After the devastating awakening of her powers and the brutal training that followed, Amara Thalor is brought to the capital—a city of ancient magic, fragile alliances, and dangerous expectations. As the first known Spiritborn, every move she makes is watched. Every decision carries consequences.
Power alone will not be enough.
To survive the capital’s politics and unite the elemental clans, Amara must learn what it truly means to lead—not just with magic, but with courage, diplomacy, and the strength to claim her place in a realm edging closer to war.
At her side stands Warlord Thane Caelum, the man sworn to protect the realm…and the one person who sees Amara beyond the prophecy. But as their bond deepens, Thane faces a battle of his own—balancing the duty he was born to carry with the love he never expected.
Because enemies are already gathering.
And if the Spiritborn cannot rise to meet the storm coming for Lumoria…
The realm will fall before she ever has the chance to save it.
I am biased since i helped on this book, but in summary: more love and romance, dragons, tension, battling baddies, and resilience! Publishing date set for Aug 3, 2026.
If I had to sum up this book in one word, it would be Elegant. Bobbie’s writing has an old world depth, a poetic lilt and a quiet grace to it. It is always richly descriptive, as you read you fall deeper and deeper into the characters and the world she has built.
The world expands in book 2 ~ Elemental Becoming, with it picking up exactly where it left off at the conclusion of Elemental Awakening. With the majority of this book set in Volcaris, the Fire Realm capital where Thane is Warlord, we get to explore the castle, meet his family and *gasp* his former flame. (Don’t worry, we hate her too)
Amara’s personal growth embodies the Becoming aspect of the title completely. Going from self doubt, fears, anxieties to confidence, trust and belief in herself. Fighting enormous battles, both figuratively and literally, allows her the opportunity to see herself through new eyes. Amara is an intelligent FMC, we get to see into her mind as she works out the puzzle of the enemy she is facing. She respects authority and listens and learns, sinking into her lessons with Valen with grace and poise. Her relationship with Thane grows and deepens, the way they love and cherish each other is second to none. The banter between them and the rest of the characters is once again brilliant, bringing moments of light and joy throughout.
I look forward to where this series goes, my curiosity has been thoroughly piqued, I’m willing to bet this series will be epic, I truly believe this could be bigger than TOG.
