SOUL CODE
5 ⭐ 2 🌶️
I've been anxiously awaiting the newest story from Blake and omgggg Soul Code did not disappoint. If there's one thing I know to expect from her it's an angsty as heck why choose relationship. This entire book I debated how these three best friends were going to decide to share the girl they all fell for and it had me in knots. Of course Blake is an absolute mastermind and it all came together. For approximately 5 minutes and then it all blew up all over again as we're left with a cliffhanger that has me freaking out just a smidgen...
I fell for these characters faster than Ollie fell for Amelia (instantly btw). Oliver, Misha and Grey all have such different and unique personalities that it's practically impossible to confuse them for one another. And yet they are all so perfect for Amelia in their own ways.
The suspense really ramped up towards the end. I'm questioning everyone in Amelia's life that isn't our three. MMCs and wondering who's behind the attack. Her brother isn't cleared either, I've definitely hot my eye on him... Hopefully Nov 22nd gets here ASAP because I can't wait to see how this one ends.

If Blake writes it, I'm reading it. Her why choose duets always leave me smiling, and are filled with the best spice, swoony moments and just the right amount of suspense. She's quickly become one of my favorite authors and Coded Connections is some of her best work yet.
I absolutely adored these four and their side characters too. The fact that we get to see a little HEA for Morgan (and really everyone we fall in love with during this story) was really just the cherry on top. Amelia, Oliver, Grey and Misha were all so smart and sweet and everything I love in a story like this. Each character had their own personality and I never mixed them up, which is so huge in a why choose.
The plot was fantastic. I felt like Blake kept me on my toes as we dealt with the aftermath of book one and then go on to discover who stole Amelia's work. We get a couple twists throughout this story and it kept me thoroughly entertained. I can't wait to see what Blake brings us next.

Coded Connections was a great duet! It focuses on AR, VR and AI topics that I find really interesting, especially with how impactful they are today. Amelia is a very smart and sweet person, who is still overcoming some traumatic experiences from growing up with her family. Oliver, Misha and Grey are friends, pretty much each others family, and although they all have different strengths, one thing becomes very clear - their protection and feelings over Amelia. They are definitely stalker-ish when it comes to looking after Amelia, but let's be honest, I'm going to ignore the red flags since they're great! Throughout the duet, we get to see just how far Misha, Oliver and Grey are willing to go to keep Amelia. The guys absolutely make some big errors though, but the major grovelling from them was definitely my favourite part of the duet! Blake Black definitely knows how to write guys who show their devotion in the best (and sometimes morally grey) of ways. I can't wait to read what her brilliant mind comes up with next!

This was amazing, I started this and couldn’t put it down until I’d finished it.
I didn’t want it to end.
I fell in love with all the main characters and all the supporting ones too, especially Grandpa and Peanut. Who knew that crippling shyness could be a turn on, yes, I’m looking at you Oliver!
I have so many thoughts, Amelia’s parents, her brother, the watching, and I think I know who stole from her.
Blake’s writing is so full of emotion, I swear there isn’t an author who makes me cry more than she does, every time I read her books.
I didn’t cry as much with this one but I worried about characters, even when I wasn’t reading the book.
I was sick with worry over the treatment of Amelia by her family, the loss of the guys and everything in between, to the omg date with Oliver in the library and the hot af teaching sessions and throw in a heart stopping heist. Absolutely beautiful, especially the letters at the end.
I’d give this more than five stars if I could.

I love this duet so much! Amelia is so amazing and she’s so strong even if she doesn’t believe it herself. Plus the guys are absolutely amazing!
I love Grey, Misha, and Oliver!! They are nerdy and SO smart and a little overwhelming but only because they care.
I’m still at a loss on how to review this duet as I was the first time I read this! It’s so emotional and amazing, and I LOVE the way the guys grovel when they make a mistake (Blake writes an amazing grovel)

One of my favorite duets, Soul Code and Mind Code in one omnibus “Coded Connections Duet”.

There are four intelligent nerds that developed AI, AR, and VR and were not very comfortable with emotions. It was a delightful and heartwarming journey, but it was also difficult to watch when the wrong choices were made. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey, filled with playful banter, crazy socks, outdoor activities, and cooking lessons. One regrettable decision altered everything, forcing the men to scramble to rectify their mistakes and they did so with a lot groveling. It was a truly heartwarming story that I thoroughly enjoyed.

4.5 STARS!
Really enjoyed this updated omnibus version of the duet. I loved rereading favorite scenes, seeing the colored internal artwork, and getting that future-take bonus content. If the digital copy is this pretty, I can only imagine what the print editions look like. Another solid duet by Miss Black.
