Brian Troth is a defense attorney, who after being shot in the head, awakes from a coma thirty years later. He is told that the world is now “perfect” where everything is provided. He is given a new job, a posh apartment and, to his surprise, the perfect romantic match.

About the author

Jerry J.C. Veit earned a degree in graphic design and gained experience in retail advertising. After six years, he shifted to working in education at a local high school.

Before 2015, Jerry wrote his stories as screenplays, then adapted them into books to reach a broader audience. Now, he primarily writes novellas and some novels.

Jerry's approach to writing includes two steps. First is developing the world and its rules and laws. Next are the characters and how they act and react to their surroundings, and why.

He enjoys writing character-driven stories with emotional depth in philosophical, fantastical settings with vivid world-building and impossible odds. As a despair writer, most of Jerry's characters were born from low points in the author's life. He writes and lives in Wisconsin, a setting that inspires several themes in his books.
