Her Stepbrother, Her Hero

Rate this book
Anthony King.

He’d always been such a jerk to Gabriella, doing everything within his power to make her life miserable, from the very day she and her mother moved into his father’s house. For years, her stepbrother chased away every guy who displayed even a remote interest in her – he even went as far as to ruin her prom night!

She hated him.

When he’d enlisted in the Marines it was a relief, no more meddling in her personal life. And for those few years, she’d felt a smidgen of relief.

But now he’s back, even sexier than she remembered and intent on picking up where he’d left off – making her personal life miserable.

This time, however, he’s taunting her in very different ways…

"I've wanted you from the first day I met you Gabby," he whispered softly against her lips. "Seeing you and knowing I couldn't have you. Knowing one day I wouldn't be able to stop some asshole from having you. It was too much. But I'm in love with you. The years haven't changed that for me, Gabby, they've only made me want you more."

"I love you, Anthony King. Scars and all."

He was her stepbrother, her hero and now her lover. And she wouldn't have it any other way.

With all those The Stepbrothers trends these days...can't stop myself not to try this one too...

Well ?
I can say its almost "cliche for me but...I must honest to - at least - to myself that I enjoy reading it.
So...with lil bit PTSD issue in it, I think it's an okay reading for me...

Looking for a hot, quick forbidden romance? This is definitely the book to pick up!

Gabby has been tormented by her stepbrother Anthony since they were in high school. When he ruins her prom, and things may change between them, he heads off and joins the Marines. She doesn’t see or hear from him for 5 years, and when he shows back up its HOT HOT HOT!

Both Anthony and Gabby have wanted each other but since they are step siblings it has been forbidden, especially with the laws Anthony’s father put in place before Gabby moved in with them. She didn’t know why he treated her so horribly and years later when he returns she finds out why. Apparently he wanted her just as much as she wanted him.

I loved the bickering between these two, and they are HOT together. This is definitely one to pick up if you are in the mood for a quick hot read. I just wish we would have had more, I felt as if the story ended way too soon for my liking and would have liked more of Gabby and Anthony before reaching “The End”.

Quick, easy read. Step-siblings in their late teens, unrequited love, five year absence and then finally accepting each other as more. There was an interesting angle with Tony having PTSD after coming out of the marines and I wished this had been explored further. There was so much potential for this story.....but it finished at the 77% mark and I felt a little disappointed that there was nothing further! What about their future, their parents, his recovery????.....it stopped on a HFN.

Sweet read but finishing much too early with a number of things unanswered.....

Not as good as I thought it would be but I enjoyed it.

It's less "smutty" than the usual Terry Towers's stories I've read but I don't mind at all. Because sometimes Terry's books could be too hot and too.. Dirty. Haha. But if I'm in the mood, I'd got for it. Not all the time though.

This book, is your typical stepbrother romance. Kind of predictable and short too, but overall I enjoyed it. Look forward to read more Terry Towers's writing!!!

Her Stepbrother

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Good storyline and enough heat to scorch the pages.

It's a short story. Would make a great novel with some of the hero's war experiences and an epilogue to see how their future played out.

3.5 stars. Really hot and sweet. Gabby and Tony were really cute together. I'd have liked to know more of their future though. Will they have a HEA? Will their family accept their relationship? Will they give a f@ck or stay together anyway?

Review for Her Stepbrother, Her Hero by Terry Towers

Her Stepbrother, Her Hero is obviously a stepbrother romance … these books are popping up left and right these days and I find myself unable to resist them. I enjoyed the storyline that was weaved into the erotica. Terry Towers is pretty good at finding the balance between building the story and giving an erotic novella the smut it needs.

Anthony King is every parents dream. Quarterback for his high school football team, popular, handsome, and then a Marine. He’s a hero. He’s everything Gabriella King can never be.

Gabriella King wasn’t popular in school and once graduated she had no idea what she wanted to do with her life. While Anthony was away becoming a hero she was at home waiting tables and being an utter disappointment to their parents.

The chemistry between Tony and Gabby is really good… I liked how hot they burned for each other. There is a scene that while really sweet and sort of cheesy went into over-the-top-would-have-been-better-without-it territory quickly. When you read it you’ll understand, I think it would have gotten a higher rating from me had that scene been left sweet and cheesy and then ended on a high note instead. The author really lost me with this part and it was so close to the ending that there was no time to redeem it for me.

Three stars with Three wet panties for this stepbrother book.

Gabriella King had to deal with Anthony King since her mother married his father and instantly she had a new home, a new father and a new big brother. What made it worse was that he was the best at EVERYTHING. He always got what he wanted and she had to live in his shadow with everyone. Anthony didn’t help anything either, he picked on her mercilessly and made her life a living hell. She just couldn’t figure out why. Then on prom night there was the unexpected, and then Anthony was gone. Now five years later Anthony is returning home a war hero, a Marine. Will Gabby and Tony be able to figure out what is between them and what will lay ahead? Or will they be stuck in their childish roles forever?

If you are a grammar nerd or even appreciate good grammar be prepared to not like this book. However if you are craving a hot quick read this may just be a read for you. Terry gives you a quick overview of the characters but really focuses on their present and their sex. This is a quick novella that does leave a bit to be desired but works for a quick, almost incest, erotica.

