I'm not use to Ashley doing short stories, I think 2.99 is to much and then it's more parts it's not worth me buying all the series so I'm done after this one plus the read was ok , I don't even remember what happened, Very disappointed.... So one to the next book
Love Burn had me sad, emotional, mad, happy All at the same time I was fussing and everything lol, especially with Noni because she kept going back to Dom. Like girl, please stop I was making mad faces, saying, girl, If you don't get with Mercy, and finally he hit it, but it was ruin with Tate stank *** glad the ending came out good because she ended up with Mercy even though she lost another baby again. I felt like she lost that baby due to "stress, drinking, taking them bottles of pills, crying," bad enough she tried killing herself twice. And then was pregnant during the second accident, the second accident had me weak though because she drove the car into his house and tried running over him I'm like girl she made me mad though throughout the whole thing because she was pregnant but was whiny when she lost the baby towards the end. But through this entire book, Noni best friend Tate and own husband Dom were shady asl. When he got home and seen she left I was dying laughing. Also, I wish this book didn't go from present to the past and the past to present ugh. Should've done past first and then present. But the book was still good, glad it stopped with the past BS. Dom was piss when he found out about Mercy and Noni; I'm like KARMA'S a ***** isn't it? I was like Mercy should've cuff his lady because he (Dom) kept own calling Mercy to fix his relationship (with Noni) so, what did he expect to happen?. Plus Mercy was feeling Noni anyway. I am against cheating but look I was like boy if you don't go and get her, I was even angry when she found she was HIV positive. And she didn't want to be with him, and he still wanted to be with her, I was hot lol, I am like girl if you don't get your stupid self-own somewhere, man he wanted to be with her regardless of her being HIV positive but in the end she wasn't' positive but negative. I did wonder if Tate did something to her test to make it positive. Because Dom was negative, and I was like how'd he be negative when she was positive, and Tate *** got that KARMA back good lmao. In the end, she still didn't get Dom but got killed, Oh WELL > Oh, by the way, (this book Love Burn is part 1-4, I was confused at the beginning of it.
I dont know what took me so long to read this book but, I might be a sucker for Ashley books but chile this lady books is always a tear jerker for me. Nomi caught hell from Dom, he got the mfn nerve to try and fight for her. But lawddddddd have MERCYYYYY! Cuz Mercy was just that. He was scared but he still wanted Nomi and I respect him for that.
So good! I read it super fast and already ordered the complete series! This author is a master of crafting timeless classics and proves time and time again why she's my favorite author!
This is a short read that focuses on a couple that has issues of husband cheating. Three of the 6 chapters are spent in the past. I however don't like books that jump back but that is just my preference.
This book was all four books in one. I thought it was only book one, but I got a nice little surprise. It was 10 hours. Noni, had me rolling my eyes and cussing her the whole book. She was sooooo weak. Like, embarrassingly weak; like, I'd never want anyone to know kinda weak; like, how do you look at yourself in the mirror weak. I didn't like any of these characters, well Mia and Mercy were okay. I wasn't rutting for any of people. Was I supposed to dislike them? I hated Dom. He was a horrible person. Oh, and it's hard for me to believe that Thomas never gave anything away. 2 1/2 stars
Oh how ridiculous. Dom and Noni marrying each other after spending a day or two on vacation is beyond me. What else can you expect from a man like this Noni?! I’m going to continue reading because I’m curious to see how this all turns out.
Falling in love after one day is not realistic, no matter how hard you try to make it seem like it is. Very short story that's based in the past for majority of the time. I like when books have chapters from the past, you get to find out the character's history. 3/5 because all the men in Ashley's books are the same. They all come from Flint, & they all are drug dealers turned businessmen but still deal drugs & are using their businesses to clean the money. Gets pretty old after a while, but the turn of events always spike the stories a little bit. Will continue the series just to see how it ends.

This was…wild. Noni really irked me in this story. All the wild foolishness she dealt with and continued to put up with. All the way to the end, even though she gets her HEA, I feel like her character didn’t develop much through all four books.
It was a quick read with a lot of drama but not enough character development.
Dominick (Dom) is involved with the Mexican drug cartel. Antonia (Noni) is a recent grad with a Masters & Bachelors degree from Michigan State. Why risk your life on a Detroit bad boy you may ask? But somehow Noni sees the good that's deep within Dom's soul.
Luke & Josiah are very feared & dangerous men, I’m surprised they weren’t mad that Dom switch out Gianni for Noni at the very last minute. This book was short, but really good!
Ashley Antoinette has outdone herself once again! I loved Noni and was on that roller coaster with her as I opened my eyes to my own situation. Noni not only shared her story but she made me consider the rewriting mines.
Can say I enjoyed this intro. Introduction of Dom and Noni. A divorce pending, a hoehusband, a soon to be ex-wife steals all the money she feels she's owed...can we say explosive drama. I'm here for it.
This book was so Good. It has to have a part 2. Watch your friends. Your closest friend may be the one who stabs you in the back because they are so jealous and tries to take your man. I want to know what happens next. I didn't see a Love Burns 2. Maybe its coming.
Very good book, I been seeing so many people talk about this book and I finally got around to reading it worth the reading. very shocking details in this book became period a little with the HIV information. Makes you want to test everyone you are going to **** and of course protection is a must. Glad the girl Noni found love at the end of it, but man this book sound too familiar with another book I read like I feel like I've read this story line somewhere, can't pinpoint where and when or what book.
I have mixed feeling about this book. This is the first time I read a book written by, and about African Americans. I liked the drama, but, and this is a big but. I hated all the slang, and the actions of Noni. Is she an idiot, a martyr, a doormat. I just can't tell. I got a book that had all parts. What a mess! This book has every single stereotype blacks are associated with, and angry to be associated with, mind you. Drugs, murder, baby mamas, cheating, dirty money, sleeping around. C'mon!! Don't feed the beast if you don't want it to come get you.
I just can't understand love from this point of view because I have a very happy marriage and I've never been cheated on, or treated the way these women are treated. I may sound like I'm judging, but I'm not, I just don't get it. I cannot put myself in their place or understand what these women are going through and why they hold on to these messed up relationships. I'm sorry, but this isn't my jam. Not following this author.
Loveburn was definitely one of those books where when the relationship starts so fast and crumbles down even faster. It’s a book that can teach people not to jump into anything so fast without getting to know the person first. There were a whole lot of red flags that Noni should have seen and not ignored. Dom, the husband, was really full of crap and ruined a good girl's life. Fairytales don’t tend to happen overnight and Noni was so blinded.
I still have questions, such as what’s to come with Dom’s previous wife in the beginning of the book. I anticipated things to go haywire, like she would start talking and mess up Dom’s whole “business” I just wish the story went back to that at some point.
This was a cute lil love story the way they meet and he courted her was love .. He had bad intentions but her persona captured his heart . I thought he was gone go threw with his plans I got so happy for her that was the twist the book needed . I don't feel bad for Gianni hating self love always conquer . Even though it's a book it gives you hope things do happen in real life .. I hope she somehow find her way back to him that she's going away to take time and see were she wanna be .. I think this one is gone take us on a ride .. Thankfully we don't have to wait that long .. I would recommend this to someone cause it's not the typical story
