A contemporary collection of over 150 poems by 48 writers, inspired by the vain hope, want and pain of ever-ending love. Who among us hasn’t loved and lived through the consequences? Who hasn’t wanted someone they can’t have? Who hasn’t lost someone? There is much written about everlasting love. Odes, centuries old, celebrating two perfectly matched souls. Countless romance novels, all ending in wedding bells, the happily-ever-afters of our beloved faerie tales. But what of imperfect love? The first flicker of lust. That final kiss. The meandering path between our beginnings and ends. In some ways, unfulfilled love may run deeper than any other kind. We carry it with us, even in the best of times. It makes us vulnerable. It makes us human. And, in some divine irony, experiencing it once, however fleeting and painful, is what compels us to try again and again. The writers featured in this collection have captured the darker side of romance in few words through dazzling displays of heart. Each poem is a provocative story of a love that is, could be or never was.
Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).
If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.

This book did not rip my guts out. But then poetry is very subjective and I am quite particular of what I like and what I don't. There are 157 poems total, if my count is correct. Out of 110 poems, since I stopped reading on page 115, I liked 20 of them. Things I liked: The variety of poems by a variety of poets which is rare to find in one book and who I assume are all from Twitter, page numbers, titles for each poem, index of all the poems along with their page number, the poet for each poem listed. Things I did not like: The extra exaggerated spacing between the poetry lines, the font chosen, the one poem listed per page, the size of the font, considering how big the book is the font size could have been much larger like 14, the size of the book, how the poets were listed in the back of the book. If you're into poetry and aren't on Twitter, this might be a book to take a chance on because you'll be exposed to some new writers.
A poetry collection for the darkness in every romantic...
Seeing as I'm in the book, giving a review may seem biased, so I will keep this short. This poetry book focuses on the darker themes of love and lust. You won't find any well know poets in this collection, but it is filled with talented poets who love to write. Poetry doesn't sell these days; so anyone who writes it is doing it for their own passion and love of the craft. I assure you, that even if I wasn't in this collection, I would still think it was worth the read. There were poems that took my breath away, seeped into my dreams, and made me revisit relationships in my own past. Instead of jabbering on about how good this collection is I'm going to encourage you to read it yourself.
Since I'm in the book that's all I will say. I hope you give it a chance.
