Angel's Halo MC #1

Librarian's Note: This is an alternate/new cover for ASIN B00ICP63XI

Creswell Springs was a small town in Trinity Count, California. Population 1,500—maybe. It’s a quiet town, with small town values. Its greatest income is the University just outside of the town limits… and the revenue the local Motorcycle Club brings in.

Being part of the MC that was Angel’s Halo was exactly like being part of a family. A scary, powerful, crazy family. It was also like its own society. There are rules, just as there are in every family, every society. But only breaking one of their rules will leave you in a broken, blood pile on the floor…
No one touches Raven Hannigan.

Raven
I was the MC’s only weakness. Or so my father use to tell me as I was growing up. Mad Max Hannigan was once Angel’s Halos’ president. He made the rules and everyone was expected to follow them or come face to fist with the enforcer…
I have spent my life in the middle of the MC. I knew the rules—the penalties for breaking those rules. So I knew what would happen to him if I let him break the golden rule… But I loved him, like I have never loved anyone or anything before. I thought my love would protect him.
Of course it hadn’t. When our secret was discovered he was beaten.
So I shouldn’t blame him for leaving me…

Bash
As the enforcer I knew the consequences. Knew exactly what was in store for me when Raven’s family found out that I had dared to break my MC’s unforgivable rule. I loved her, so it didn’t matter to me. When her oldest brother delivered my punishment I didn’t scream. Didn’t groan. I took it like the man my MC had made me, and would have done it over and over again if that was what it took to be able to call Raven Hannigan mine.
But then my past reared its ugly head and I had a choice to make. One that I have only lived to regret.
Taking on the job as Angel’s Halos’ new president was my second chance. But… would my secrets destroy everything Raven and I once had?

This is the first book in the Angel’s Halo series by author extraordinaire, Terri Anne Browning. It is an amazing look at life as a daughter of the founder of an MC and the sister to five older brothers! How can a girl possibly get a break with a family like that? Everyone knows not to look at, touch or show any interest in the first daughter of the club. Raven, however, has eyes for only one brother, the club’s enforcer, Bash and one day he is going to be hers! Bash and Raven’s story will grab you from the beginning with its unique storyline, characters that you will want to get to know and strong sense of family.

Our story takes place in the small town of Creswell Springs. Two things dominate the town, a university and a MC. Both play an important role in the town. The thing that they both do is supply needed revenue for the small community. The club is ruled by Hannigan Family. Their family runs a biker bar and the other brothers run multiple businesses in town. When the ruling President of the club is sent to prison for killing a man, he asks his ex-enforcer to return and assume the position. Bash left Creswell Springs and swore he would never return to MC life. There is only reason that he would ever step back into that life, Raven Hannigan the love of his life. She is the woman that he left behind over a year ago and has regretted leaving ever since.

When Raven finds out that Bash has returned to take over for her brother Jet, her heart is once again breaking apart. It doesn’t matter that he wants her back, is sorry for leaving her none of that matters if he is still keeping secrets from her. Can she trust him, let him in again? Bash is asking for a second chance to prove his love to her.

Thank God I borrowed this book from a friend (thanks .chel.!) so didn't waste money to pay for it.

She even rated it a low 2 stars, so I don't know WHY I still wanted to read it. I like this author's rocker series though, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I must be into self harm or something cause this was just not good. I think the only reason I finished it is because it was somewhat short and I can speed read.

ALL of the characters annoyed me. ALL of them. And the plot jumped all over the place, from past to present, from character to character.

Plus, the MC club had no edge to it. Burning down a frat house? Please.

Next.

It must be said that I am a crazy diehard Terri Anne Browning fan. Her Rocker series is one of my most favorite book series ever (and I’ve been reading for most of my life!). So did I think she could pull off a new MC biker series filled with hot guys and lots of action instead of the hot guy rockers she writes so well? Of course I did and of course she could! Not only did she “pull it off” she wrote one of the best MC books I’ve read to date!

