the same about Awakening too, but Becoming was like if Iron Flame had a baby with Onyx Storm and the result was a few chapters from Fourth Wing. It isn’t a copy cat; these characters have their own story. But with similarities like how Thane and Amara speak mind to mind (and send memories down their bond), his gold-flecked eyes, he trains her on shielding, snarky dragons, a jealous “you don’t deserve him” hungry-for-power-bitch-of-an-ex who spars with the FMC, shadows, “there’s no place you can go that I won’t find you,” epic end of the book battle scene…there’s no way I could escape this review without bringing that up.
There’s a lot of expansion and moving pieces in this book. Now that we’ve established Thane and Amara’s bond, I’m eager to get back to the many plots and nuggets set up in this book to be revealed in the next one.

ARC REVIEW—4.5 STARS ⭐️ and 🌶️🌶️
This sequel to Elemental Awakening picks up right where book 1 left us and is packed with action, impending war, exceptional character growth, a jealous ex flame, sassy dragons, and, of course, banter and romance! The words that came out of the MMC’s mouth had me SWOONED! I really enjoyed having more side character dialogue and growth in this book (which I think will perfectly set up Lyra’s upcoming novella releasing late 2026).
The plot continues to develop and had me on the edge of my seat where I couldn’t put it down! I am throughly invested in this world and that epilogue at the end opened up so much potential (and likely some unexpected twists) for the rest of the series.
If you love early Throne of Glass with dragon bonding, I highly recommend this series!!

When you love the first book soooo much and Now become part of the ARC team for book 2!!!! I mean!!! Thank you!
In Book 2, Bobbie has given us a fascinating deep dive into Thane - his family, his history and the back story to all that he has been shouldering, and lets not forget getting to know his home which is the capital and an insight to the politics and it’s people.
We see Amara grow into her fierce self and embracing her title of becoming the ‘Spiritborn’
The relationship between Amara and Thane matures in the most exquisite way.
There is a little more from the other characters too in such a way that it makes you so so so hungry on the hope that Bobbie will deliver as the series unfolds. Bobbie, as much as there was a little more of Rian, I NEED MORE!!! 🤣🙌🏽 this Man!!
I absolutely adore the way Bobbie is so descriptive in her writing, every scene is portrayed so in detail that you can’t help but visualise everything while reading. Also, I highly recommend listening to the audio of book 1 before diving into book 2 as the narrators do such an incredible job that you end up hearing the voices in your head as you read book 2 which just makes it even more indulgent of a read.
I am so honoured to have been part of the ARC team and all I can say is I am totally hooked and look forward to the rest of the series! Oh let’s not forget Lyra’s story coming soon!!!

Thank you, Bobbie, for giving me the opportunity to read another one of the Echoes of Lumoria ARCs.
It’s difficult to write a review for a book that appeals more to your feelings than its own story. I think Bobbie's books give readers vastly different experiences. Grief, growth, and learning to adapt to facing an unknown but certainly grim future are the main drive of this story. How to go from care to trust to love, and being certain that both are at the same level of commitment, is also a big part of the plot.
There is not a lot of action in this one, but these few situations are quite intense.
The pacing is slow because the writing tries to immerse you, so don’t pick up this book if you don’t like descriptive and long, self-analyzing monologues. The main themes are repeatedly addressed to give the reader (in my opinion) the perception of being in the character's head, creating an experience and progress similar to reality.

Elemental Becoming showcases that the author’s writing style remains strong, and her ability to capture atmospheric depth and character relationships is clear throughout.
Because of how epic the ending of the first book was, I went into this second book with high hopes for major plot progression and expanded world stakes. However, it pivots toward more character development and internal dynamics. While the character work is thoughtful and well-crafted, many chapters felt like transitional beats rather than moving the overarching story forward, which made the pacing feel noticeably slower than the first installment.
While it wasn't the perfect match for my personal reading preferences, this will definitely appeal to readers who enjoy character-focused "bridge" books that take their time deepening the character relationships and setting up future conflicts. Definitely a solid read with another action-packed ending, but readers should go into this series knowing that they need to be patience with story progression!

