ALMOST HUMAN

John Doe 317 (“John”), the first cloned humanoid with a digital brain, is produced in 2051. Some months after he was produced, he makes use of some remarkable but unexpected abilities of his digital brain to escape from the research facility where he was produced. In an effort to avoid being recaptured and returned to the research facility, John happens to encounter a group of people who are members of a save the earth cult and live a simple lifestyle in a farm-like setting in a rural area. He joins the group and is taken as an ordinary person until first the leader of the cult and then one scientist from the research faculty discover his identify, but they do not reveal it to others. The scientist, who relates to this almost human individual, befriends John and her actions enables him to blend in with the rest of humanity to live the rest of his life.
