I really enjoyed this sequel to part 1 of The Reaper's Sunshine. There's the deep & heartfelt sitdown conversations we needed, character growth, and clarity. Then Kya popped out and gave us some spice that was 🔥 I was not expecting that. It's always them sweet ones that have something up their sleeves 👀
And of course, there were the heavy moments. The moments that had my heart racing, mouth open in shock, and tears about to fall. Those scenes really pulled me in emotionally. I felt everything and could see it all playing out in my head. When an author can draw you in like that and give you such a vivid experience, it makes you cherish the book even more.
The playlist was 🔥🔥 as usual and set the tone perfectly throughout the story. Overall, this was a fun, dramatic, and heartfelt read. Once again, Faith really showed out with her pen!! 🥰
I will say, I’m glad it ended at part 2 . And part 1 was definitely better, but overall I love the closure and love sunshine got, however I really wished they other didn’t get pregnant by him I really hate that in book But the storyline is worth the read, hopefully I didn’t give anything away
Such a beautiful wrap up for Kya and Reaper. Reaper learned what it was like to truly date Kya and live a little because it was always about the business. The sisterhood and found family was so beautiful because Kya was just missing a mother’s love although no one can come close to it; she did embrace all the love given from the mother figures around her. So happy that Ramir got it together for his daughters because his wife and son was a lost cause Jacqueline and Kahlil was the absolute worst.
Hurt , people can not hurt people when the people they hurt heal. What do you get when the richest man had in the world turns into a homeless bum? What do you get when a woman has hidden herself from the world for 25 years and then finds her wings? You will definitely have to read this story to find out it touches every emotion on the feelings wheel. I enjoyed every minute of it.
Ok ok so Jack-o-lantern and Khalil deserved everything they got with the nasty incest having tails! I was shocked my Sunshine was the one to give them the karma tho.
I’m happy that Judge and the carpet munchers and Reapers dad all came to the senses and tried to do better.
Sunshine bedroom scene had me feeling a way, cause babyyyyy she turned all 3 of them every which way but loose chile!
A satisfying conclusion to Nas & Kya’s story. Nas may have taken his time opening up, but his protectiveness never wavered, while Kya finally found her voice and stood firm in what she wanted both personally and in her career. Messy moments aside, they ultimately got it together.
I enjoyed this series. All the loose ends were wrapped up. I would have loved to see more solution or play out of the MMC and his parents versus the Imani thing. Or even more dialogue from the Khalil and Jolly Rancher twist. But again, everything eventually wrapped up and I enjoyed the ride!
Why? Just why? Was it really necessary for that girl to be pregnant? 🙄😒 I was really enjoying the book up until then. I love Nasir and Sunshine and their love for each other was special and needed. I can’t get over her running in his house and Dom saying what the fuck 😂 one of my favorite parts
The sex scene was uncalled for, I’m sorry I was disgusted and almost DNF the book.. didn’t care for Imani the book didn’t need her and her drama. There was enough going on. Solid 3 stars
