After losing two children in infancy and surviving three miscarriages, Christina Greer, who suffers from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and secondary infertility, attempts one last time to become a mother. She keeps readers in suspense as she details her final and twentieth year of suffering through the “two-week wait,” the time period between ovulation and taking a pregnancy test. After announcing her pregnancy, Christina brings readers along as she goes through a harrowing high-risk pregnancy and traumatic birth. People who are struggling or have struggled through infertility or child loss will find hope in this true story of grief and joy on the road to motherhood.
This was an amazing book that I won on Good Reads First Reads. This book is written from a woman's blogs. It is written very well and is easy to read. I felt so much compassion for the author. I actually felt like I became part of her. It is about her many struggles in life but mostly about her fertility issues. It is a must read. I didn't want it to end I wanted to know more.
A very heart-warming work that I'm sure every mother can relate to making it yet another one of the amazing books I would (and will be) recommending to mothers across the globe! Thank you for giving us all the opportunity to read this!
Christina's journey to motherhood tugged at my heart from beginning to end. May her story give hope to other women with similar experiences. Heart-wrenching. Heartwarming. Loved it!