2.5⭐️⭐️⭐️ I am soooo disappointed and it’s so hard to write this review because I was literally SO invested and in love with the first one, maybe that’s why I feel so sad and confused with this book.
My biggest issue with it was the plot.. WHERE IS THE PLOT? It wasn’t more than a filler book and you could have wrapped it up in half of it.. yes it concentrates more on the relationship of Amara and Thane and I normally love a good romance but it was just .. flat. On and on they swear their deep connection and love and it just didn’t feel natural. It felt constructed and there weren’t many issues to overcome .. like there was no work? No real complication or development in character like in the first one when Amara was hesitant to believe her feelings or asking if it was the bond.. and now I can’t really tell what it is either and it confuses me A LOT.
And the “love triangle” with Kieran felt forced, like how could she not see it ??? And why would you add it to the book? I hate this trope so I really hope Bobbie has intentions behind it because it really didn’t make any sense and just kept me wondering what the hell is going on.
And the plot.. well.. there wasn’t anything really new. I waited patiently for a cliffhanger or a revelation or something happening to Lyra after healing her but.. nothing really .. and then it felt like Forth wing all over.. the bond and the walls upbuilding for safekeeping. The stabbing in the end. The all-consuming-possessive love of the MMC and a rather conflicted FMC.. the dragons sarcasm.. I get it, it think it’s hard to write something unique and not so heavily trope- based but the author did it in the first one. Why changing it? I am so sad because I ordered it ahead and I devoured the first one in literal hours and this one took me a week to read.
What I liked was the Development of the Found Family Trope and History Class with Valen 🫶 but all in all it felt flat and I hope the Next one will get the pacing better and is more exciting because Right now I am quite disappointed 🥲

Once again, it's such an incredible book. This is a book of love and dovotion. Not just romantically but love between family. between friends. Between dragon and rider. the dovotion to ensure everyone is safe and happy. The care they have for one another. The wholesome moments where they share stories just need that space to breathe in each others presence.
The way Amara and Thane just anchor each other is so sweet and loving. They are truly each others soul mate.
They have so much deep love for one another that makes it so their love is unmatched.
I love the small noted exerts from valens journal at the start of each chapter. It breaks it down, creating a pause and adding intrigue and contemplation. They are somewhat poetic at times.
The way bobbi wirkmaa writes just draws you in, and you just want to keep reading. The diologue breaks down the serious moments with wit that is fun and playful while still covering the issues at large. The loose ends that lead to the next book have me excitedly anticipated for what comes next. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to arc read for you.

The way Amara and Thane just anchor each other is so sweet and loving. They are truly each others soul mate.
They have so much deep love for one another that makes it so their love is unmatched.
I love the small noted exerts from valens journal at the start of each chapter. It breaks it down, creating a pause and adding intrigue and contemplation. They are somewhat poetic at times.
The way bobbi wirkmaa writes just draws you in, and you just want to keep reading. The diologue breaks down the serious moments with wit that is fun and playful while still covering the issues at large. The loose ends that lead to the next book have me excitedly anticipated for what comes next. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to arc read for you.

Bobbie Wirkmaa has done it AGAIN! 🐉🔥✨ After Elemental Awakening, I was so ready to jump back into the world of Lumoria, and Elemental Becoming absolutely delivered.
This book takes Amara and Thane’s story to another level. I loved watching Amara grow into her power and begin to understand what it truly means to be the Spiritborn, while also seeing a much deeper side of Thane. The character development in this book was EVERYTHING. ❤️
The move to the capital brought politics, ancient magic, hidden agendas, dangerous expectations, and the looming threat of war. I loved how the story expanded the world while still keeping the focus on the characters and their relationships.
And Thane and Amara?! 🫠🔥 The chemistry, flirty banter, emotional connection, and slow-burn romance had me completely invested. Their relationship felt deeper in this book, and watching them learn how to navigate their bond while facing everything coming for Lumoria was beautiful.
Of course, we still get dragons, elemental magic, found family, powerful friendships, action, tension, and spice 🌶️🐉—basically everything I want in a romantasy!

I get why it’s called “elemental becoming” because it’s becoming my favorite series.
Yeah, that was corny. But truthfully, this is becoming my favorite series. Bobbie does an amazing job with writing to draw the reader INTO the story. I didn’t feel like I was reading words on pages, I felt like I was riding on Calryx, sparring with the pheonix ring in the court yards, giggling with Lyra and Rowena, finding my second breath with Valen, fighting alongside Thane in battle, and navigating the unknown with Amara. The pacing of the story is so so good. I never felt like I was taken out of the story or had a “huh, that’s unexpected” moment. Every piece of the story added value to the bigger picture. Another thing I love is that Amara is still SO very human and so real, and one of my favorite parts in this second installment is that we get to meet a VERY human and very real Thane. Thane Caelum stands proudly on my “top tier book boyfriends” podium.
Thank you SO much to Bobbie for allowing me to join the Elemental Becoming ARC team. I am so in love with this story and know you poured your heart and soul into it. I love these characters and I will never shut up about this series.

