I really enjoyed the mix of romance and mystery. Devin’s character was intriguing, and the ‘devil’ aspect added suspense. It started a bit slow, but it picked up nicely
This book has a unique concept. I liked the idea of mixing love with dark family secrets. Some scenes felt a bit rushed, but overall it was an enjoyable read.
This book does a great job of mixing romance and intrigue. It kept me interested from beginning to end, mainly because of its strong pacing and relatable characters. Both Anita and Devin's journey stands out, as they feel both believable and emotionally grounded while being strong on the romance elements. Judith S. Cohen writes in a way that’s simple but effective, making the story easy to get into. There are a lot of questions as you read and as the story unfolds, the author strings us along just enough to keep us wanting more. A beautiful Romantasy that doesn't skimp on either the romance or fantasy elements.
This was a really engaging read that really sets the stage and is vivid in it's descriptiveness. It blends suspense with deeper emotional themes. Anita and Devin have a wonderful connection that builds over time. The story pulls you in quickly and keeps you curious about what’s going to happen next. I liked how the characters felt real and were easy to get behind. The writing is clear and easy to follow, but still manages to create a strong atmosphere.
This was an enjoyable read. The story has a great mix of tension and heat in the romance element that keeps the reader invested and wanting more. The reader will find their selves connecting to the characters effortlessly. The challenges they face, their growing connection, and personal decisions all weigh on the character and reader alike. The author keeps things moving without overcomplicating the plot, which I definitely appreciated.
I found the story interesting, especially the mystery around Devin’s background. It kept me guessing, although I wish some parts were explained more deeply.
The concept is very creative. A mix of romance and dark elements always catches my attention, and this book delivered that. Not perfect, but definitely engaging.
