DUAL VIRGINS!! *Happy dance!! Booty shake!!* (They are each others first, last and only EVERYTHING, including dating, kissing, touching, intimacy of any kind, sex and love!)
Only two, very long quotes in this review, because there is so much included in the book about their first times of everything with each other, if I included it all, it would be at least a dozen quotes!

I burst into laughter. "Are you jealous?" I bounce slightly on my

guessing you wouldn't want to hear about me with other people, not
that there are, like, I don't want to hear about you with other
people." I watch him relax.
"There is no one." He sits right back.
"I mean, like, ever. Not just this second."
"There is only you." I open my mouth to speak again, but he
beats me to it. "Ever." I press my lips back together. "Sit, and I'll put
my hand on your knee." I walk over toward him, not sure how to
respond to what he said yet.
Killian puts his hands on my hips but then moves them to my
knees. It's the cutest thing ever, and I can't stop myself from
pressing my mouth to his. That has him moving his hands quickly.
They wrap around me and pull me more into his giant body as our
tongues stroke against each other's.
"I want you," he says when the kisses break. I can feel his
hardness pressing against my panties.
"Why do you want me if you've never been with anyone else
before?" His dark brows pull together.
"I don't know. I just know you're different. How I feel around
you."

Lighthearted romcom, no angst, easy read.
This is the story of Teddy, a sweet, naive, rich girl, full of sunshine, energy and zest for life, whom is on a mission to save her best friend escape a man (this is going to be the story of Lily and Tristan in the next book). She doesn't cuss which makes for really funny comebacks coming from her, and she is very naive, has been bullied all through school and misses her grandmother who passed, but she has her trusty butler Roland and her lynx cat Minnie. She sneakily escapes to catch her ride to get to her friend, so in her haste, almost gets hit by the car. Inside is a Russian giant.
Killian is a cold, merciless hitman. He doesn't laugh, smile, emote and what I love about him is he never felt attraction or any feelings close to that for the opposite sex, until Teddy. Their meet cute involves a light saber and some very funny back and forth banter. He doesn't understand how he got this angel to climb in his car, but his whole purpose for being there was meant to be. He doesn't question it, and as minutes go by he tries to work hard to keep forever the only person who has breached his cold nature with her warmth. Killian is alone in the world, and has been most of his life since he was orphaned, so being alone and on the move was easy for him, until an unbreakable bond fused his entire self, mind, body, heart and soul to this tornado of sunshine. Now he cannot bring himself to imagine life without her and these two are stuck like glue and defend each other when tertiary characters try to get the best of them. Teddy is feisty calling anyone giving her man the stink eye a jerk face, which brings a smile to his face, and of course Killian just has to stand there stone faced telling men to "watch it", and immediately they cower. These two stole my heart.
This turns into a fun road trip, where Killian smiles, stares at the most beautiful sight he has ever seen and anything she wants, he makes it happen for her. He is completely in her thrall and she is just as possessive of her big Russian man! She lets him know he is all hers! The whole book is their road trip going from place to place and also them discovering all of which lovebirds experience, but they experience it for the first time together and I decided not to put any quotes except for two because they discuss it often and also let us know in their inner monologue that this is all new to both of them. Of course these scenes were my favorite because it is the heart of romance and Lucy Darling delivered! I enjoyed it and I HIGHLY recommend it! I will be rereading this often to have my DV fix for sure!
I loved it so much! It had me smile from ear to ear and made my heart happy. Now I cannot wait for Lily and Tristan's story. They new each other for years, but when Lily wants to escape, he finally makes a move and kidnaps her. It should be interesting. I prefer heroes like Killian. Killian would have never waited so long to claim his beloved, but I bet there is a good reason why Tristan waited.