I went into Elemental Becoming with huge expectations after loving book one, and it did not disappoint. This book is an absolute journey. It’s a slow burn, but in the best way possible..richly detailed, descriptive, and grounded in spectacular world building.

Okay! I need a minute because WHAT DID I JUST READ?!? 😭🔥
From the beginning I was immediately so invested in Thane and Amara. Their dynamic is EVERYTHING. The banter, tension, jealousy, and the bond. I was Eating it up! Thane is the perfect combination of broody, dangerous, ridiculously powerful & completely being slowly undone by Amara. And slowly watching him let her in? 😭🥹
I really loved watching Thane and Amara’s relationship evolve and it kept getting better for me personally. I loved seeing Thane support Amara. I found that so wholesome. There were times I was unsure if I should be reading this in public out me embarrassing my own self .
And now we MUST talk about Calyryx. 🐉😆.
I am so obsessed with this dragon 🐉, the attitude, the confidence, and the audacity. The absolute refusal to entertain humans & there nonsense calling humans “ two legged creatures” and basically acting like sparring is beneath a dragon 🐉 ? PLEASE I need more of Calyryx immediately.
This book isn’t just romance & spice. The shadow magic, shadow born, the war, & the mystery surrounding Sylas Veyne & political intrigue pulled me in. This story constantly kept me guessing .
I really loved the world building & the elemental clans. After finishing this book I have so many questions about where this story will go .
And can we talk about the yearning ?!? I was done 😭 when Thane called Amara is zephyr.
Overall I loved this book so much. It gave me romance, dragons, political intrigue, enemies lurking in the shadows, spice , banter, jealousy and a Broody warlord who is absolutely obsessed with his woman.

Elemental Becoming starts immediately where Elemental Awakening left off. Buried truths are uncovered, there’s a curse that might not be a curse, and someone they know and possibly trust is working with the enemy. Also, getting to see the Phoenix Ring in action was amazing!
The way Bobbie writes, it just hits so good. It hits the soul. There’s something to be said about the empowerment and healing you gain from reading stories that come from someone else’s healing journey. There’s a lesson here—multiple probably. There is a different kind of power in being steadfast and holding strength when everything feels like it’s against you. There is a constant reminder that you are not alone. You do not have to do anything or carry everything alone. That really resonates.
There’s also something genuine and real about how she writes the interactions and dynamics of the characters. It feels authentic, like reading your own journal or something, and not staged in any way.
It’s such a lovely feeling, getting lost in the romance in this book. I think because it feels genuine, real, and attainable.

THANK YOU for this Bobbie Wirkmaa. After the way book one ended this was exactly what I needed. This book was romance forward which I loved. We get to see so much more of Thane and Amaras relationship and it's just beautiful. He is THE man.
The side characters in this also really shine. You get to know Thanes crew to a higher degree which was so fun.
I think this book majorly is setting us up for some S*** to go down in book 3 and I can't wait.

This series continues to remind me why I fell in love with fantasy in the first place. Elemental Becoming builds beautifully upon the foundation laid in Awakening, leaving me even more invested in these characters and the world of Lumoria than I already was.

If Elemental Awakening was about the slow burn between Amara and Thane, Becoming lets us fully settle into the relationship they've fought so hard to earn ― and continuously choose to fight for. Their bond — both literal and metaphorical — is given room to deepen, stumble, and strengthen. The world of Lumoria expands in tandem. The lore grows richer, political tensions tighten, and quieter character moments are allowed to breathe, making the friendships, found family, and romances feel all the more lived-in. Choosing who you want to be, even when prophecy, expectation, and generations of history insist otherwise. That theme resonated with me deeply. Throughout the novel, there is a quiet but persistent reminder that we are not merely passengers in our own lives. We may not control every circumstance, but we can choose how we respond to them and the people we become along the way.

Watching them learn to lean on one another rather than simply protect one another was one of my favorite parts of the book. The "dangerous to everyone else, soft only for her" trope is executed so incredibly well here, but it's the quieter expressions of love that stole my heart. Thane having Amara to move into his (sorry, THEIR) room — and the care, thoughtfulness, and intention behind every detail of that decision — absolutely melted me. It's those small, domestic moments nestled between battles, political intrigue, and HEAT that made this story feel like wrapping myself in a cozy blanket, despite everything threatening to tear their world apart.