Angel’s Halo is the incredible story of an MC run by Raven Hannigan and her five brothers. They’ve grown up in this lifestyle, they will do what they need to do to protect their own. Watch out because they’ve got a lot of rules to follow, but the biggest one by far is that NO ONE ever touches Raven Hannigan. No one that is, until Sebastian “Bash” Reid. He’s the enforcer; he knows the rules, he keeps everyone in line. But he also knows without a doubt he had no choice when he broke the most important rule of all. His all-consuming love and need for Raven and her equally intense love for him overshadowed even his love for his MC brothers, and with that, he accepted the consequences as they came, even if it meant he had to disappear. And that’s all I’m going to say with regard to the plot; I never like to give anything away and with this story I just want readers to experience everything for themselves.

What I love so much about this book is how well written it is, how strongly the emotions of every scene come through the pages as you read. I was hooked from the very first line of the story and could not put my Kindle down. I constantly wanted to know what was going to happen next. I felt like I was right there with Raven (and with all those hot bikers in the MC I sort of wish I had been!) experiencing her emotions as my own. I cried for her, I cried for others. There are sad tears, happy tears but all are so well worth it. My heart was racing many times throughout this story and the ending…WOW is all I’m going to say! If you’re a Terri Anne Browning fan, it will not disappoint!

Since Angel’s Halo is the first book in this exciting, hot new series, we are introduced to not just Raven and Bash but other characters as well who will eventually have stories of their own, I’m sure. Raven’s brothers are ultra protective of her and their dialogue and actions are just perfect. I think I’m in love with all of them although I do have a favorite already picked out. We also meet Felecity (Flick), Gracie and others who all quickly found a place in my heart. And since this is an MC series yes of course there is PLENTY of hotness within these pages! Terri Anne Browning knows just what she’s doing once again with this new series; these bikers are going to rock your world!

I truly cannot say enough about this book to fully do it justice. You’ve got to experience the new world of Angel’s Halo for yourself to see just how amazing it is. Trust me when I say you won’t be sorry. Thank you to Terri Anne Browning for creating this new cast of characters for us to meet and fall in love with, your hard work and dedication to your readers has once again paid off.

Raven is the MC Princess, her 5 older brothers are all involved, and the eldest is the President. There are a lot of rules the MC has to follow one, but RULE#1 is Noone, and I mean noone touches Raven.
However, someone did.. Bash.. Bash, is the sexy enforcer for the club..and after sneaking around with Raven he was beaten..
the next thing you know he is gone..

Now, two years later. Raven's brother (the Prez) is locked up, and called Bash to step in for him.. Two years Raven has laid eyes on Bash, she is hurt, she feels betrayed and she has a dang on right to it.. Bash is back to "I love you, I missed you, Everyone stay away from Raven" being possessive as shit. However he is also hiding a huge secret..

I loved Raven, loved her to pieces until the moment Bash came.
She went from an out spoken girl to a pushover (my opinion only). Yes I understand love, however what Bash did is not so easily forgiven..and she forgave him within days!
I lost all that love and Respect for her, maybe if she had held out longer, played harder to get I would have appreciated her more, but now not so much :(

Angel’s Halo was the first book in the Angel’s Halo MC series by Terri Anne Browning. I had read book two first and now I’m glad I backtracked to fill in the gaps.

Raven Hannigan was the Angel’s Halo princess. She was the first girl in seven generations of Hannigan’s. She was also the daughter of the original President and the little sister to four additional patched members. She was born into the MC, could hold her own and was off limits to everyone.

Sebastian “Bash” Reid was the MC’s temporary president. He had been gone for a year, after breaking Raven’s heart, and was back. This time Raven would be officially his.

Although the story focused on Raven and Bash, it began the story for most characters within the series. Browning also provided the POV’s for each one as well. Each story was left hanging to be continued with each book in the series and coming to a head with their dedicated book. If the first two books are setting the stage for the series, then all of the stories are intermeshing and continuing to be developed with each new book, even after they officially agree to be a couple. I enjoyed it but it was a little confusing with so many stories - for this I rated it a 3.5, which rounds up to a 4 on this review site. With that said, since I had read the second book previously, I actually understood it better than if I had just gone in blind.

