Some honeymoons end in divorce. This one might end in death.Brie Greene married a stranger—at least, that's how it feels when Steven insists on honeymooning at a remote campground. Tightly wound and hypervigilant, Brie sees threats in every noise and shadow. She's spent years burying a past she refuses to name, and the backcountry feels like a trap designed just for her.
Then Steven vanishes during the night.
Some of the campers offer sympathy—too much sympathy. Others assume Brie’s to blame.
But Brie knows someone’s lying. Someone knows where Steven is.
As a rockslide seals the campground and it becomes apparent that help won’t be coming, Brie realizes this isn't about a missing husband. It's about her. It's always been about her.
The Empty Tent by Natasha Stone 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A super exciting and suspenseful psychological thriller, that is full of twists and turns!!
Brie and Steven just got married and decide to go camping for their honeymoon. When they arrive, Brie senses something isn’t quite right with some of the others at the campgrounds.
This is a very engaging and intense read and kept me hooked from the beginning to end!! It’s my first read from this author and I’ll be adding more of her books to my shelf!
If you love to read a pyschological thriller that keeps you guessing and turning the page this is it.
Brie Greene husband Steven wants to camp at a remote campground. She finds the place and sounds creepy is it a warning or real would you react or just push it down to being out in the country.
She has a past that she would rather not go back and remember or talk about it, then her husband is gone of course like with anything not knowing the spouse is the first to be blamed Brie knows its not her but it had to be someone. Is tis abut Steven or is her past catching up to her and demanding she fix it.
This was a really good book I really enjoy her writing I have read a few of hers and will keep reading them.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The Empty Tent by Natasha Stone is a great psychological thriller but unfortunately they used virtual voice and it does not go well with this story. This audiobook is about 7 hours long and it does keep you on the edge of your seat if you can ignore the narrative. No sexual content or gory stuff in this one. Just a clean suspense audiobook. This is book 1 of the “empty” series. Ready for book 2, The Empty Hallway. Just about a month apart between books, hopefully it does not affect the quality of the suspenseful story. I really enjoyed this book to anyone that likes a good thriller. Great job to the author!!!
Wow what a tense and lots of twists story following Brie and Steven who after getting married go to a remote campground and Brie senses trouble. The other campers seem friendly and when Steven goes missing they help Brie to search for him.
This is a story that keeps you on edge as twists are revealed that you want to keep on reading to find out more about Brie and the other campers.
Would highly recommend.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The Empty Tent: A Domestic Suspense Psychological Thriller (The "Empty" Thriller Series Book 1), my first 289-page thriller from author Natasha Stone and the first book of the "Empty" Thriller Series. When a rockslide seals the campground they're camping in the terroe begins. “I received a complementary Kindle copy of this book & am reading it & voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I'll be reading more from this author as they're published. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Wow! For an unknown author, I was definitely surprised, in a good way!! I found her kindle books by accident. Loved the plot, and her writing style was better than expected. I will probably read her other books. She is definitely just as good, if not better, as any other psychological thriller author. She's very similar to my other favorites like SE Green, Freida McFadden, Lucinda Berry and Boris Bacic. READ HER STUFF!!
This was an interesting read. The style of writing was a bit off putting to me personally. I found the sentences to be very short and choppy and some parts were a little too repetitive. Once I got past that, I enjoyed the story for the most part. The ending has me intrigued I received a copy of this book via the author and voluntarily leave my opinion of the tale.
I am not an outdoor camping person and this book solidified why. The Empty Tent was a mind boggling camping trip with a collapse after rain that closes the only road in and out of the camp site, along with creepy things that go on.This book has you on the edge of your seat, heart pounding beginning to end. A great read.
This was a complimentary ARC copy I reviewed voluntarily.
After getting married Steve and Brie go camping at the Blue Elk Campgrounds for their honeymoon, however there's something eerie about this place and Brie can fill it down to her bones. Loved how chilling this story is and the fact there were so many possible suspects to pick from and plenty of twists that keep you guessing right up till the very end.
I read this novel as an ARC and this is my review. Brie and Steve newly weds, camping on their honeymoon. (not Brie's choice.) A mix of some strange campers are already there, some friendly and a few not so much) A fast paced storyline with good character development. Keeps you busy with plenty of twists/ An edgy story/
This was intense. Brie and Steven went camping for their honeymoon, but Steven ends up missing. Other campers help look to no avail. This had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The twists and turns were wild. Suspended and mystery…so good. I kept turning the pages needing to know what was going to happen next. This was one heck of thriller. So good. Didn’t see that ending coming.
This is a very good book. Very hard to put down. All the. characters are very relatable. This author is a wonderful storyteller. She knows how to put the story together and then drop twists you don't see coming! Always follow your instincts. I have the second book and will be starting it shortly.
This is the first book in a series and it catches your attention from the first page till the end. Very edge of your seat thriller. I can't wait to read the second book in this series, "The Empty Hallway," Natasha Stone is a Great Author. I'm looking forward to reading more books by her.
This was an engaging read that kept a steady pace from beginning to end. The story left me with lingering questions, which only made it more intriguing. Another solid ARC from Natasha Stone—her writing style continues to impress me. I’ll definitely be recommending this one.
This was truly the art of psychological warfare. Play with the mind enough, move reality just a little bit and the mind will break. Anxious to further this mind play.
I got a free copy as part of the ARC team and I'm leaving this review voluntarily. This book really was a page turner. I had no idea where it was going. Highly recommend!
