My Five Star Review of “86”Book Two Chronicles of the Seven Sons Series
Written by Author Aimee Shaye
The next book in the Chronicles of the seven son’s series is “86” that follows in the footsteps of “Destroyed” previously focusing on a different brother. This story could stand alone from the first but I highly recommend reading “destroyed” first. This is a story about a young man, a demi god predestined too suffer, too love and too seek vengeance and eventually rule in his father’s stead. This story is rich in detail, rich in developed characters and emotional intensity rarely read with such vibrancy by me. This is a time period piece rich in Greek lore and all the work associated by an author writing such a historic and lore specific Greek fiction. Names, scenery, details and emotions all supported by the witty banter, jealousy and vengeance that brothers can exhibit towards their brothers and fathers. The different types of mythical creatures such a vampires, dragons and shapeshifter were all detailed in a level of description that impressed me even more then when I read “Destroyed”. The brother this story focuses on suffers too an extent rarely seen because of this prophecy at the hands of his father, mother and even some of his brothers. Besides suffering there is love, acceptance and vengeance fulfilled. There definitely is a love interest that I found heartbreaking and wholly satisfying as a reader. Really this story was about the many facets of the human condition even when the characters in question were demi gods. I often found my emotions being torn apart, conflicted while finding the occasional sense of hope and that is great writing when an author can do that for the reader. Be swept away into Greek mythology and then get ready to come ahead into current times with a slew of descriptive imagery, well written characters and a fantastic storyline.

This a great continuation of the story of the Seven Brothers. We get a very in depth look at their history through the story of Sypher's life. We are introduced to his great grandson that he didn't know about. And even though Hades and Corbin try to ruin things, love and friendship seems to always win.