I can always rely on LD's FMC antics to make me smile every time, and Teddy is no different. Ngl, she's too naive, trusting, a bit childish at times, and probably OTT quirky. She's not going to be everyone else's cup of tea, and that's okay, as for me I enjoyed her crazy moments a lot. 😂
Then we have Killian, the badass assassin who fell so hard and fast for Teddy. He probably didn't know how to tell which way was up or down because she got him wrapped around her little finger. 😂 I really love me an obsessed, protective, and possessive man. Anyway, I liked his character too, and I loved seeing him become a devoted girl's dad in the epilogue.
As usual, it's short, insta-love, safe, and dual V! 🩷

When I first started this I thought it was maybe going into the dnf pile because I’m severely allergic to second hand embarrassment and the fmc was the ‘blurts out every thought’ type but I’m glad I pushed through because she was actually just a wee bit weird and wonderful and I really enjoyed this.

This book has wrapped me around its bookish funny fingers. I've been laughing and it reminded me to enjoy my time reading.
Killian dude, if you weren't so smitten with Teddy, I would have kidnapped you. But I don't think you'd let me kidnap you in the first place,even if Teddy allowed it, you'd kidnap her to go with us.

Hilarious novelette that put a constant smile on my face. I know I can count on this author to entertain me.
This time it's about the most naïve rich girl crossing paths with a contract killer who's just bewitched by her. Imagine this adorable young woman who escapes her mansion on a mission to save her friend from a possessive boyfriend. She comes face to face with this aloof, cold-blooded assassin who takes advantage of her innocence to kidnap her, fall in love with her and indulge all her whims.

Really, I laughed out loud at all the crazy plots and witty dialogues. I loved the pet, the sweetness of Teddy and Killian's relationship, the friendship with Lily, and all the places they visited together. So cute and funny. Hot too, lest anyone misunderstands. Enjoy!

This read was a laugh out loud riot.😂😂😂😂 I love Teddy. I want a friend just like Teddy. She is amazingly funny and I love her crowns! I could not stop laughing. I loved every little bit of her! Ms. Darling did her thing in this book and I just knew she was a ride or die girl, Lol. Killian did not play about her and he was just a Sweetheart to and for her...I loved the fact that she had Minnie and Ro and her best friend Lily. She was on a mission, Lol. I can't count how many LOL moments, just so damn good!!!

Teddy and her “sweetheart” Killian. I honestly devoured this book in one sitting. Will definitely reread it again soon.
They were so gone for each other as soon as they met and I loved it!!!! Such a wholesome read.

“When I see wild red hair spread out across my chest and partly in my face, I relax. It was real, and she’s still here. Not only is she here, but she’s wrapped around me. She’s mine.”

Absolutely LOVED this book!!
I loved Killian and Teddy so much, their love story was so sweet and cute but also spicy and they know how to get it hot.
I loved the element of them be on a roadtrip and him doing things for her that she’s finally gotten to do that’s she always wanted to.
I loved the banter and the chemistry that they have that is instant and what their relationship unfolds into, neither of them were looking but what they found is so rare how could you let that go?
She loves him and doesn’t want him not in her life the when his secrets come to light she doesn’t walk away from him which I loved too, and he is changing… for the most part just for her.
Another amazing read from Lucy that I wish was available in paperback and I can’t wait to see what’s to come in Lily and Tristan’s story!!

Murder, mayhem and romance
You might think that a book about a contract killer who unalives several people over the course of the story would be dark. Yeah, nope. This one had me giggling more than anything.
Killian, the hero, is a stoic contract killer who decides to help out a colleague by doing a little reconnaissance. He meets the heroine, Teddy, and decides to keep her. Teddy is a madcap heiress on a mission. He's the murder and she's the mayhem. Together they are adorable.
This is an instalove, safe read. It definitely has an old screwball comedy vibe a la Bringing Up Baby. There is some explicit language and content. There's some great secondary characters and I can't wait to read Lily's story. I've always been a fan of Lucy Darlings books and this one didn't disappoint. I adored it.