Just wasn't for me...

I dislike leaving less than stellar reviews. They're so difficult to write because I know how protective I am about my favorite authors and I don't want to step on toes. This book just wasn't for me. But take this review for what it is, my opinion. Your's may be very different.

I don't mind shorts or novellas, but I didn't do my due diligence with this book so I was unaware that it wasn't full length. It ends around 77%, so just know that going in.

I really wanted to like this book. Actually I wanted to love it. The premise was good. The foundation had potential - slighted daughter and favored son who are step-siblings. Sexual tension, bullying, humor...then with a series of abrupt *BOOMS* the story moves itself along. And I was left wanting more while writing this.

I wanted a slower pace, more detail, and a more substantial ending. But like I always say (and to quote LeVar Burton like a true 80's kid) "don't take my word for it."

I hope you enjoy this book & this review helped in some way. ❤️

It contains explicit sex scenes so it is for the mature erotic reader and not anyone under 18. Sure it is a Taboo subject but it is very erotic.
Short but exciting! Gabby's mother married Anthony's Dad which made her feelings for him forbidden. On her prom night she thought her stepbrother ruined her senior prom. She went to confront him but she didn't expect to fall on top of him and him get hard for her. The next morning he was gone. He took off to the Marine's and never reached out to her. 5 years later he is back and he is so much different than she remembered Anthony. He is scared, sexy as hell, and sweeter. So all those old feelings of hatred for how he treated her and her still wanting him has her twisting up inside until they talk it out and she forgives him. He gives her the prom she should have had and much much more his love. She realized he was her everything , her stepbrother, her hero and her lover.

I have to say that this book was indeed hot! We all know that this subject is super Taboo but I have to say I can't stop myself and need to read them.

The characters in this book have crazy chemistry and I wish the book was longer. I would have liked to read more about Anthony and his time away. I really felt bad for him and when he had his nightmare....that really pulled at my heart strings!

This book ran too smoothly and every part of it fit perfectly!!! So #mustread #hotsexy read ;)

This is my first Terry Towers read and it will not be my last!!!

To short, to rushed, to predictable. Cleche comes to mind. It's just too boring, I read to half way and then returned the book. It felt as if it had to many unfinished gaps in between leaving you as a reader to fill them in (that shouldn't happen) the sexual content is apalling, like an 80s promo rather than realistic. No real character development either,
If your going to release a book and want good reviews then pit time and depth in to it and make it lengthly. Something for people to enjoy and not a half finished job. Wouldn't buy another book by this author.

very good short story

I really enjoyed reading this short erotic love story. It was very realistic when Anthony comes home from his tour of five years to make up with his stepsister Gabby whom he has loved forever, as in fallen in love with. Gabby has been angry with him, angonized over why he left so abruptly five years ago but truly loving him too. This is a cute story with some hot sex but short. Loved it.

Was a good short story

I liked the story. It could of been expanded more and been longer. It felt like it was rushed ending. Left you wanting more but not cliffhanger.
Overview. Tabby was fed up with her new step brother. He was cute, and always trying to screw up her dates and picking on her. After leaving for 5 years in the service he comes home. The feeling have not changed between them, but a few things are different.

This story is about two teens who were related only thru thier parents marriage. He ruined her prom night and shortly left for the military. Now he is back. Here is a story of two who were at cross purposes. She thought he hated her. He thought she was too good for him. Now after years away he is back. Can these two star-crossed lovers-to-be be able to collide together? It was a sexual explosion between these two.

I Love A Man In Uniform

Terry Towers has done it again! She has written a story that draws you in from first page to last. You feel the compassion and immense love between the characters as well as the turmoil they are going through dealing with the emotions of a "Taboo" situation. Even that said, the sex scenes are intense and so erotic you should have a "friend" near by to help with the release of sexual need.

Hot and steamy

Anthony has been a pain in Gabby's ass since her mother married his father.
So on the night of her prom, she has had it and let's him know it. And she realizes much more. Then he tell her to leave. The next day, he is enlisted in the marines.
5 years later he comes home and everything has changed. Such a long time time make up for and boy do they.

Very enjoyable

4 stars

I actually really loved this book. If it would have been longer I think I would have enjoyed it more to be honest. The story line went places really well but in other places it was leading one way and dropped off for me. I really was impressed though but like I said I wish there was more to it.

Sexy heck yeah and hot.

not quite sure...

This book was a little cheesy...I'm not quite sure if it was meant to be erotic or more taboo porno. It didn't seem raunchy, but there wasn't much of a story line and the relationship between Anthony and Gabby progressed quickly.

Terry Towers has written a hot, fun, quick read.

Tony and Gabby's story is hot. They stayed away from each other until Tony gets home a wounded hero and they can't.

Thanks Terry Towers & Good Writing

I didn't realize it was a short novel. Not a fan of those. Not a fan of the writing or plot. Too fast paced, of course. And character development.. PFFT.. too short of a book so what character development, lol.

It's not a bad book... I just do NOT like short stories at all.

This was a decent story, but I had a problem with the typos and the inconsistency for example in chapter 4 "It wasn't even prom season..." then on the very next page "Being that it was prom season..."
