This is not the first relationship book that I have read but it is definitely one of the best. The frank and honest approach of the author allows me to learn from her experiences. My prayer is that there will never again be a toxic female relationship in my life. Additionally, I am confident that I have the tools I need in order to be a better friend in ALL of my relationships!

I thought this book had a lot of great points and things to ponder. There were a few minor things I did not necessarily agree with the author on and don’t like that she made blanket statements about, but for the most part it made me think a lot about female relationships and how we can strengthen them.

I received this as an early reviewer from the publisher.
While I was very excited to dive into this book the moment it arrived on my front porch I must admit I felt slightly disappointed by the end of it. I felt the subject had so much potential and would be able to delve into the psychology behind these toxic relationships rather than simply talking about them. I also didn't realize that this was a Christian book, which offered something unique to the perspective that was shown. The chapters took a look at different kinds of toxic relationships and offered example throughout the bible as well as personal stories from the author. While I was hoping for more the main theme ended up being exactly what you would expect from a book like this and that is 'Change starts with You'. Since I finished this book I have been able to apply certain elements to my everyday life and have been able to open my heart more and more to the women around me. My only recommendation for those looking to read this is to go in understanding that the author is not a psychologist, she does not go into the reasoning women can be so hard to work with. Rather she goes into why need to love and forgive them. A good read but not quite what I was hoping for.

Woman at War is a power-packed battle guide for calling women to freedom through revelation and spiritual training. Jan addresses mother/daughter relationships, sister relationships, friendships and church ministry relationships. She points us to the truth and offers practical resources for walking out the principles found in this book.

I am glad that I read Women at War and recommend that you read it too.

So what does this book have to do with restoration? A lot!

After reading it, I was called to action—to be the woman that God created, to stop letting the enemy uses his tactic to trip me up and try to take me out.

I felt like several issues I had been dealing with were put to rest, or at least experienced a cease-fie, as I read the freeing words found in this book.

Beautifully written and well organized book with inspirational bible quotes. Perfect blend of psychology and Christianity. Nice cover art too! Strongly recommended.
