Maybe this book wasn't meant to be read straight through, or maybe I am not a complete idiot when it comes to baking. In either case, I had problems with the repetition (entire paragraphs were repeated multiple times as if I hadn't read them), the remedial information listed (I know it says it is for idiots but I find it hard to believe that even an idiot needs the term "stir" defined), and the almost complete absence of useful information.

To be fair, I worked in a bakery for over a year, and have baked most of my life, so this probably just wasn't the book for me. Also, I didn't read the whole thing. I made it through the first four chapters and retained my sanity, maybe the rest would have been better, who knows.
