He has never known love before. She is all the love he needs.

All her life, Genevieve Torres has done what she was told to do. Her Mexican father and French mother encouraged hard work, financial security, and stability. She has the six-figure salary working for a prestige law firm in Beverly Hills and the sizeable nest egg to match. But since the death of her father, she contemplates if this life is what she truly wants. Her family has all scattered, and her best friend, November Day, relocated for love to Buffalo, New York. Genevieve feels stuck, watching everyone else move on.

On Valentine’s Day, November suggests Genevieve follow her dream of opening an all-romance bookstore and coffee bar in Buffalo. Genevieve takes the leap, relocating her life to focus on the business plan, yet never expected the friendship she forms with her introverted, book loving, next-door neighbor, Asher Adams.

Asher has always been content behind the scenes in work and life. He’s used to being overlooked and cast aside. Yet when Genevieve crashes into his life, he isn’t quite sure he’s okay continuing with the status quo. For once, Asher wants someone to truly see him. During Star Wars movie marathons, shared meals, kayak lessons, and co-parenting puppies, Genevieve discovers Asher is so much more...maybe even more than a friend.

"I read romance therefore, I find amour all the time".

Mine is such a special book filled with so much love.

There is just something magical in this author's writing and it just makes you smile while reading.

I just adore Genevieve and Asher's story.

Love always comes when you least expect it and if you ever get the chance to adopt a puppy, do it. It will literally change your life.

Stephanie does it again, with a book of characters I love and wish I could be friends with in real life. Moving to a new place and opening a book store, AND falling for your hot neighbor?? That’s the stuff of dreams!

I truly believe that the “voice” that Stephanie writes with is my favorite. I hope this series continues! I wish I could read it all again for the first time.

I absolutely loved Gen and Asher's story! It was so heartwarming to watch Gen take a chance by leaving everything behind to chase her dreams. How would you know that when you meet your next door neighbor that you would find your person and true love. I loved watching Asher take care of Gen and their fur babies. I felt the anticipation with opening her business - in my next life that is my dream- bookstore/coffee bar :). I devoured the Fall and Spring seasons and cannot wait for Winter. Thank you Stephanie for this fun read!!

THOUGHTS:
I wanted more depth of a character from Asher. I feel like for a quiet and mysterious cinnamon roll type of mmc, I needed his character to unravel a little more. I feel like I only got a glimpse of his character! Overall it was a sweet read. I liked their dates and how the main characters complimented each other. I also feel like there needed to be a small third act conflict. Otherwise, it was an easy light read.

FAV QUOTES:
"Dessert as the main attraction is never a bad idea."

TROPES:
middle age main characters, he wears glasses, cinnamon roll mmc, he takes care of her when shes sick, opposites attract, neighbors to lovers

Loved reading Mine by Stephanie Philomena. From the very first chapter, I was completely pulled in by the emotional depth, suspense, and beautifully written characters. The story felt authentic and relatable while still keeping me guessing the entire time. Stephanie has a way of writing that makes every scene vivid and hard to put down. I especially appreciated the balance of emotion, tension, and meaningful character development. A captivating read that stays with you long after the last page — highly recommend!

Very sweet and charming. Low drama. Like book one the writing style could use some more finessing but still a very enjoyable read.

After finding Falling in a Free Little Library and absolutely loving it, I couldn’t wait to dive into this book and it did not disappoint. I was giggling and kicking my feet the entire time I was reading. Asher and Genevieve completely stole my heart, and I loved every moment of their story. I also loved all the book references. I can’t wait for Gareth and hopefully Astrid’s book!
