2113 ~ Originally released as part of the EROS - Indie Erotic Author Challenge 2015:1 What would happen if the world's bee population was to be wiped out? Scientists estimate that the world's human population would have a life expectancy of approximately 100 years. Fact: in 2014 Scientists killed large populations of bees, amounts exceeded the hundreds of thousands by planting genetically modified crops. This is the basis for my Post Apocalyptic short story. This may be a short story, but it will have you wanting more.
I absolutely loved writing this short story as part of the EROS Indie Erotic Author Challenge 2015:1.
The experience I received by thinking outside my normal genre to create a Dystopian - Post Apocalyptic/Sci-fi short story has me now working on plots to add to and grow 2113 into something more than just a short story.
I hope that everyone enjoys it as much as I loved writing it.
I ran outta book! I was like reading and enjoying the story and then BOOM done Im like whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
Think hmmmmm the Movies 'The Island' and 'Neon Flux' all rolled into one movie and then put it in a book, with kickarse lead characters! Dont know these movies? Ok let me explain.
So basically scientists plant genetically modified crops which essentially are crap, only they dont realise what it does to the bee population right? Said bees take modified pollen crap to other flowers and so spreads a chain reaction(not in the book but hell its a great theory), in the meantime killing all the bees in the process! Now a fact(also not in the story), how much do we actually know about bees? I mean they have such a delicate intricate importance yet they are just bees! What happens to us? Well theres where the story is.....what happens to the humans?
Its a cleverly written sci-fi mixed erotica mixed, kickarse little story! Felt like I really could be a ninja!......LOVED IT!!!
I love all of Melissa Bell's books and this one didn't disappoint. Even though it is not her normal genre she hit the nail on the head with this one. I love the story line, the characters and the 'action'. This story leaves you wanting more.

This was way different from this authors normal books but it was well worth reading. Good strong characters & a plot line to keep you reading. I've read several books by this author & she never disappoints. Can't wait to read more.

OMG what can I say but I loved this book and the storyline. Melissa had me hooked from the first page and I hope that there is a second book so I can find out what happens. I was with the two main characters all the way, wondering what going to happen next. I am hoping that there is going to be another book because I really want to know what is going to happen next. I read this in a night as I couldn't leave it till I finished it. Well worth a read you won't be disappointed. I had this book from the author for a honest review
If you have read any of Melissa's books in the past then as you get reading this book, you will realized it is not like any of her other books. Yes she writes paranormal fantasy books. But in this book she had to imagine farther than she normally would have. She had to imagine a possibly realistic new kind of world that even as we read the book we could imagine it also. Does she do that you ask.. Only you will know when you read it for yourself.
I've never read Melissa Bell's work before, thankfully I've been introduced to her by the Eros-Indie Erotica Author Challenge 2015! I really enjoyed this well written, short story. I was completely immersed in her dystopian world, the characters were likeable, the premise was interesting, and the erotica was steamy. My hope is that this story is continued...I'm invested and need to know what happens for Malachai and Quoi (also hoping Kobi gets his own HEA)!
I really want to give this more stars. The concept has so much potential. After reading, I discovered that this was part of an anthology. It explains the rushed story, but I would have preferred an excerpt over a rushed story. It could have been expanded to tell a GREAT story. Leaving out the erotica, it would still be a decent story. I just felt that there was so much more to tell.
a very clever plot with an amazing strong leading lady, this book is good start to what i hope develops into a series as this could lead to some amazing story lines ..well done in taking the plunge into something out of your comfort zone Mellisa Bell
This story has great potential for a series, it's very different from Melissa bell's usual writing but still well written and entertaining. I would have liked it to be longer so you could see more of the chatacters and plot but it's still great.
this is another great read by Melissa Bell, not one I would really go for but genuinely enjoyed this short story, plenty of action, chemistry, oooh and scenes loved them too, the story line you just don't want it to end. I received this for my honest review.
I read this as part of Melissa's compilation book and absolutely loved it. You fall in love with the characters right from the start and the story is fantastic, it definitely leads you wanting more
