Introducing WHAT HE PROTECTS, book six in the hot and sexy new WHAT HE WANTS series by Hannah Ford...
Twenty-one-year-old law student Charlotte Holloway isn’t the type of girl to lust after things she can’t have. But when she starts working for the sexy and mysterious Noah Cutler, Charlotte can’t help but dream about the gorgeous billionaire, even though she knows it’s just a fantasy. Men like Noah – gorgeous, dark, and driven-- usually aren’t interested in women like her.
Noah Cutler is a man who doesn’t take no for an answer. His drive to go after exactly what he wants has made him one of the most powerful men in the city. And while he could have his pick of any woman, his sights are set on Charlotte. And he won’t stop until he’s taken control of every inch of her deliciously curvy body…
*A hot and sexy alpha billionaire romance, perfect for fans of Cassie Cross and J.S. Scott*
When I read the blurb to this book I was intrigued and yeah it happened again I did not notice the page number – and please all fellow readers do me a favor – CHECK THE PAGENUMBERS – if you have the chance before you purchase a book. I did not do that and imagine my surprise this is not a book – no if you ask me it is not even a novella or a short story – if I am being nice I might say it’s a chapter of a book.
What bugs me the most is that the plot is interesting – but could I recommend it ? Well I would have to give you a very separated opinion which makes it very hard to give a rating. If you have kindle unlimited I would say GO for it – because it is good BUT the author keeps squeezing the last out of it and the more the “chapters” (so far its at NO 24) continue the more it feels like she is dragging it out- so I am not sure where we are going.
BUT if you are a normal reader buying book by book – I will say something I never said before …. Even though this book is good – STAY AWAY FROM buying it – sorry – but so far 24 “books” in – you would have paid more than 80 $ for around 1200 pages that would equal around 4 normal books … meaning you paid more than 20$ for one ebook …. And when was the last time you did that ? To support my opinion I opened the main kindle books page on amazon and searched randomly for the most expensive eBook there it was “The silent Corner” by Dean Koontz for 17$ and it has 466 pages (while I was calculating with 300) and I would never buy that kindle book because the hardcover of that book listed right beside it was CHEAPER than the eBook which is also something I can never understand as printing a physical book – with all side costs - should make a book more expensive than an electronical file. But that is an ongoing story for another time. But lets face the facts a random ebook of average page count costs less than 10 $ and in most cases even less than 5$.
The story is good yes but it is not THAT good that I could encourage a purchase with this pricing structure. Especially with no end in sight this feels like one of those collection / construction sets you can buy where you receive parts each week for a few bucks and you think “its not that much” but once you finish the collection (and you have no idea when that might be) you realize that you paid like 500$ for something that you needed to put together on your own while others bought the finished product for less than half …But naturally at first that “half” sounded like a lot and it seemed so much cheaper to spend only those tiny amounts ….
Even with as good as that story is I refuse to support this new system of chapter books that seems to be getting more and more popular by only reviewing this book based on its story. Everything about a book matters and the price is a big part of a book. So without “kindle unlimited” I can not recommend this book.
Wow! I am in love with this series! What He Protects is Book Six in the amazing new What He Wants Series by Hannah Ford. This series totally rocked my world! Each successive release becomes more interesting, exhilarating and suspenseful. The story is exciting, thrilling, compelling, powerful, mysterious, suspenseful, enticing, addictive, romantic, arousing, sensual and steamy. The dialogue is smart, well written, intelligent and flows effortlessly. The characters are fascinating, captivating, engaging, intriguing and sexy as sin. Law student Charlotte Holloway may only be 21 but she has worked tirelessly to gain favor with her law professor and now she finally has the long awaited opportunity to prove her worth. She has been assigned to work with him on a very high profile murder case. The client is a none other than Noah Cutler, a very powerful and sought after attorney himself. But at her first meeting with the new client, she realizes that Noah is her mysterious one time hookup from the bar the previous night. Huh? What the heck? And as women connected to Noah continue to turn up dead, Charlotte is drawn deeper and deeper into his life and his world of BDSM. And it seems that Noah Cutler has plans for Charlotte. But what are his motives and what plans does have in store for the lovely Charlotte? Will Charlotte become another victim? Oh my! Sexy dominant attorney-check! Beautiful submissive law student-check! Danger, murder, mystery, betrayal, intrigue and suspense-check! Romance and steamy sex-yeah baby! I can hardly wait to read Part Seven. Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
These people are ridiculous, but this train is steadily moving down the tracks.