I loved, absolutely loved Elemental Awakening, and to be honest I was looking forward to Becoming so much - I am happy to say, I was not dissapointed.🙌🏻
I understand why some might not like it, but hear me out.
‼️ This one is buidling characters for what’s coming!
The pacing is super slow, like snail’s race (300 pages for 3 day events 😒) but with purpose. This is not your regular battle, battle, ball, bedroom scene, twist, battle, betrayal, cliffhanger, wait until next one type of book. No!
👏 BOTH of these characters are in focus. BOTH of them are awakening and becoming. Amara and Thane grow together at the same time with each other. If I understood the story correctly - that’s the point. They are stronger together and now I am afraid - as it’s logical - that the dark forces will want to damage that. The Epilogue scared me a little 🥲
Where we had training and power awakening in book #1, we now had discovery in book #2. Lots of information to dissect, to pause and think! Easter eggs everywhere.
💚 What I love about this series is that side characters actually have a major role in main character development and the story overall, they are not just NPCs which we often encounter. Loved Rowena, Lyra, and Garrick in this one. Also love the dragons. Those dialogues are so funny.
I did notice some ‘dream like’ scenes that did not make any sense, and now I am wondering if that’s random or something that we are to find out in the next book, as a lot of things are still a mystery. Everything that everyone believed about the Spiritborn and the bond may not be as it seams. So we may want to brace ourselves.
➖Anyway, the reason why I dropped 0.75⭐️. Repetitiveness - sometimes to exhaustion. Sometimes that does add to the story and scene itself, to emphasize something, but in like 60% of cases it is too much (listing elements over and over again, his name when he’s near with all his personality traits… before the point of why he arrived and some other examples).
• Then the words ‘quitely’ ‘softly’, silently’ and the smalls on everyone’s backs 😁 I am sorry, that shouldn’t be a big deal but it distracted me so much. Maybe on audio it brings that emotional part but on paper in my head it’s like everyone is just mellow and whispering all the time. And they are all soldiers ffs.
• and finally Amara’s reasoning. I am fine with her doubting herself and her power, place in the world, and abilities. That’s ok - makes her relateable. I was NOT fine with her being sometimes a bit simple and unaware of her ‘place’ with Thane and all that ‘confusion’. Also, how in the world did she not notice Kirean’s behavior towards her? I don’t know why author went in that direction, I will trust her judgement, but all that kind of made her less badass. It also put a bit if a stain on their relationship her trusting randos with her feelings while her full in-house bonded man kind of opened up fully to her, weakness and all.
All in all - this series and also this book is so worthwhile but you have to be in the right state of mind to keep up with the pacing.
And I truly hope that people will stop comparing this to Fourth Wing as it’s starting to be annoying and there are many differences already.

💚 What I love about this series is that side characters actually have a major role in main character development and the story overall, they are not just NPCs which we often encounter. Loved Rowena, Lyra, and Garrick in this one. Also love the dragons. Those dialogues are so funny.
I did notice some ‘dream like’ scenes that did not make any sense, and now I am wondering if that’s random or something that we are to find out in the next book, as a lot of things are still a mystery. Everything that everyone believed about the Spiritborn and the bond may not be as it seams. So we may want to brace ourselves.
➖Anyway, the reason why I dropped 0.75⭐️. Repetitiveness - sometimes to exhaustion. Sometimes that does add to the story and scene itself, to emphasize something, but in like 60% of cases it is too much (listing elements over and over again, his name when he’s near with all his personality traits… before the point of why he arrived and some other examples).
• Then the words ‘quitely’ ‘softly’, silently’ and the smalls on everyone’s backs 😁 I am sorry, that shouldn’t be a big deal but it distracted me so much. Maybe on audio it brings that emotional part but on paper in my head it’s like everyone is just mellow and whispering all the time. And they are all soldiers ffs.
• and finally Amara’s reasoning. I am fine with her doubting herself and her power, place in the world, and abilities. That’s ok - makes her relateable. I was NOT fine with her being sometimes a bit simple and unaware of her ‘place’ with Thane and all that ‘confusion’. Also, how in the world did she not notice Kirean’s behavior towards her? I don’t know why author went in that direction, I will trust her judgement, but all that kind of made her less badass. It also put a bit if a stain on their relationship her trusting randos with her feelings while her full in-house bonded man kind of opened up fully to her, weakness and all.
All in all - this series and also this book is so worthwhile but you have to be in the right state of mind to keep up with the pacing.
And I truly hope that people will stop comparing this to Fourth Wing as it’s starting to be annoying and there are many differences already.
Shout out to Bobbie Wirkmaa as it takes courage and patience to be an indie author and write something this detailed and massive 👏👏👏

