Lessons Learned On the Way Down

Rate this book
This book is for leaders - current and future, emerging, aspiring, reluctant, formal and informal leaders! Lessons Learned on the Way Down presents a different twist on old truths by applying Christian principles to leadership in a secular world. Through the use of modern day parables relating real-life experiences, these leadership principles are identified and explored. The writer is neither a theologian nor a theorist. Instead he is a practitioner in institutional leadership whose career began as a bag boy in a hometown grocery store and ended as CEO of one of the largest non-profit health systems in the country. When Bernie Brown discovered that God's definition of a leader was our definition of servant, the direction of his life was changed and he began a 30 year adventure which he shares through the lessons he learned...on the way down!