Noah gets himself out of jail, no thanks to his legal team who don't seem so top notch. Noah's hiding something, but that's no surprise. And we learn that Charlotte is getting played by someone, and given that we see Noah's POV, it's not clear who it might be. At least Noah knows she's up to something. Even though they've only known each other for something like 3 days.
Unfortunately there's not enough quality plot to make the sex scenes steamy... they're now getting seedy. Not sure I'll pursue Ch 7 (and they're not books, they're chapters)...
I could have given this series 5* except it has been cut into so many parts. I would never have begun this broken apart book if it were not on Kindle Unlimited. When it ends, who knows??? It could have been a very good book if it didn't leave the reader so frustrated. TO THE AUTHOR: are you so money hungry that you need to charge a dollar for every 25 pages!
I loved this series....am still loving this series. Could not even update or review before reading the next one. I sometimes read like 3 of these books a day!
Some of it was a bit rough for my taste and I can not believe that people have that much sex but each to his own in my opinion!
The storyline was very interesting! Book 17 needs to come like in now!
I like the series, but don't like the shortness and having to wait for the next book. I usually won't get involved in short stories knowing these facts ahead of time, which in this case I didn't
I'm intrigued to find out what happens in the very end of this series but feel as if the author is dragging it out a bit now. The books are very very short but this is now part 6 and I just think dragging it out into a 7th is a touch much now. Get to the ending already!
I really loved this series it has you wondering if he did it or not or that he might no who did it and is protecting them and charlotte she's catching on not knowing who to trust I can't wait for the next book to come out I'm hooked
OMG I have reached the end of book 6 and now I don't know how long it will be before the 7th instalment is released. I love the series but hate how short they are. Noah just gets more and more HOT and I want to know everything about him!!
The book is good the whole series is keeps you guessing I enjoyed hope you will to there is six so far can't wait for number seven you will feel the same way read the series you will enjoy them. Margie
It seems like these books get raunchier as we go. Some of the word choices during the intimate scenes was a little over the top...but that's just me...
The evidence is stacking up against Noah, but so are the secrets. This story is the ultimate murder mystery. Charlotte has her work cut out for her with this guy, will his secrets clear his name or pull them apart? Maybe the answers are in part 7.
Saga continues with Noah and Charlotte, plot thickens and great scenes. Noah and Charlotte need to trust each other to open up! Love the drama, which makes me laugh and the suspense. Is Noah a murder?
And the plot thickens... the sex scenes in these books are pretty well done and definitely make a girl weak in the knees. a bit predictable and similar to many other stories I have read but good enough to make you want to keep going.
Wow, I love this series, and what a cliffhanger—the suspense continues! Hannah did it again with this book in making you want more and you cannot wait to read the next book to find out what happened. I cannot wait to read the next book.
The mystery builds in this installment. Charlotte begins to have doubts about Noah despite being live with him and wanting desperately to trust him. She also demands to go Force after receiving a mysterious phone call. The twists and turns continue.
I am hating cliffhanger more and more, this story is great but it's too short. How could she trust a phone call not knowing who it is but she can't trust Noah don't make sense.
im so wrapped up in this story.. i wish i new who was trying to hurt him and if they were gonna go after Charlotte too. i also wish i new when the new one comes out, cant find out anywhere!!!