I don't think I've ever read a book that is so movie ready! Every scene is described so cinematically.
To back up, in book 1, ELEMENTAL AWAKENING, we get an indepth overview of each of the characters and the world building is painted in such a way, you can easily visualize it.
In this book two, we get a much deeper dive into the love affair between Thane and Amara. . . "full of emotion. . .raw and unchecked". We get to experience the fullness of the friendship between Amara and Lyra. There's numerous main characters that you'll fall in love with . . .plenty of banter and heartfelt moments. There's also characters that you'll be anxious to keep an eye on.
One of the things I really enjoy in this book is found at the beginning of each chapter. Each chapter begins with a journal entry by Valen, one of the main characters. The journal entry gives you clues about what the next chapter will bring.
Here's one of them:

Sometimes it’s a memory carried across oceans and mountains, a feeling that lingers long after the road has stretched beyond the horizon. Dragon riders: Another fav aspect of this series for me!! They have bonds with dragons. Bonds so deep, they can hear each other's thoughts! One of my fav scenes in this book is when Amara is riding her bonded dragon Calvryx and she explains how she feels the safest at those times.

I really enjoyed jumping back into Amara's journey as she made her way to the capital. It was fun getting to explore Volcaris and learn more about the city and its people. I also loved getting to learn more about Thane, where he came from, and meeting more of his family. I feel like it added a lot to his character and helped me understand him even more.
One of my favorite parts was getting a little more time with Calryx. I loved seeing more of her personality and the interactions between her and Amara. I'm also really hoping we get to know more of the other riders and their dragons in the next book because I think there's so much potential there.
I was also really happy that we got more action in this book. Seeing everyone use their different elemental abilities together during the battle scenes was really fun, and it gave me a better feel for how the magic system works when everyone is fighting side by side.
I also enjoyed all of the new characters that were introduced. Some of them were easy to love, others... not so much, but they all added something to the story. I especially loved getting more of Lyra. She's become one of my favorite characters, and I really enjoyed seeing more of her dynamic with Garrick.
This is definitely a slower-paced fantasy, but I know that's intentional. It gives you time to really sit with the characters and understand what they're thinking and feeling. I was invested in the story the whole time, but there were a few moments where I felt like certain conversations or descriptions went on a little longer than they needed to and started to feel a bit repetitive.
Overall, I really enjoyed continuing Amara's journey and seeing the world of Lumoria expand. There were several twists that kept me guessing, and while not every question was answered, the ending definitely has me excited to see where book three takes the story.

Thank you to Bobbie for my eARC copy of Book 2 in the Echoes of Lumoria series. It’s been a true honour to be involved again.
I’m still completely hooked and totally invested in this series. I honestly don’t know how Bobbie does it, but she keeps me interested from beginning to end. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This book isn’t packed with constant battle or training scenes, but what it is full of is beautiful, easy-to-follow plot development. It’s immersive, well paced, and lays some major groundwork for the future books. We get much more of Thane’s backstory, further development of the history, and the impending war. The story picks up exactly where Book 1 ended, and I didn’t feel like I needed a reread beforehand.
The pacing is slower, which may not suit everyone, but I think it was a deliberate choice. It gives you the chance to absorb all the little details while watching Thane and Amara’s relationship grow. I especially loved seeing Thane continue to give Amara the space she needs to grow into her role as the Spiritborn, something I adored in Book 1.
We also get more found family moments and friendship development, especially between Lyra and Amara, and Lyra and Garrick, which has me even more excited for Lyra’s novella later this year. We also have a jealous ex in the mix who, quite frankly, I could have happily slapped.
I loved the continued banter between Amara and her dragon, and how, alongside Valen, they help her develop her magic by learning not to demand it, but to invite it.
The battle scenes are descriptive and immersive without being overdone, and the same can be said for the spicy scenes… they were just 🔥. This truly is a great book with everything I love in a fantasy book.