This is a super sweet OTT Instalove story, with a sweet and naive Teddy and her grumpy hitman Killian. Killian gets tasked with stalking Teddy but everything changes when he sees her for the first time and when she thinks he is her new driver into freedom. This book was short and yet it still took me forever to read because it wasn’t good. The FMC acted like a child, the writing was just bad, the storyline was confusing…. I mean I should’ve DNFed tbh but I finished it bc I kept saying “it’s so short it’ll be done quick” but it was not done quick. My life kinda sucks rn and I’m so depressed and uninterested in reading and I’m legit worried I won’t hit my goal this year which would be crazy.
Genuinely I think I’m going insane, my mind will just get in these spirals that my life sucks and everyone else is living a better life than me and then I’ll just be miserable and so jealous.
Ugh anyways this book wasn’t good, was poorly written & had bad characters.

This is my first book by Lucy Darling but it certainly won't be my last!
The book was laugh out loud funny at times! But it also had a good story and it teased the next book at the end (can't wait for Lily and Tristan).
Teddy was so funny and naive at times. Killian fell as soon he saw her. And he went utterly obsessed and unhinged for her. It was awesome! Their relationship progressed over a week or so and they knew they were it for each other. I loved that there was not much drama and no 3rd act breakup!

Read the book in few hours while on the train. I absolutely devoured it. The FMC was OTT silly but actually really sweet and the MMC was the greenest murder-y flag I have ever read about! Writing style was actually really easy to get into. There were parts where I laughed out loud about how gullible the FMC was but I guess the book was written with that in mind lol

This is the fun and quirky story following Killian and Teddy and their mistaken identity and hilarious journey to forever. I laughed out loud while reading this I adored Killian and the quiet attention he gives Teddy showing her more than telling her how much he comes to care for her. Teddy is her own person and moves to what makes her happy. These two couldn't be more opposite but they work perfectly. Shorter and eays to read, fun and loveable characters, a lot of love, and a HEA make this a feel good must read story.

I adored this book!
This has got to be one of my favourite books! I loved Teddy and Killian’s instant attraction and chemistry.
Teddy is such a laugh, she came out with some of the funniest comments or sayings! I love that she didn’t bat an eye at who Killian is and I love that Killian was her sweetheart who would do anything for her!
Honestly this book has it all,

I absolutely loved this story; the characters have everything it takes to deliver a read filled with romantic, steamy, and comedic touches. Teddy is an innocent young woman who has lived in her mansion, surrounded by security and everything she holds dear in life; however, a journey to save her best friend leads her straight to Killian—a hitman hired to investigate her. From the moment they meet, Killian seizes the opportunity and keeps Teddy by his side. Everything happens during this journey, but the best part is the happy ending they share together. I can't wait for the next story!

This was a funny, quirky rom com. Teddy was whimsical and lived in her own world but had a heart of gold. Her antics made me laugh out loud. Killian was a hitman who fell hard and fast for Teddy. Teddy and Killian were completely opposites but fit perfect ly together. Killian was definitely morally grey with red flags waving but I found him endearing and sugary sweet with Teddy. This story made me smile throughout. Can't wait for Teddy's friend's book.

I was smiling and giggling the whole time I wish I could give this more than 5 stars! Absolutely LOVED Killian and Teddy!! Killian gets hired to investigate Teddy and its obsession at first sight. Poor Teddy has been sheltered and thinks Killian is her driver but he does everything in his power to keep her safe and let her experience life. They were absolutely prefect for each other and I loved this story. Already want to read again!

Wowza!! I loved this book! Killian and Teddy were such amazing characters and so great together. I love quirky leads in books and Teddy absolutely fit the bill. Wielding a pink lightsaber, wearing a crown and pet mom to an actual lynx?? What more could I ask for? Oh … right! An awesomely obsessed hitman mistaken for her driver. I laughed and smiled so big reading this feel good book. I cannot wait for more in this series.

Seriously, this one was sooooo good. “In this house everyone wears a crown”. Loved that! Teddy was an amazing character. Hilarious, loving and the best friend a girl could have. Killian just found his love and will do anything to keep her. Even if it means driving across the country, fixing her crown and helping her bust out her friend. Great little book. Super enjoyed the epilogue.