In the end, it was a quick and entertaining read. I can’t wait to finish the progress for Raven and Brash, and Spider and Willa while getting the full stories for Hawk and Gracie (Guardian Angel) and Felicity and Jet (Reclaimed).

I haven’t had the best luck with this author. In the past I’ve been unhappy with the way she drags out and crosses over (overlaps) storylines requiring you to buy extra books to get a couple’s ending… Case in point, Kin and Jace were introduced in her Lucy & Harris series; they even got their own book in there, Rocking Kin, but there wasn’t a resolution. We were teased again in Forever Lucy the last book in that series, but the couple was missing in the epilogue, because we needed to switch over to the Tainted Knights series and read Tainted Forever to finally get their ending. 😤 I find crap like that annoying AF, but I’m cleaning up my older kindle books, and picked this up somewhere as a freebie (10-25-17)…and my OCD makes it hard for me to just delete it without reading… one of the MANY things that frustrates the shit out of me with my brain….Anyway, I stand by my earlier thoughts, and am glad I didn’t purchase this, or I would’ve been frustrated AGAIN, because it reads more like a teaser prequel than a standalone.

The blurb makes it seem like this is Bash and Raven’s second chance, and they are the “main couple”, BUT it bounces around from character to character’s (future couples) POV and storylines setting up their conflicts, so you can purchase additional books to get your closure. It also flips from present to past trying to fill us in on Bash and Raven’s story, which is confusing, because their story keeps getting hijacked with some other character’s crap. To put it in perspective, this book is 166 pages, and we get eight different POV’s… that just happen to be books 1-4 main characters.

Bottom Line- A bit of a hot mess. There’s so much page time spent on future book’s storylines that Bash and Raven get a half-ass story. They get a HEA, but most of the main issues aren’t really addressed/developed/worked out… they just get solved when we make our way back to them. He seems like an ok dude, but Raven is portrayed as an immature tough girl that cries all the time while we’re being told just how badass she is. It is a pretty safe read from a safety standpoint (both are celibate throughout the separation and he's ass-kissy devoted) so this series might be a good choice for readers that are interested in the MC genre, but don’t care for the cheating, drinking, club whores that typically go with them. BUT, I don’t think hardcore MC fans will be satisfied…like their fraternity beef felt silly, or her “kicking ass” without spilling the beer…🤣

So sweet
So predictable
So MC run-of-the-mill storylines.

This is my first review and I am already finished the third book of this Biker series.

Just so you know before you consider embarking on this MC adventure, there are many POV and storylines going on at once in each book. Each couples storylines spilling into the next, while introducing other characters.

This MC story can be considered fluff by all accounts. The stories are entirely centered on the romance and then there's usually a little bit of danger here and there.

Raven, who happens to be the biker princess who is the baby sister of this MC family, kinda guides you through the MC world that all our characters exist in. Through her storyline, we really get a sense of what her life is like in their small town. As for the other female characters who come along, the author doesn't delve as much into their day to day lives. Like i said, MC fluff, misunderstood love, unrequited love, mistakes, history...etc.

These bikers hang out at the bar and at the Main character's family home. Ain't much else going on aside from those two settings. As a matter of fact, it's hard to know what these bikers do. Seems like only the females work and go to school and do shit.

This ain't no Madeline Sheehan or Kristen Ashley or Tillie Cole. So don't get in here expecting some hardcore Epically painful and realistic Biker saga that rips your guts out and stomp them to goo...

No, this biker romance is light and cute with very little edge. Entertaining...not riveting or angsty.

But like I said, I am on the 4th book now and it's been entertaining and I really like some of the characters so I will keep going since I can't find anything else interesting to read these days.

Never know. Things might get crazy, who know!

BTW, if you got some really interesting MC series to recommend, with high angst, cheating, crazy shit going on? Please let me know!

