Deborah Adele is an author of sexy, steamy and heartwarming happily-ever-afters...
As many people know, grief is the price we pay for love, and after several losses, Deborah lived within the silence of grief. Maybe she still does.
But, for now, Deborah enjoys the best life has to offer: from travelling the world to spending lazy evenings in her boat on the various lakes of Muskoka, watching the sunsets in the arms of her husband. When time allows, they enjoy sharing a bottle of wine as they cook new recipes together. One day, if her husband could keep his hands off her long enough, they may even try making a dessert.
After years of selling real estate and being an interior decorator, Deborah found a welcome escape in writing romance. She carries her notebook with her everywhere to so she can capture every idea as it comes.
Deborah is a lover of cooking, reading and spending time with family and friends. She is currently working on her next novel.
Grief is hell. If you have ever experienced the loss of someone special, this story will take you deep into moments when you felt like nothing would ever be the same again. For me, this beautiful story touched a place in my heart I had not felt in a long time. The struggle to move forward. The guilt that you could have done more. The trauma that affects every aspect of your life. The overwhelming, all consuming pain. This author is brilliant! This is the third book in the trilogy and it was written with such grace and compassion, it was almost like therapy. I did have an ugly cry, but that only confirms how well this was written. Marcus and Chelsea are desperately trying to find a way back to each other after the tragic accident that took their loved ones. The story is raw, honest, and an incredible tribute to what time, patience, and true love can heal.
Bravo to this author. She’s an incredible talent and I have absolutely loved her series!
This is a story about a married couple, Chelsey and Marcus who have drifted in their marriage over the past several years. It's a story about grief/loss, new beginnings, family relationships and support, and a memorable love.
I got drawn into Chelsey's character as she stood her ground in the marriage and realised she couldn't deal with Marcus being distant from her much longer. She separated herself from Marcus, moved house and found herself a job while caring for their two children.
Marcus had lost himself in the marriage after losing several family members in a car accident, causing a prolonged sense of grief he couldn't move on from.
All the while, Chelsey developed a new relationship with an old member of the family who had disappeared after this devastating family loss.
Marcus started writing letters to his wife and slowly found a way back to her, especially after establishing himself in a new hotel management role.
With a happy ending in the marriage, I found the epilogue surprising, not understanding the reason behind it.
This is a story with good descriptive writing, entertainment, mostly pleasant characters (not sure I liked Marcus much), and a realistic plot with strong themes that prevail in life. Well worth the read.
This was such a great, raw contemporary romance that really explored second chances in a marriage and two people who reach rock bottom in their relationship due to terrible circumstances, and have to decide if they want to fight to stay together, or throw in the towel. I really loved how much emotion this book made me feel, because I felt like I was right there with Marcus and Chelsey at the start of the book when their marriage is in this really terrible place and they’re so far apart from each other because they’ve experienced terrible losses, and author Deborah Adele does such a great job of writing it, that you feel as the reader like, how are they ever going to come back from this? But of course, that’s the beauty of a second-chance romance, in seeing how it’s possible to work through the pain if there is still love there and Marcus and Chelsey do want to find their way back together. It just takes time. I loved this from start to finish, just like I have loved the entire series and can’t wait to see what Deborah Adele writes next! 5/5 stars.
Be aware. In her Author’s Note at the end of the book, Deborah Adele uses the term “unashamedly steamy” to describe her books. As usual, we have a story of overcoming as only Deborah can write it. In Silent Tears, Marcus deals with his self-imposed guilt and Chelsey deals with his withdrawal to her own detriment until she says enough is enough. In the Epilogue, Deborah gives us the “What happened next” for characters in the trilogy. I especially appreciated this addition. My negative reaction was the repetitious character identification throughout. For example: “my mother, Gloria,” “my sister, Ava.” Once was enough. Nevertheless, I highly recommend “Silent Tears” to readers who enjoy steamy, contemporary romance.
The final book in The New Beginnings Trilogy is the story of Marcus and Chelsey. Their life has been on a path to destruction since the tragedy that changed their lives. This final book did not disappoint, well-written and emotional. Deborah has a way with words that draws you into her stories. WELL DONE.
