Lindsey Coffey has spent her life trying to forget bad memories. The once-thriving artist sold everything she had for a tiny beach house in the cozy town of Lewes. Now struggling to support her aging grandmother, she’s on the eve of her 40th birthday with little to her name—and chronically single.
Leo Brigman never talks about his past. The town’s new handyman is a kind-hearted soul who’s quick to help anyone who asks—and when Lindsey’s snooping makes an awkward scene in the local grocery store, he’s more than happy to fix up her beach house in exchange for a place to park his RV.
But sometimes, the past follows you.
Because someone is snooping around, searching about Leo—and asking questions he doesn’t want to answer. And when Lindsey lets a young hitchhiker bunk in her house, she quickly begins to realize that this girl is no stranger...
Will digging up old memories bring more pain than good? Or should Lindsey and Leo stop running from the past and learn to embrace it instead?

Wait, Leo is married?? Talk about real life catching up to you!!! What will Leo say when Lindsey tells him about her encounter with the stranger looking inside Leo's camper? Can't wait to hear what he has to say!!! Very interesting cliff hanger😂😂
I have really enjoyed this book. I find it hard to put down. We got one mystery solved in book 4 but now onto the solving of the next puzzle about Leo. Hmmm where will this go? I am an ARC reader but I leave this review voluntarily
In book 4 the plot thickens. Lindsey learns more about Elizabeth’s mission and why she is in town. Why is the mystery couple looking for Elizabeth? Why so someone show up looking for Leo?
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.