H is 28/h is 18. Lots of different couples/relationships being built in the first book. When I finished the book, I didn't think gosh I'll read that one again and today I have to really think hard to remember all the different couples and the book is written from each character's perspective. We skip from Raven>Bash>Haw>Gracie>Felicity>Jet>Willa. The next book will be about Felicity>Jet. No cheating. In fact no real sex scene until about 70% of book. No cliff hanger IMO. Epilogue is Felicity leaving and Jet saying he will never let her go. This book really doesn't showcase the real life MC but focuses more on all the relationship building for future books.
The h is the daughter of the former Angel's Halo MC president, who is deceased. She has four brothers, all high ranking in the MC. Oldest brother Jet is in prison so the h's former lover Bash, who is also the former enforcer for the club, returns after a year long absence to assume the MC president position until Jet is released from prison. The H/h relationship develops with the ongoing issue of trust, lies and deceit. No cheating, sex scenes very tame.

Okay, I've read one or two of this author's Rocker books and thought they were decent. That experience is what sold me on this one. Boy'o ... was that a mistake.

This one was a hot mess. It lacked polish, it could have stood some literate editing and it had absolutely nothing original. It really resembled the shit you throw against the wall and watch as it started to slowly m o v e s down -- leaving a very messy and unappetizing trail. Just yuck!

I'd say save your money, but know people will read the word motorcycle or see the term MC in the synopsis and be sold. Pity you. If you aren't more discriminating than that, you deserve this.

Happy Reading!

Meeeeeeeh.

My favorite thing about Angel's Halo was that it was a very quick audio to fly through. Other than that, I was intrigued about this whole bike gang.. but then I met the characters and everything sort of went down hill. I really wanted to like this book.. a lot more than I did - but I just couldn't.

In it, you will meet Bash and Raven. They were sort of tangled together based off of some secret. I will admit that these character had one likable thing about them.. but they were frustrating to read about at the same time. This led me to an emotional roller coaster because I couldn't decide how much I liked/dislike them.

The story/drama was okay.. but nothing really wowed me. Again, I really wanted to like this book but I just couldn't.

I skimmed alot. There’s very little story about the H and h of this book. There’s way too many different POV’s and too many story lines. I don’t really care to
Read chapter after chapter about characters I will see later I’m the series… I probably won’t even read that far with this series. You gotta grab me with the first book if you want me to read the rest. This couple had potential but it just ended up getting lost in the set up of
Future books. It ended up boring and blah… I don’t really care about any of the characters enough to continue.

I’ve owned this book for YEARS, and I’m so disappointed with myself for taking so long to read it. A fast paced intense story I love its structure. The ensemble cast way of telling the story meant it never got stale and we always got to see the action from more then one POV. So much drama and so much potential. Kinda glad i one clicked the first four books a long time ago.

Nah man, fuck this.

6% into the book and we have been gifted: woman-hate, slut shaming,”I hate wearing makeup because it’s shit”, “I’m not like other girls”, dead parents, “I have X-amount of older brothers so I’m a badass”, and “everyone over the age of 40 is my uncle because they’re my dad’s friends”.

6% PEOPLE!

Did the author just pick every trope that she could find to make up the main character? Was the author bullied in high school by the plastics from Mean Girls? Honestly, that’s the only explanation I can come up with that would ever amount to this type of book.

Look man, “club hoes” are everywhere, that’s true, but it’s time women come together to appreciate other women and accept their lifestyles just as they should accept ours. Our main character, Raven, doesn’t accept this concept. She will actively slut shame a girl she doesn’t know, nor will try to get to know because: 1) she wears makeup 2) she has sex with several different men or 3) she has a valley girl way of speaking.

If I went about my life slut shaming anyone that did any of these things I would have lost all, literally all of my best friends. I have friends who’ve slept with more than 6 different guys in a year, I have friends who love makeup because they feel confident wearing it, and I have friends who talk like a valley girl in a trashy-Hollywood-B-Rated-movie.

Why is this something romance authors want to talk about in their books? I don’t get it. I hate to get on a soap box, but empower your fellow women. Unless someone is actively being mean to you or toxic, then you have every right to turn the other cheek but if you don’t know anyone and you’re automatically judging their lifestyle, its you that’s the issue, not them.

Also, this doesn’t read like an MC biker book. This is just a bunch of boys in a group hanging out together where they also ride motorcycles. I’ve been around real biker clubs and they don’t act like this. This is the Fischer Price Biker Club.

