So Bad It’s Funny
I went into this expecting a fun, quick, dark read and what I got was some not great writing with a story that was so bad it was actually funny by the end. My first issue is that this author seemingly only knows ten phrases and twenty buzz words, but, by golly, they were going to write a short story. Even if you can get past the overused words and phrases, the author can’t keep straight any of their own details, which takes you out of the story completely. Was she wearing leggings? Well all of a sudden her legs are bare. Was the name on the front of the jersey? Well now it’s only on the back. Was she wearing shoes? Well now her bare feet are on the ground. For how short this story is, those mistakes are just kind of pathetic. This book takes like an hour to read, so I can only surmise that this author didn’t bother giving this a second pass before hitting publish. Also, the FMC said maybe five sentences in this whole book, which was actually comical. For a while I wondered if she would say a single word at all.
Anyway, I hope this author can improve their writing skills in the future, but I would skip them for now.

This really could be a good book. It’s really well written and holds the readers attention all the way through. Buuutttt… the author literally never finished the book. Im in the middle of a good plot and bam nothing! Come on, don’t leave a chick hanging…

The author and the book both have great potential, however none of it was in this book. The author’s overuse of certain words and phases made it a drag to read. I was hoping for a fun quick read but what I got was a confused mess.

Respectfully, I’m embarrassed of the fact that I read it. No plot, they barely spoke to each other yet ended up together? She was literally letting this man do whatever. 81 pages… this book had so much potential