This book, took my soul. 6 STARS, hands down.
I... This... Book.. I have no words.
Again I am blown away by Bobbie Wirkmaa writes. Her books are so full and lyrical, they leave you always wanting more but being so satisfied with what you have read!
This book was so different from the first one, yet it was the perfect way to go into the second book.
The story seemed to write itself like master weaver pulling you in until there was no more room to breath and you lived this book.
I could not put it down. It was one of those books that kept you locked in. Its hard to find words to write about how good this book is and how much I recommend it!
The world building was so good, it continued on like we never left the frist book and entered the next one. The character development was also really well done. I loved that it was more focused on the politics and the evolving of Thane and Amara's relationship within this new type of world. The flow of the story...perfection.
I felt like I was living in this story along with the characters and I need to know more! I want to see how this ends, how we move on, just want to know the story.
Thane, our MMC, was so great, I loved him even more after this book. I love that he is always willing to do anything for Amara.
Amara, gods, Amara, she grew so much in this book. I love how she was tossed into a world that was not her own but she managed to take everything thrown at her and grow with it. I really enjoyed that she faced what she needed to do but also had her doubts and her fears but she would work through them.
the Phoenix Ring, Lyra. I really enjoyed getting to know everyone even more. Learning more about each one of them, and of course I love Lyra. I love her spirit and support and cannot wait to read her book.
I Cannot wait to explore this world more and get to know everyone on a deeper level. I will be anxiously waiting for the 3rd book!

The second book in this series was just as epic as the first!
I loved seeing Amara really come into her own as the Spiritborn. She was already sassy, but now she's stepping into her power and absolutely packing a punch. Watching her grow into the leader she's meant to be has been one of my favorite parts of this series.
There is so much happening in this book, but it never felt overwhelming. Between the action, snarky dragons (which I adored), unreliable history, and spies hiding among friends, there was always something keeping me turning the pages.
And Thane... swoon. Our favorite Warlord still has that broody side, but some of his rougher edges have definitely softened. Seeing him come to terms with the fact that the history he'd believed his entire life might not be true added another layer to his character that I really enjoyed.
This series just keeps getting better, and I'm already excited to jump into the next book. 🐉✨

ARC REVIEW:
Wow, that was a roller coaster ride. First of all, I have to say I love the world Bobbie takes us into. The characters are great. I love that we get so many insights into Amara’s feelings and thought processes. I also love the richly detailed writing style.
However, ‚Elemental Becoming‘ didn’t quite pull me in as much as Book 1 did. I had a hard time staying engaged. There was an insane amount of repetition—whether it was thoughts, observations, or scenes. Several times I had the feeling, “We’ve already been through this!” Unfortunately, for me, that made the story feel a bit too drawn-out for what was actually happening. At the same time, though, I understand how the storyline is building up to something bigger that we’ll surely find out about in the next volumes.

I absolutely adored the character development in this book and more importantly the relationships! Without giving too much away, my favorite part was getting know some of the back stories of these characters. In the first book, we got Thane and Amara falling in love but in this one we get a front row seat into how they are figuring it all out together. As someone who has been happily married for 15 years, I appreciated how incredibly fierce yet relatable thier relationship is. Same witty and fun writing that had me devouring the book in record time. If you loved the first one, you'll love this one too! I cant wait for more!

Another home run for Bobbi! The transition from book 1 to book 2 was seamless and the character growth for both Amara and Thane was out of this world. I love how their relationship is able to develop and there is the perfect amount of spice without taking anything away from the plot of the book. Also the relationship between Amara and Calryx is so genuine but man will Calryx keep you laughing! It’s very refreshing to read a series you know is going to continue but does not end on a massive cliffhanger and you feel satisfied with the ending and having to wait for the next book.

The character growth of the FMC was amazing in here. I loved that we got more romance and Thane’s pov. The battle scenes were so well written, and I enjoyed the banter of the friend group as well. And the EPILOGUE with the villain’s pov?! Amazing. I cannot wait for book 3

Amara and Thane!!! Love them!!! This book starts off right where the first book finishes! There is a lot of uncertainty about the war and Amara and Thane face a lot of internal feats. This book goes in depth to give you an idea of what the character is feeling and thinking. Can’t wait for book 3.

Bobbie has done it again. I am so thrilled to have read the second installment of the Echoes of Lumoria. I love Thane and Amara’s story and the way they come together with their very strong bond. I can’t wait for the next book to come out. I’m so freaking exciting.