I’m honestly so shook that this has such high ratings when I’ve seen other, better written, women appreciating books with much lower ratings.

I’m shook. Okay. I’m seriously shook.

0/5 stars for this trash.

I am not sure how this book got such high ratings. This was NOT a biker book. This was a bunch of Frat Boys acting like they were in a club. I wish that the author would have done even a little homework to know that a real biker doesn't call their bikes a hog...like at all. Sure, some recreational bikers do, but not ones in a genuine club. Also, when the President has to step down, he doesn't get to pick his replacement, that goes to the VP, that is what a VP is for. You don't just decided...hey this dude used to be our enforcer and he hasn't been around in about a year but hell, lets let him take over. Nope, doesn't work that way.

Now lets talk character development...
Raven was a spoiled, self entitled bitch and if I could jump through the book, I would have drowned her myself. When she finds out that Bash had to leave her because the daughter he just found out he had was now an orphan because her mother was killed, all Raven could say was...well, what about me? Seriously. SERIOUSLY? Then you have her brothers that have a weird fascination with her and she allows their controlling way. THEN, you have bouncing back and forth between several different storylines and characters all in about 150 pages, you honestly think that is enough time to develop 2 characters let alone a whole freaking town? Let me answer for you, NO.

This series and this author is not for me, and I honestly wish that some of the reviews on this page were honest so I wouldn't have wasted my freaking time.

I felt this story has great potential however, there needed to be more details and the story needed to be longer. I felt like this wasn't Raven and Bash's story, but every character about to come in the next books.

It started off great but I wanted more details and background to Bash and Raven that we really didn't get. Especially when it comes to Bash. For awhile, Hawk and Gracie steal the show and they're book 3. :(

I felt like the bar and the Hannigan's home were the places to be or even Matt and Tanners place. The MC has a warehouse but you never see the inside of it. So that was a bit different for a biker book for me. Though, I did like having the bad and home scenes more.

I felt like I was rewarded with a balance of bad and sweet from the bikers, especially Hawk, Bash and at times Spider. I loved the Hannigan brothers and I liked Bash with Raven.... Even though she could be immature. I did feel her sadness and emotions of pain with what was thrown at her. In the end I was happy how it all worked out.

============
Reread ==> 2022 (add quotes)

Hannigan’s is the hangout for Angel’s Halo Motorcycle Club. My dad had been the president of the Club until he died.

“He’s not here to see me, Colt. He’s here to take Jet’s place.”

“Call me a sheep again. See how bloody you leave here,” I dare her.

When Westcliffe attacked Felicity, I wanted to kill the bastard myself. Jet shouldn’t be sitting in a prison cell right now because he’s done humanity a favor and beat that degenerate to death.

“You know what I mean. He looked like he hasn’t been spending the last year dying without me.”

Every day for the last fifteen months I’ve missed you to the point of madness. Every day I’ve struggled with myself not to come back and take what is mine.”

“You swear she’s a virgin?” Brayden asks Janice. “Pure as snow, baby.” My roommate grins at him, and it was the most malicious thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life. “And all yours.”

“She fuck you?” Spider’s hand lifts again. “You really want to get into this now, boss man? Because I don’t have a problem making you eat a few teeth.”

My stomach clenches with regret and guilt. Will I ever be able to keep her after she finds out the reasons I left?

So what if Bash is back. The girl has backbone and isn’t going to give in. Why would she when we both know that that boy is only back to find a mother for that kid of his …”

“She didn’t know, bitch,” Jen snaps at her friend. “I told you that just because your man tells you shit, doesn’t mean you need to go around telling everyone else.”

Jen reaches for my clenched hands and gives them a motherly squeeze. “Yeah, he does, baby. She’s about three years old.”

Never once have I ever thought he left me to go play happy family. He has a fucking kid—a daughter—and I didn’t even know.

“Who’s the kid’s mom?” I demand. Colt frowns. “What kid?” My patience is slipping quickly. “Bash’s kid,” I grit out. “Who is her mom?”

“I don’t know. She isn’t from here. I think she was the daughter of the president in the Vegas club, Red Dragons.”

