Jacinta Peachey’s A Little Taste of Home is a gorgeous return to Dolphin Cove, blending two fresh lead characters with the beloved community spirit established in A Little Bit Country. Emmie and Cameron’s story is shaped by past hurts, prickly beginnings, and undeniable chemistry that unfolds with warmth, humour, and a lovely sense of emotional growth.
The Lacy Ladies, the Shedders, and other familiar faces add their usual chaos and heart, making Dolphin Cove feel vibrant and welcoming all over again. Peachey’s storytelling is filled with humour and a wonderful cosy quality that draws you straight in and makes you feel part of the community.
A thoroughly enjoyable read and a delightful addition to the series. I’m already hoping there’s more to come.

A delightful book cover to cover. The characters of Emmie and Cameron have their dilemmas, a forming relationship, and easy bantering made it so easy to fall in love with them and invest in their story. Both Emmie and Cameron are searching for empowerment and trust as they work to resurrect a small town hotel pub. He left an illustrious chef career and needs a life reset. She has been tasked by her parents to run their hotel but her father is stubborn and demands she leave her big city ideas behind. Together they work around her dad and find that they make a great team.

A (in)famous chef down on his luck and a harried single mom meet and clash in “A Little Taste of Home”, by Jacinta Peachey, a lovely story about food and cooking, starting over and unexpected but wondrous opportunities.
I loved the characters, young and old people, and how easily they connect or diverge.
Cameron is a very special hero and the relation food/cooking/love/caring is wonderful, a pleasure to watch.
I enjoyed the initial antagonism/friction between Cameron and Emmie and how he is still so protective of the small family (the scene between Cameron and Gregg is exquisite).
I really liked watching the hero heal and conquer or control his demons in the beautiful setting of Dolphin Cove.
Emmie is a saint, putting up with her father’s demands must be so tiring.
I loved meeting again Ben, Jasmine and the other characters from the first story, including, of course, the delightful and energetic seniors.
The friendship, love, affection across generations is hearwarming.
