The Mole: A gripping FBI crime thriller

Trust. It can get you killed.

Dr. Ava Locke trusted her team with her life. Now one of them has destroyed her world.

When leaked raid intelligence results in three FBI agents losing their lives, Ava is forced to investigate the people she works beside every day. Her mentor. Her field partner. Her closest colleague.

The evidence is surgical. The sabotage, intimate.

Whoever the mole is, they know her trauma history. Her hyper-vigilance patterns. The exact pressure points that exploit her vulnerabilities.

They've studied her the way she studies predators.

As Ava closes in, the truth becomes the person dismantling her investigation and destroying her team isn't a stranger. They're someone who knows her better than she knows herself.

Someone who knows exactly how to manipulate her mind.

When trust is a weapon, who do you believe when everyone you trust could be lying?

This intensely gripping read immediately throws the reader into the action following a catastrophic raid in Georgia. The failure of the mission—the site was found to be empty, confirming they acted on a false lead—strongly suggests a mole within Ava's elite, five-member team. One of her trusted colleagues is suspected of leaking vital information to an outside party.

The storyline is masterfully intricate, packed with unexpected twists and turns, with Dr. Locke playing a pivotal role. The narrative is a compelling race against time as Ava desperately tries to unmask the traitor. Beyond just identifying the individual, the story deeply explores the mole's motivations, rationale for the betrayal, and the consequences of their discovery.

This book is highly recommended and a must-read! The powerful ending serves as an unforgettable hook, creating immense anticipation for the next book in the series. I eagerly look forward to the author's future publications.

This story picks up after the Georgia raid that did not go well. All indications lead Ava to believe that one of 5 people is a mole that is providing information to another party. This is more evident because the last raid that they performed, the site was empty and it was a false call.

Follow Ava as she tries to determine who the mole is within her team. Discover why the individual that was the mole was willing to perform and what her own rationale was for continuing. Learn what events happened after the mole was discovered.

The ending will get you wanting the next book in the series to find out what happened next. This story is well worth reading, don't miss out!

The Mole: A gripping FBI crime thriller (Dr. Ava Locke Series Book 3), my fourth read from author D.K. Warren, all in the Dr. Ava Locke series, the best book to date. I enjoyed the story-line with more intricately woven twists and turns than the Gordian Knot and Dr. Locke holds the sword in this one, I couldn't turn the pages of this technothriller fast enough. I was given a complementary Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. I look forward to reading more from this author as they're published. I read this story I received as an ARC. This is my review. Five FBI agents are on the hunt for one of their own, A Mole. It's one of the five recruits. Ava Locke is intent on finding this Mole because a leak caused the death of three agents, killed in a raid that was top secret. Well written, great character's, and a convoluted storyline. An intense thriller to rush through.