“If you don’t call me in the next five minutes I’m going back to the bar and fucking the first bitch I see. Your choice, Raven. Five. Minutes.”

“What, exactly, does Raven know?” I bite out. That dangerous look never leaves Colt’s eyes. “Not much. Just that you got a kid. That you left for that kid. That you didn’t tell her. So, enough to destroy her.”

I should have told Raven before I had made her mine. I should have just picked up my daughter and hauled ass back to Creswell Springs, made the three of us a family instead of running away like the coward I am.

Read ==> 2014

I had grown up in a house with five bikers and no female influence at all, unless you counted the trail of one night stands that had come and gone through the front door.

“Look, Cassandra, it’s the sheep that lives next door to Matt,” the blonde with the mud brown roots comments as I pass.

Sheep are club whores and I sure as fuck am not anyone’s sheep.

I’d faced the consequences of my actions, survived the beating Jet dished out, even relished every fucking broken bone he’d given me. And then, when Jet had said that Raven was mine, I walked away.

“When I decide I want an ol’ lady, it won’t be with someone that chases after me, Raven. It might be a turn-on for some guys, but not me.”

After seeing him practically having sex with a girl at the Originals’ booth two nights before, I wasn’t sure if I even wanted those lips on me.

This isn't a bad book by any means if you can get past all the various points of view. Raven, Bash, Hawk, Gracie, Felicity, Jet, Willa, and I think Spider. If I've left anyone out my apologies, but as you see my head was bouncing all over the place just trying to keep up! Granted the author was laying the foundation, establishing relationships, but jeesh can you say whiplash! The other thing I found hard to swallow it didn't depicted any MC cultures or lifestyles but claims to be a biker book. So lets look at that for a moment, what makes a biker story? Is it the sweet butts, hang arounds, old ladies, rival clubs, and possible blow back on the MC? Maybe its those deadly risks, showdown like you'd see at the O.K. Corral. Sure this isn't the old west, what makes that scene different is leather and a whole lot of fuck yous, but you get my point. So what does this story have to offer? A lot of crazy ass drama where you shaking your head wondering, what the hell is that girl thinking and uh she so didn't take him back! So I'm on the fence, I have the other two in the series, so to play devil's advocate here and read the next one. Because despite all the bad it was interesting but ended on a cliffhanger. So wish me luck and read at your own risk!

Terri Anne Browning had me with the Rocker series & now she has introduced the world to Angel's Halo. This is not your average biker book. And since I am a huge fan of biker books, I couldn't be happier. The several alternate points of view worked perfectly. I care about all of these characters and am invested in their lives already. I can't wait for future books. I hope this is not the end to Bash & Raven's story. But I am so looking forward to Hawk & Gracie, Spider & Willa, and learning more about the other Hannigan brothers, & my poor Felicity. I am so envious of her. The ending was a great surprise.

Wow. This didn't work for me at all. i hate to give low ratings, I know the author put her time and work into this and I am not discouraging anyone from reading it, but I really struggled to get through it. It was pretty short, but the characters were...god, they acted like bratty ass spoiled 14-year olds playing at being badasses. JEt was probably the most compelling aspect and we didn't actually meet him until the very end. Basically this is just drinking and screwing and cussing and fighting and boring.

Seriously could I give Terri anything other than 5 stars :) She always blows me away and this book was no different. I loved this story and these characters. To me there is nothing better than a hot alpha biker. I can't wait to see what's in store for all these characters that I've grown to love already!

I picked this up, because I had started reading Salvation, also by this author. I realized that the story is the next generation of adults in this MC world. I felt like I was missing context on some of the main female character's relatives. So, here we are at the beginning with Angel's Halo. Angel's Halo is the first book about the Angel's Halo Motorcycle Club involving the Raven and Bash. Raven is the lone female in the Hannigan family. Her brother's are the upper leadership of the MC. The number one rule is nobody touches Raven. Bash is back after leaving for a year breaking Raven's heart in the process.

I read this book in under three hours. I found I couldn't put it down. All of the characters were compelling and I wanted to know more about them. I really enjoyed their relationships. Raven and Bash's story is raw and emotional and I loved every minute of it. The book also has other characters' points of view. I have begun reading the next book, Entangled, and that has the same type of format. It's almost like reading a soap opera involving a motorcycle club. I highly recommend this one if you missed it.

Spoil Free Review

Rating: 3 stars - Liked It
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Heat: Mild
Source: Bought

Sebastian “Bash” Reid stole my heart. He is a protector by nature and true to his word. As the story moved along I was falling hard for his character. Bash has a secret and was one of the reasons he left. I wish I didn't know his secret from a negative spoiler review. I am thinking it would of been a good moment to experience without knowing. I do read negative reviews just so I can see if there is any pet peeves of mine I do not like in my reads. It is crazy how one person might find something a terrible thing but another would find it a good thing. I found the good in Bash. There is dual POV and loved being in Bash's head. Their POV's were nicely done as it continues with the story. No rehashing from both POV was nice.

Raven Hannigan I just adored. Her mother died when she was young that left her to be raised by her dad who was the President of Angel's Halo MC and four older brothers. Her family and everyone in the MC is protective of Raven and loved that. It was never over the top and she was never the whiney princess. It just made her character have a backbone. She can be a little stubborn and feisty at times with a bit of a potty mouth. Loved that her potty mouth was not too much. Her brothers and some of the MC members did not allow that. She was also caring and loving.

Raven and Bash have a past that I loved hearing about. It helped with feeling connected to them. Their past was more of friendship that later started turning into a relationship. I loved the flashbacks or more really it read from present to past. I felt these scenes could of been presented as a flashback like with italic and some could of been more fleshed out than told. Some of them I wanted to experience what they were going through. Especially since Raven was off limits from everyone in the MC and Bash, one of the MC brothers broke the unforgivable rule, no one touches Raven. Sad to say was basically told just like it stated in the Synopsis. As for the heat level it rates more on the mild side. It does have a sex scene that I felt was ok. I actually did not mind that there was no sexual tension and no dirty talking hero. I was so caught up in the storyline that it did not bother me at all.

Right in the beginning I was loving all the characters. Then as new ones appeared I was loving them except for one. I do not know how I feel about this character only because I needed a little bit more of her. There are multiple POV's from most of the characters. I was surprised I actually enjoyed this. The other POV's are not giving their thoughts on the main characters. They are all part of what is going on with the story.

Angel's Halo is more of a tamed biker read. Not much biker action except for a bit in the plot that was not overly done. Raven's brothers and some of the bikers are really one big family except some are not blood. Loved the guys bickering back and forth, Loved Raven bickering with her brothers. Loved how they have each others back. Loved how they are natural protectors. All of them would protect any woman. I just adore how they will open their home to someone in need and welcome them as part of their family. Yes they all have a bit of Alpha Male attitude that is never over the top and flow nicely when needed through out the story.

I had a really hard time rating this novel between a 3 Star- Liked It to a 4 Stars-Loved It. Here is the problem, I really loved it and read it in one sitting. I could not swipe my kindle fast enough to see what was coming next. I loved all the characters and enjoyed being in everybody's head. I had a huge smile on my face after reading it because it left me feeling good. It ended in a kind of a cliffhanger but not with the main couple and got my attention for the next book. So I kept thinking well then if this is the case then it should be a 4 Star read. But then I got to thinking, oh my gosh it is over and I really did not get an HEA. Yes it ends well for Raven and Bash but I really did not get full closer on them and this was supposed to be their story. Overall their one big problem was handle too fast, needed more time dealt with and their somewhat ending seemed rushed. So I went with 3 stars only because the novel is on the shorter side and had a lot going on with other characters. But Like I said that did not bother me but would of liked the novel to been longer so I could of have more time spent on the main characters.

Terri Anne Browning has a beautiful writing voice as she brought all her characters to life that made me want to be part of their family that I look forward to reading more of in book 2. Who I am kidding I want more of her delicious bikers who are caring, loving with a smidge of Alpha Male attitude. That's right Hawk and Spider I am talking about you guys.
